About: I've been trusted to take care of others' pets and children since I was 12 years old. As a reliable, positive, and calm pet sitter, I will ensure your pet gets the love, care, and attention they deserve! I'm new to the area, but prior to moving, I was regularly asked to pet/house sit via word of mouth recommendations and repeat clients. Between my own dogs and cats and those I've sat for, I have experience with a variety of ages, from 8 weeks old to elderly, as well as a variety of breeds, needs, and social levels. I especially love working with puppies despite the amount of work they are; a simple repetitive routine of potty, eat, potty, play/train, potty, crate, makes a world of difference (trust me - I've learned the hard way). If you're a new puppy parent, I'd be thrilled to be a part of your pup's development! Growing up, I experienced the amazing love of three dogs and two cats (plus one hamster and countless fish) in my household. Now, as an adult, I'm a very proud dog mom to our almost-3-year-old Australian Shepherd named Ekko (short for Ekko-location Sly Rover Fantastic Bruce). We adopted him at 12 weeks old from an accidental litter, and he's added such joy and fulfillment to our lives. He might be my biggest pet resume boost. He is a wicked smart, high energy dude who requires a lot of structure and attention to thrive, and I wouldn't have it any other way. He gets daily training, puzzles, walks, crate time, scratches, and snuggles. As a full-time grad student with extra time on my hands, I would love to put that same amount of energy towards your furry friends - and if Ekko gets to benefit too by making a new friend, well that'd be the cherry on top! I'm a full-time grad student with a few evening classes a week. Outside of that, my schedule is flexible, and I'm available to care for your pet any time. I want your pet to feel calm and confident no matter where I'm caring for them. I'm always respectful of your pets routines and personality. Some pets are nonstop goofballs and some are shy and sleepy, so I give them as much space or play time as they'd like! With every service I provide, I would never make assumptions about your pet without your approval, from foods they can eat to places they can go. Trusting someone else with your pet is a big deal, and it can be nerve-wracking for your pet too! To ensure I'm a good fit for you and your pet, and in order to provide the best care possible, I will request a Meet and Greet before beginning service. I currently have multiple pets of my own, a big love for plants, and I study Japanese while working on my MBA — so I’m organized, reliable, and used to juggling responsibilities. You can always count on clear communication, updates, and lots of photos while you’re away! Over the years, I have cared for dog of all shapes, sizes, ages and needs through my own ownership and my time working at an animal shelter. From a 7 pound Pomeranian that required regular medication administration, to a 165 pound Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, to the many dogs that would come through the shelter to be adopted. I work full time Monday through Friday, but I have a very flexible schedule and can work remotely as needed as long as advance notice is given. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow your routines closely to keep things familiar and stress-free. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, energy level, and boundaries so they always feel secure with me. For walks, I use secure leashes, stay aware of surroundings, and avoid unsafe areas or interactions with unknown dogs. I’m patient, calm, and confident handling different temperaments. I’m respectful of your space, tidy, and always double-check locks, gates, and doors. You can expect clear communication, quick responses, and lots of photo updates for peace of mind.

About: I grew up on a farm and with numerous cats & dogs! Right now I have two cats of my own, but I’ve also had experience caring for other people’s dogs over the years:) I’m currently working part time and a full time student at American University. However, I really love animals and am more than happy to make time to care for them! I’ve had pets my whole life so I’m very adaptable to yours pets needs because I understand that they can vary greatly depending on the animals and their personality! :)
