About: I have been caring for animals my entire life. As a 10 year old child, I was fostering dogs while managing my schoolwork and evolving social life. I have had and cared for many different types of pets, including (but not limited to): dogs, cats, birds, hermit crabs, and hamsters. As a 28 year old adult, I now have a sweet dog named Zelda (GSD/Husky mix, 5yrs, 60lbs), whom I adopted at 3 months. I trained her myself and had her fully housebroken with no accidents within 5 months. I have also cared for and assisted in training my mother's dog Sumo (St. Bernard, ~9yrs, 165lbs. With my life experience and graduate degree in psychology, I am very capable of handing whatever comes my way. I look forward to meeting you and your baby! I am working part-time on the weekends and on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursday nights. Therefore, I have a great deal of time to dedicate to your loved ones and make sure they are well cared for! I regularly take my dogs out for relief and exercise in my yard. They get regular feedings and water bowl cleanings to make sure they are well fed and hydrated. When it gets hot, I make sure to add ice cubes to their water, provide them with pupsicles (frozen dog safe ice cream!), and keep the AC running. I always make sure to build in playtime and snuggles to make them feel loved and cared for.

“We had booked Alexa for 9 days and then had our plans change suddenly and she was so understanding and accommodating. She ended up coming 3 visits a day for 3 days and was always on time and spent her visits playing with Pepper. We received our photos and updates each visit and can’t believe Pepper actually played in the yard!!! With us she isn’t much of a toy lover which says a lot! When we arrived home we can tell Pepper was on good hands! She is currently lying on the couch and completely content! We hope to book with Alexa again in the future!”

About: I have the ability to reinforce basic commands like sit, stay, and recall during walks or sitting sessions. I have the ability to channel their boundless energy in a productive way, whether through play or structured exercise. I have a 11 year old pit bull which gives me experience with caring for a senior dog but understanding the slower pace, possible joint pain, or health issues that may require extra care. Being observant of subtle signs of discomfort, such as limping & notifying the owner if needed. Knowledge of how to administration oral medications & liquids. I am currently an entrepreneur which gives me more free time to provide the necessary care for your pet care. With such a flexible schedule I’m able to be available any day & anytime My two dogs are fenced it at home where they have a nice big yard to exercise & run around. I also take them on frequent walks especially the senior dog to be able to be more mobile on his legs.

I believe in mutual respect, gentle care, and transparency, and would treat your pup the same way I would want mine to be cared for. My friends’ furbabies affectionately call me “auntie” :) I understand how being away from your loved one can cause stress or anxiety (unfortunately, we had a bad experience with a sitter once, so I personally relate to this feeling all too well). I can provide multiple updates a day (or less) if you’d like — photos, videos, and even video calls — whatever will help you feel comforted that they are safe and well cared for. We have a unique property, a huge, park-like fully-fenced yard on a cul-de-sac street (but the fence is only 4 ft high, please confirm that your dog cannot jump it). I have a medium size crate if your pups like them. Multiple dog beds throughout the house and no more than 5 stairs anywhere. I’m equipped to take in two dogs at a time, but I don’t have to if you prefer your pup to have a solo stay.

About: I am lifetime cat owner and currently have 4 cats and 1 dog of my own. I have fostered several dogs, I volunteer as a dog handler at adoption events and socializing cats in boarding. I have attended training for my own dog for obedience. I am currently retired, so I am pretty flexible on hours, however I prefer daytime care. I am available on weekends or weekdays with a little advanced notice. My cats and the dog are well fed and always have fresh water. The cats and dog nails are clipped; they are always groomed. The cats litter box is cleaned multiple times a day. The dog gets taken outside or walked numerous times a day. The cats and dog have plenty of toys and are always given plenty of love.

About: I am current graduate student at Ramapo college looking for a new way to spend time with dogs (since I can’t get one of my own just yet)! I just ended my time volunteering at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay as a short term volunteer with completing my undergraduate degree. In the past I have worked at a dog daycare taking care of 15-20 dogs at a time. I pet sit for friends and family all the time but I am looking to meet new furry friends. I’m currently working part-time and going to school full-time. I have large chunks of time off. My weekend schedule is free for walking and during the week the same. I will not offer in-home services as I have a family pet that does not get along well with other dogs, but does great with humans.

About: I’ve been in absolute love with dogs since Jackson waddled into our lives when I was 9. I’ve been dogsitting cowowker’s’ pups (and cats) for the last few years and love everything about it. Happy to stay in the home; bonus points if the pups “have” to sleep in the bed with me 😁 I have more flexibility over the weekends but am free after 4 during the week. From July-end of August I’m a lot more of a free bird! My current home isn’t big enough for the favorite member(s) of your family, but I am very professional when staying at your home (I’ve never opened a single medicine cabinet). I love that I can keep your pets as comfortable as possible in their own home and am happy to do whatever funny breakfast or night routine that they need!

About: I've always been an animal lover through & through. Much to my father's dismay (and my delight), my mother brought home 2 dogs for me and my sister between the years of kindergarten & 2nd grade. As I grew up, I took on more & more responsibilities related to caring for our new canine family members. My husband & I don't currently have a dog mostly due to my work schedule (for that reason we have 2 lovely, social cats, who we adore), so I get my fill by frequently dog-sitting for my parents and sister. Through caring for my parent's dog, I learned about more advanced medication administration and other special needs. I'm innately a genuinely caring & affectionate person who will go beyond the staples of basic care and will make sure your pup feels loved & cherished, like a family member. I work as per diem occupational therapist in home health. I treat residents all over Bergen County, and I make my own schedule, so I'm flexible as long as I know who I'm seeing & where I need to be at least a few days in advance. I am a huge proponent of the Meet & Greet (M&G) session. This is a step that I feel should not be missed, as it helps to minimize the risk of any hiccups, so you can fully enjoy your time spent out of town! At the M&G, you'll show me how I can safely enter your home, where the food and other essential supplies are kept, and you will be encouraged to share info re: your doggy's daily routine, i.e. feeding & play preferences, specific behaviors I should know about, medications if needed, rules re: treats, or if other equipment like crates and/or ramps are necessary, as well as what to do in case of an emergency. Most importantly, it also gives your pup the opportunity to meet me prior to the first dog-sitting session, which I feel is an important exercise in trust-building.

About: I have always grown up with dogs at home and I've assisted my older sister in taking care of dogs from a very young age. My availability can be seen by viewing my calendar! I am away for a good portion of the summer due to school activities, but on the days I am available I am very flexible! After August 20th I will no longer be available for services. My utmost concern for all animals under my care is safety and happiness. My goal is keeping your pet happy and healthy while you are away.
