“Sarah was awesome as I needed her to check in on Harlie for a quick last minute trip for work. She was very flexible in squeezing in a quick meet and greet before leaving. She took great care of Harlie, took her for walks and made sure she had plenty of food and water. She is absolutely great with dogs and definitely use her again in the future!”

About: I am a dedicated dog mom with hands on experience caring for both active and senior dogs. I love daily walks and outdoor play, and I treat every dog with the same patience, attention, and care I give my own. I work full time Monday through Friday in White Salmon with some flexibility in my schedule and I’m also willing to stay overnight to provide consistent, reliable care for your pet in the comfort of their home if needed. I have a fenced yard for safe outdoor time and a friendly dog who enjoys playtime and walks. I follow each pet's routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special needs to make sure they feel comfortable and at home.

About: I’ve gotten to grow up around animals all my life, and have exposure with caring for a wide variety of different types. I have experience in training young dogs, and also experience in giving medical attention, like caring for wounds, dressing them and administering medications. I truly love animals, and I treat every pet like my own by always providing gentle care, attention, and a safe, loving environment while their owners are away. I’m currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to come and care for your pets! I work for about 5 hours on Saturdays and Sundays, which still leave me with lots of time to spend with your fur babies! I provide loving, reliable care by maintaining pets normal routines, including feeding times, fresh water, playtime, exercise, and cleaning up after them, while giving them plenty of attention and affection! I focus on creating a calm, safe environment where your pets feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for.

About: I’ve grown up with all types of animals my entire life. I’m well seasoned with dogs and cats of all ages, as well as temperaments. I have experience in training pups, taking extra special care of older dogs and cats, and I’m also comfortable giving medical attention and have experience with it. Currently I’m working part time; 5 hours on Saturday and on Sunday. I also attend school online leaving me with lots of free time to hangout with your pup or cat! I give your pet lots of care and attention while keeping your home tidy; making sure to stick to their routines so that your pet is able to stay comfortable when you’re away. I make sure they are fed accordingly, have fresh water, and get all the exercise and play time they need! I also handle basic care like cleaning litter boxes, picking up after dogs, and giving medications if required.
“Maddie was awesome with Luna! When I got back, Luna was doing great, well fed, and happy. I can tell that she enjoyed Maddie's company, and I appreciated Maddie's help a lot. I recommend Maddie to other people.”

“Callae did an amazing job with our big love bug. This was our first time ever having a "stranger" watch him, and Callae did everything to alleviate our concerns and treated our big guy like he was her very own dog. Apollo was well taken care of, and Callae went above and beyond to make sure he was given the time and attention he needed. We highly recommend Callae and will for sure call on her again the next time we need care for Apollo.”

About: I've been on Rover for over five years and I’ve been taking care of family and neighbor pets since I was little. My childhood pets have now passed on but I took care a of my dog with heart issues and learned CPR to take care of her. I’ve also volunteered at a couple animal shelters, so I’ve learned how to take care of pets with different types of issues. I currently work 4 days a week. I don’t have a set days that I work but I work in the mornings 7-10am and the evenings 5-10pm. So, there will be days where I would have to be away for up to 6 hours. Any of my free time, I would be hanging with your pet! :) I can’t have pets at my own house but I always make the pets feel very comfortable in their houses. I try to understand how they want to be loved, by cuddles or by a little bit of space. The pets are always my number 1 priority.
“Aaron continues to be an excellent caretaker for our two senior cats! We thoroughly appreciated his attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our cats were comfortable during a summer heat wave.”

I have experience watching doggies in my own home and in others home. l live next to great walking trails and a great park for fetch. About: I have 3 years of professional experience working with dogs and have been around animals my whole life. I grew up alongside dogs and have a deep love for making any pets day better. What sets me apart is my experience with dogs who need extra care and understanding. I have hands-on experience with special needs dogs, including caring for a dog who partially uses a wheelchair. I am comfortable assisting with mobility support, medications, senior care, and adjusting routines to meet each dog’s individual needs. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, and dogs that may be more challenging or require extra patience and structure. I genuinely enjoy working with high-energy dogs who need both physical and mental stimulation, as well as calm, mellow dogs who prefer a slower pace. I firmly believe every dog deserves respect, patience, and high-quality care, regardless of age, size, energy level, or behavioral challenges. I focus on creating a safe, positive, and stress-free experience by following routines closely, reading body language, and adapting my approach to each dog’s personality. My goal is to earn both the pet’s trust and the owner’s peace of mind. I currently work part-time and would love to take that as an opportunity to care for your pups! I'm available most weekdays for walks/hikes as well as drop-in visits. I currently provide care exclusively in clients homes, which allows pets to stay in a familiar, low-stress environment. I am comfortable adapting to pets schedules to ensure their exercise, feeding, and any medications they have stay familiar to them and keep them as comfortable as possible.

“Natasha was incredibly prompt with her response which I couldn't be more grateful for because it was last minute that we needed a sitter. Great updates and of course adorable photos. She was even kind enough to bring a package in for us that was out on the porch!”

“Cali has been an amazing sitter for our dogs! She communicates well with all details needed and shows up for visits on time. I always get pictures and messages about how the visit went. Cali is reliable and wonderful to work with. We will continue to book with her as our first choice whenever we can!”

“John took great care of our elderly dog and took away a lot of the stress involved with letting a stranger in your house to take care of your pets. I’m glad we found him and highly recommend him!”

About: Growing up, my family always had cats, dogs, Guinea pigs, ferrets, fish, and more. Being around animals is nothing new to me and is a huge part of why I have a huge heart for animals now. I currently live in BZ Corner in a house with a fenced yard with my two cats, Archie and Oliver, and my golden retriever named Seager. Archie is 4 years old, Oliver is 6 years old, and Seager is a year old. I do work two part time jobs, but I am available most days in the afternoon. Just send me a message and I’ll let you know if I am available! I love all animals! My cats are my babies and I shower them with love. They have lots of toys and even have harnesses for me to take them on walks and two cat trees to climb on. Seager, the newest baby to the family, is my pride and joy. He is crazy but so loving. He gets to go on multiple walks a day and even gets to go down to the waterfront on the weekends. After a walk with your pet, I will make sure your pet has water and place them back where they were before I took them on our walk. I will of course make sure they get their energy out with toys, give them a ton of pets, and make sure they go potty on our walk as well. I do have a large yard, and it is newly fenced! I live far away from the main road and do not have many neighbors.
“Hello, Thanks again for taking care of our four-legged family! They were not only alive, but seemed way less stressed than on previous trips to the vet for overnight stays. If you're available, we will certainly look to book you again. Aside- The door was locked, but we didn't see the top lock key on the keychain. Please let us know if you left it separately or need to drop it off. Thanks and take care!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Underwood
Kali did an excellent job caring for our cat for the 4 days we were away, including giving him lots of pets which he really likes, brush grooming, and playing with him & his toy. She was consistent with his feeding schedule and took care of his litter box--very complete pet services. You can tell our cat really likes her from her visit photos, which we are happy about and feel he is in good hands with her. We recommend her for cat sitting.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
