About: Hi! I’m Gussie — a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and needs. I’ve had animals my entire life, from bunnies and cats to big lovable dogs. Growing up, I cared for my white Lab, who had several medical issues. I took full responsibility for his care in high school — giving medication, monitoring his health, and making sure he felt loved and safe every day until he sadly passed. More recently, I adopted my golden retriever almost two years ago and trained him myself. He has a reliable recall, a strong sit and stay, and knows all the basic tricks. It’s been such a rewarding experience building that trust and communication together. These experiences have made me passionate about giving animals the same thoughtful care and love they bring into our lives. Whether your pet needs a high-energy playmate, a calm and comforting presence, or someone with experience giving medication, I’ll treat them with the same care and affection I’d want for my own. I believe animals are family, and I treat them that way. I’d love to meet you and your furry loved one soon! I live in a house with a fenced-in backyard in Nashville with my boyfriend and our golden retriever, Yadi! He’s a very sweet and social boy who gets along great with other dogs. I work from home, so I’m home the majority of the day and have a very flexible schedule. That means your pet will get lots of attention, playtime, and care throughout the day — they’ll rarely (if ever) be left alone. Your pet is welcome anywhere in our home, whether they like to curl up on the couch or sunbathe by the door. I’m happy to stick to any routines or rules they follow at home — whether that’s no furniture, special diets, or extra snuggles before bed. I can also send regular updates and plenty of pictures so you can relax while you’re away. Creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment is my top priority when caring for pets — whether they’re in my home or I’m visiting theirs. At my home, pets are welcomed into a calm, dog-friendly space with a fully fenced backyard and plenty of room to play or relax. I live with my boyfriend and our golden retriever, Yadi, who is very sweet and gets along well with other dogs. I work from home, so pets are rarely left alone and get plenty of attention throughout the day. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible and can accommodate crate training, feeding schedules, medication, or any special needs. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and routines — I know how important it is for pets to feel secure in their own environment. I stick to their normal walking routes, feeding schedules, and rules (whether they’re allowed on the couch or not!). I always aim to keep things stress-free and familiar so they can stay happy and relaxed while you’re away. Whether in my home or yours, I care for every pet as if they were my own — with kindness, patience, and attention to detail.

About: I have an 8 year old shih tzu named Arthur that is well trained and calm. He is very friendly with other dogs. Our home has a large fenced in back yard to roam around. I mostly work from home so I’m able to let them out on frequent potty breaks and keep my eye on them around the house. Arthur loves his daily walks and would love to have a new furry friend join us. I dog sit family pets multiple times per month— from puppies to adults that are different breeds. I work from home Monday through Friday and am available most weekends. My husband also works from home Monday and Tuesday and is around to assist. Our jobs are not hectic so we have plenty of time to care for our dog plus hopefully yours! I have a fenced In back yard and two extra rooms if a dog needs to be in a crate. Our home has a lot of space for the dog to wander and feel comfortable.

“Laura was great with Kenan. She’s usually really shy around other people but she left her house happy as a clam. And she sent me tons of pictures of my happy baby girl :)”

About: Enthusiastic dog dad who has been caring for animals large and small for friends and professionally since I was 15. Very conscientious and willing to tailor care to the individual. Whether I am watching a a 6 month old pup or a 12 year old senior, I will ensure they enjoy their stay. I am a young professional who works from home Monday through Friday. I exercise and give potty breaks as often as weather permits with no more than 4-5 hrs between. I am also happy to take leashed walks and or obedience train outside of business hours and weekends upon request. My home has a brand new secure privacy fence that stays locked with nice size yard. I do not leave dogs outside while I am away and have security/dog monitoring cameras. Your dog will stay in my home dog area and will only be crated if necessary. Lots of windows and separated so there is no access to the front door if you have one that likes to bolt. A safe environment for my dog and yours is my number one priority!

