About: I’ve grown up with all types of animals my entire life. I’m well seasoned with dogs and cats of all ages, as well as temperaments. I have experience in training pups, taking extra special care of older dogs and cats, and I’m also comfortable giving medical attention and have experience with it. Currently I’m working part time; 5 hours on Saturday and on Sunday. I also attend school online leaving me with lots of free time to hangout with your pup or cat! I give your pet lots of care and attention while keeping your home tidy; making sure to stick to their routines so that your pet is able to stay comfortable when you’re away. I make sure they are fed accordingly, have fresh water, and get all the exercise and play time they need! I also handle basic care like cleaning litter boxes, picking up after dogs, and giving medications if required.

About: I’ve gotten to grow up around animals all my life, and have exposure with caring for a wide variety of different types. I have experience in training young dogs, and also experience in giving medical attention, like caring for wounds, dressing them and administering medications. I truly love animals, and I treat every pet like my own by always providing gentle care, attention, and a safe, loving environment while their owners are away. I’m currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to come and care for your pets! I work for about 5 hours on Saturdays and Sundays, which still leave me with lots of time to spend with your fur babies! I provide loving, reliable care by maintaining pets normal routines, including feeding times, fresh water, playtime, exercise, and cleaning up after them, while giving them plenty of attention and affection! I focus on creating a calm, safe environment where your pets feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for.
About: Grew up with a cat. Been watching and walking dogs since I was a kid. Would also love to offer hikes and runs for dogs too. I work from home and have a flexible schedule so can shoot of to walk or run or water or feed pets at a moments notice. I love to have dogs off leash when they are trust worthy. Otherwise on lead walks are a great way to keep pets safe. Also double checking locks when dropping them home
About: I'm an experienced dog sitter and former dog mom just returning to Rover and accepting new and returning clients! I have decades of experience taking care of dogs, including my own, friends', and dogs in rescues and shelters. I was the dog-walking coordinator for a dog rescue and a dog-walking volunteer for a public shelter for years. I actually grew up afraid of dogs and it was a big deal for me to start volunteering to walk strange dogs; it helped build my confidence, and I was -- and still am -- very attuned to what's going on with the creature at the other end of the leash. I believe every dog has unique needs and temperament and honor these while they're in my care to ensure they feel as secure and safe as possible. DOG SITTING AND BOARDING: I work from home as an editor, so your dog will get lots of attention and potty breaks. Your dog is welcome to join me on the couch or lie at my feet for regular pets, or chill in another room in or out of a crate. Whatever will make your dog feel most at ease while you're away. I recently lost my own 15-year-old dog, so your pup will be my sole focus (and will get lots of love and care). I have a fully fenced yard at my home for potty breaks (separate from walks/hikes). If you don't have a fully fenced yard at your home, it's no problem to take your dog for leashed potty walks as frequently as necessary.
“Sarah was awesome as I needed her to check in on Harlie for a quick last minute trip for work. She was very flexible in squeezing in a quick meet and greet before leaving. She took great care of Harlie, took her for walks and made sure she had plenty of food and water. She is absolutely great with dogs and definitely use her again in the future!”

About: I've been on Rover for over five years and I’ve been taking care of family and neighbor pets since I was little. My childhood pets have now passed on but I took care a of my dog with heart issues and learned CPR to take care of her. I’ve also volunteered at a couple animal shelters, so I’ve learned how to take care of pets with different types of issues. I currently work 4 days a week. I don’t have a set days that I work but I work in the mornings 7-10am and the evenings 5-10pm. So, there will be days where I would have to be away for up to 6 hours. Any of my free time, I would be hanging with your pet! :) I can’t have pets at my own house but I always make the pets feel very comfortable in their houses. I try to understand how they want to be loved, by cuddles or by a little bit of space. The pets are always my number 1 priority.
About: I am a dedicated dog mom with hands on experience caring for both active and senior dogs. I love daily walks and outdoor play, and I treat every dog with the same patience, attention, and care I give my own. I work full time Monday through Friday in White Salmon with some flexibility in my schedule and I’m also willing to stay overnight to provide consistent, reliable care for your pet in the comfort of their home if needed. I have a fenced yard for safe outdoor time and a friendly dog who enjoys playtime and walks. I follow each pet's routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special needs to make sure they feel comfortable and at home.
About: I have a big heart for animals (especially cats and dogs). I am very passionate and driven, i’ll make sure your pets have their needs (and wants) full filled! I work Monday-Thursday from 7-3ish normally. This being said I have most of my afternoons open and weekends and nights available to stay overnight or just walk your pets! I am very gentle and caring with animals, but I can be stern if needed. I don’t accept overnights in my own home due to allergies etc. But I will make sure your dog/cat has everything they need and gets love and attention in their home. I know how to handle big and small dogs, and most of the time I can keep them contained on a lead too.
About: 5 months of volunteer experience in a private shelter in Romania, taking care of 80+ dogs at any given time. Recently adopted one of the dogs from the shelter. Dogs and cats have always been present in my family. On M/W/F, at 8AM-2:30PM, I attend massage school in Portland. On the days I go to school, I do have periods of time, early morning and early evening, to check on your fur babies. Aside from that, my free days, Tue/Thur/Sat/Sun, are fully open for whatever frequency is needed to check on your animals. I have a fenced yard with two dogs that are social. Occasionally there is a cat present. I’m fully comfortable taking your dogs on walks, playing with them, or just sitting and keeping them company.
“John took great care of our elderly dog and took away a lot of the stress involved with letting a stranger in your house to take care of your pets. I’m glad we found him and highly recommend him!”

