My last dog was with me for 15 years and eventually became blind-she was also epileptic, so I’m very comfortable with patience, medication routines, senior care, and providing calm, attentive support to anxious or aging pets. I currently have a well-socialized 2-year-old Mini Schnauzer that I raised from 8 weeks old, so I understand the importance of structure, consistency, exercise, and positive interaction. As a retired military veteran, I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and home full time, which means pets in my care receive a lot of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy creating a calm, safe environment where pets feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’m retired and home full time. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, medication support if needed, and lots of supervision throughout the day. Because I don’t have children or a demanding work schedule, I’m able to give pets consistent attention and maintain a calm, low-stress environment. In my home, pets have access to a safe, calm environment with a fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, exercise, and potty breaks. I also have a friendly 2-year-old Mini Schnauzer who enjoys the company of other dogs. However, I request that dogs boarded will have to be other-dog friendly for the safety of both the dogs and myself.

I have big fenced backyard for dogs to run around in and a park right across from my house so I can give them walks. I am a teen volunteer for Grady once a week from 8am-12pm, and from there I have the rest of the day free to care of your pet. I have a fully fenced yard with plenty of space for them to play. I’m experienced with crates and I do own some if needed. Also, safety is my top priority, and I always follow your pet’s needs and preferences to keep them comfortable, happy, and secure.

About: My name is Tameka and I am so excited to spend time with your fur baby! I have used Rover in the past so I understand the separation anxiety and concern often felt when leaving your loved one in a new place while you’re away. Knowing this, Rover has inspired me to want to offer the same service and reassurance I received. I rescued my sweet pit baby named Venus 6 years ago and she LOVES playing with other dogs! Is your dog active or a couch potato? We love a good walk but also- a good Netflix day. Either way- we follow their lead and can’t wait to meet your baby! I’m currently working part time in film so most of the time I’ll be rolling around with your pet and mine. Bathroom breaks can be provided as often as needed. Typically every 2-4 hours. We don’t typically crate dogs but require that dogs staying with us be crate & potty trained. My dog is usually laid back and stays to herself but will play when she’s up to it. We take leashed walks as often as needed and have plenty of toys, bones and an extra bed for your dog to lay in. Pets always sleep in the main bedroom with me.