“Melissa was an absolutely amazing dog sitter while my husband and I toured Nashville, TN!! Our dog, Bailey, loved staying with Melissa!!! We would highly recommend Melissa for any pet stays!!! Thanks so much Melissa, we think you are awesome!!”

About: HUGE yard! Over 1/2 acre fenced in! I've had dogs my entire adult life (20+ years at this point), currently have a great dane who's super chill with all dogs, cats, and children. The older photos above are of an old house I lived in, so ignore those. I'll make sure your dog or cat is comfortable and engaged. Let me know about any specific care your animal might need. I'm home most of the time, so your dog or cat will be in good company. I work from home, so I'm here most of the time! In fact, your dog will provide a useful distraction from staring at my computer. I can crate a dog if needed (I have a couple), separate them for feeding time, anything! Just name it and I can facilitate your dog's needs.

About: Dog is part of my family . Love , play , and enjoy . Pet dog is best friend . Animals lover ' s . I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays after 3pm. I have an apartment and I don't have pets, so your pet will be the only one pampered and will have all the attention for him.

About: I’m not sure what makes me better than other sitters. I just know that your dog will be in GREAT hands. You can trust me. I work from home so I can give your dog lots of attention. And my miniature poodle is very playful and friendly. If your dog needs frequent potty breaks I can handle it. I do not have a fence unfortunately. I take my dog out on a harness/leash for walks. Very dog friendly area. Nothing to worry about. My cat hangs out outside most of the day and gets along with other animals just fine.

About: I raised my dog from 8 weeks old. We are on a flexible schedule. Working from home means your dog will not stray beyond my supervision. I work remotely and can provide around the clock care and fun time! A nice deck out back for the pups to play and watch the golfers. I have a 6 year old lab that makes friends with all dogs, big and small. I work from home and my office faces the back yard to keep an eye on the dog if they want to go outside. I also have a 30 ft tether for them to run around.

“We were visiting Nashville and found Anand on Rover, booked one day to see how daycare worked for our pup and theirs. They were wonderful to Our boy Odin, so we booked a second day. When we pulled up outside Odin couldn’t wait to get out of the car and pulled my husband up to their door! Odin gives them two paws up. They have a lovely yard and dog gates to keep your dog from getting out. They let my spoiled 18 month out pup in the bed for a nap. So I can highly recommend Anand and his Mother for anyone who needs a dog sitter. This was a wonderful service for us as tourists in Nashville:)”

Jemishakumari & Douglas P.
“Jemisha is SO sweet, caring, and professional! She made the process comfortable, showed genuine affection towards Nala, and ensured all instructions are followed! Very clean home & beautiful large backyard for dogs to play. She sends updates, pictures, and videos showing us how much fun Nala was having without us! Honestly, she made us feel reassured as of course the nervousness is at an all time high!”

Thomas B.
“Thomas has watched my dog, Cedar, on a number of occasions and has taken excellent care of him every time. His competence and knowledge with handling special medical needs particularly impresses me. Cedar has Chronic Superficial Keratitis, which requires a daily treatment regimen including multiple time-separated doses of Dexamethasone and Cyclosporin eye drops in each eye every day, which can of course be difficult to administer. However, Thomas has proven to be an expert at managing his care. Cedar must have a great time when he's there too, because he almost seems reluctant to leave when I come to pick him up. I always rest easy knowing that he is in great hands with Thomas, and that I will come home to a happy, healthy dog.”

Ian D.
“Ian is great with dogs! I've left my pup with him several times and she always comes home happy. His wife Jessica is really nice too, and their dog Moshi is friendly and well-trained, and gets along well with Petunia. Their apartment isn't that large, but there's a balcony that the dogs can hang out on, and Ian always sends photos of Petunia out hiking. They are very responsive to messages and have been accommodating with pickup and drop off times. Overall, great dog sitter!”

Vincent J.

“Vincent took really good care of my fur babies! I will definitely use him again!”