“Natasha was incredibly prompt with her response which I couldn't be more grateful for because it was last minute that we needed a sitter. Great updates and of course adorable photos. She was even kind enough to bring a package in for us that was out on the porch!”

“We have relied on Callae multiple times to care for our two senior cats. We really appreciate her attentiveness and communication throughout her visits. Thank you again, Callae!”
About: Growing up, my family always had cats, dogs, Guinea pigs, ferrets, fish, and more. Being around animals is nothing new to me and is a huge part of why I have a huge heart for animals now. I currently live in BZ Corner in a house with a fenced yard with my two cats, Archie and Oliver, and my golden retriever named Seager. Archie is 4 years old, Oliver is 6 years old, and Seager is a year old. I do work two part time jobs, but I am available most days in the afternoon. Just send me a message and I’ll let you know if I am available! I love all animals! My cats are my babies and I shower them with love. They have lots of toys and even have harnesses for me to take them on walks and two cat trees to climb on. Seager, the newest baby to the family, is my pride and joy. He is crazy but so loving. He gets to go on multiple walks a day and even gets to go down to the waterfront on the weekends. After a walk with your pet, I will make sure your pet has water and place them back where they were before I took them on our walk. I will of course make sure they get their energy out with toys, give them a ton of pets, and make sure they go potty on our walk as well. I do have a large yard, and it is newly fenced! I live far away from the main road and do not have many neighbors.
About: I have 3 years of professional experience working with dogs and have been around animals my whole life. I grew up alongside dogs and have a deep love for making any pets day better. What sets me apart is my experience with dogs who need extra care and understanding. I have hands-on experience with special needs dogs, including caring for a dog who partially uses a wheelchair. I am comfortable assisting with mobility support, medications, senior care, and adjusting routines to meet each dog’s individual needs. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, and dogs that may be more challenging or require extra patience and structure. I genuinely enjoy working with high-energy dogs who need both physical and mental stimulation, as well as calm, mellow dogs who prefer a slower pace. I firmly believe every dog deserves respect, patience, and high-quality care, regardless of age, size, energy level, or behavioral challenges. I focus on creating a safe, positive, and stress-free experience by following routines closely, reading body language, and adapting my approach to each dog’s personality. My goal is to earn both the pet’s trust and the owner’s peace of mind. I currently work part-time and would love to take that as an opportunity to care for your pups! I'm available most weekdays for walks/hikes as well as drop-in visits. I currently provide care exclusively in clients homes, which allows pets to stay in a familiar, low-stress environment. I am comfortable adapting to pets schedules to ensure their exercise, feeding, and any medications they have stay familiar to them and keep them as comfortable as possible.
“Cali has been an amazing sitter for our dogs! She communicates well with all details needed and shows up for visits on time. I always get pictures and messages about how the visit went. Cali is reliable and wonderful to work with. We will continue to book with her as our first choice whenever we can!”

“Aaron did an absolutely fantastic job of taking care of our two senior cats! He was kind, prompt, attentive, and responsive. Unfortunately, one of our cats had an issue, but Aaron went above and beyond in attending to our cat’s needs as well as cleaning up after our cat. We highly recommend Aaron for taking care of your pets!”
“Hello, Thanks again for taking care of our four-legged family! They were not only alive, but seemed way less stressed than on previous trips to the vet for overnight stays. If you're available, we will certainly look to book you again. Aside- The door was locked, but we didn't see the top lock key on the keychain. Please let us know if you left it separately or need to drop it off. Thanks and take care!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Underwood
Kali did an excellent job caring for our cat for the 4 days we were away, including giving him lots of pets which he really likes, brush grooming, and playing with him & his toy. She was consistent with his feeding schedule and took care of his litter box--very complete pet services. You can tell our cat really likes her from her visit photos, which we are happy about and feel he is in good hands with her. We recommend her for cat sitting.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
