“I had a great experience with Mary being in our home while away for work. She was very attentive and engaged with Kona our dog, making sure she got plenty of attention, playtime, and care while I was away. It was clear Kona felt comfortable and happy with Mary. She also treated our home with respect, keeping everything clean, tidy, and well cared for, she even watered my plants. I truly appreciated the peace of mind knowing I could trust her in our home and caring for Kona.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hailey did an amazing job caring for our home and pets while we were away for four days and three nights. From the start, she was professional, dependable, and easy to communicate with, which gave us great peace of mind during our trip. Our pets were clearly well cared for and received plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. Hailey kept us updated while we were away, and it was reassuring to know everything was going smoothly. When we returned home, our pets were happy and relaxed, and our house was clean, secure, and well maintained. Hailey went above and beyond our expectations and treated both our home and pets as if they were her own. Her rates were very fair, especially considering the outstanding level of care and service she provided. We highly recommend Hailey to anyone looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and caring house and pet sitter. We will absolutely be using her services again in the future. Thank you, Hailey!”

“Lillie housesit and pet sit for my two cats. She is very conscientious and was adaptable to some last minute changes to my schedule. She arrived on time and brought everything she needed for her stay. I felt very confident about leaving her in my home taking care of Spencer and Shelby. She cleaned out their litter boxes (all three of them!) - a pleasant surprise, as I hadn’t asked her to. Very satisfied with her.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was born and understand how animals behave on a expert level. I trained my now 6 year old dog on many tricks when he was a puppy and continue to teach him new things. I also took care of a 2 week old puppy for months about 1 year ago. Next year I will be going to college for a veterinarian career. I am free of responsibilities this summer but actively applying to part-time jobs. I have a car I can use to drive however many times a day for your buddy. Im not scared of pets but am very cautious. I let them get to know me and when they are comfortable I love playing with them. My dog is a big guy and can play very aggressively but that doesn’t make me neglect him, I just tone it down when he gets too excited. I also love teaching dogs new tricks if requested!

“Lorianne was absolutely incredible with our pets! Our dog is very timid and wary of strangers, but he absolutely loved her! She sent pictures and updates regularly, and we felt very safe with her :)”

“Amber was wonderful!! I was nervous leaving my baby with someone other than family. She made me feel comfortable and safe. Updated me with pictures! I came home to a very happy boy.”

“Cassandra was super professional and sweet with my dog Willow! Id admit my willow isn’t good with new people but Cassandra was calm and patient with her and went above and beyond with the care of my willow! Id definitely want her services again and so would my willow ?”

“Rebecca is amazing. She’s always attentive to my instructions, She’s always sending me so many photos of my baby . She is very responsible and she always leaves my place looking immaculate will recommend her to anyone.”

“Madison did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend her. She was very responsible, sent us updates and photos, and went above and beyond what was asked. She even made a banana bread with some bananas that had gone brown!”
“Nabilah has sat for 2x now each time she is 100% on task with Cassidy informative, followed all directions to assist with Cassidy’s schedule and medication needs, we are always confident that Cassidy will be in great hands with Nabilah!!!!! Thank you against Jean”

“She did such an amazing job! She sent me daily videos and pictures of my pups and they seemed really happy. Thank you so much!! We will definitely be using you again when the time comes!!!”
“Carmen did a wonderful job watching our home and caring for our senior dog while we were away. She gave us periodic updates while we were gone but was also always available whenever we reached out to her to make sure things were going smoothly. When we arrived home, you would have never known she was here, she left everything just as clean as when she arrived. We will absolutely be booking her again in the future!”

“Jessica truly is a 10/10! She is reliable, communicative, responsible, and she showered my dogs and cats with endless love during her stay. Jessica sent me updates and photos each day! It was extremely comforting to know that my fur babies were in good hands while I was away! She also kept everything very clean for the animals and made my house extra tidy for my return (even took out the garbage she used, which was not necessary …but it highlights the attention to detail and care she has). I will be using her for future bookings and would happily refer her to my friends and family! I highly recommend!”

“He didn't just come over to the house to watch my pets, he actually took care of my home in my absence. I came back to a tidier house than when I left and I was highly impressed by how my puppy seemed a bit more trained and aware than she did before I left her under his care. I can tell he spent a lot of personalized attention on her. Even my large dog seemed to love him, and he doesn't even take well to males. I highly suggest Jerome. He is very trustworthy and spends care on the details. Thank you so much.”

About: Hey I’m Camila! One that set apart from other siters is that I grew up on farm rising animals so taking care of animals have been part of my life as long as I can remember. Being around different types of animals made me comfortable with all types of pet personalities and temperatures. After moving to Florida I started volunteering at the humane society where I got in depth training on cats and dogs behavior and how to properly handle and care for them. Well right in college so I don’t have a set schedule or a job so I’m basically home all day except for Wednesdays and Thursdays that because I have class in the afternoon. I care for any animals as if they were my own by making sure there happy, comfortable and loved. I followed all instructions to a T because I understand the importance of why the instructions are there in the first place and how important routines are to pets!

“Natalie was an excellent sitter. We received several updates and pictures of the pets... something that is severely lacking from sitters in this area. She was also very early, which worked out great for us! Our home was also left neat and clean, huge huge plus for us. Also, we didn't come home to anxious dogs for once! Natalie was just top notch!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Up the Grove Beach
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 331 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Up the Grove Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Up the Grove Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Up the Grove Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Up the Grove Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Up the Grove Beach. On Rover:

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
