About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’d walk neighbours dogs growing up which gave me a strong understanding of their different personalities, needs and behaviours from an early age. In addition I’ve spend 5 years caring for exotic animals which has taught me patience, attention to detail and confidence handling a variety of temperaments. I am a proud Cavapoo owner which has deepened my understanding of daily routines, training consistency, exercise needs and the importance of trust and companionship. As a dog walker, I bring reliability, compassion and genuine enthusiasm to every walk. Whether your pup loves energetic adventures or prefers a steady, relaxed stroll, I tailor each walk to suit their individual needs. Your dog’s safety, happiness, and wellbeing are always my top priority, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I work full time, but I make dog care a priority in my daily routine. I’m available mornings and evenings during the week for walks, feeding, playtime and lots of love and attention. I also have the flexibility to WFH throughout the week when needed, which can absolutely be discussed prior to booking. On weekends I’m fully flexible and happy to dedicate extra time for longer walks, outings, cuddles or special care routines. Your dog’s comfort, happiness and consistency are always my top priority and I’m committed to providing a safe loving environment. I’m lucky to have a good sized garden that is fully gated and securely fenced, providing a safe space for dog’s to enjoy fresh air and outdoor time. It’s perfect for supervised play, short exercise sessions, or simply relaxing in the sunshine. Safety is always my priority so dogs are never left unattended outside and I make sure the space stays clean and secure at all times.

About: Hullo! Sophie here, I'm 44 and currently based in Trewoon, near St Austell, and i work in Truro. I'm really enjoying all these experiences on Rover and THS, and I've fair experience elsewhere, just some of which is listed below: - THS pet- and house-sitter, 2025 - to date - I am building up my experience here, looking after dogs, cats and fish so far. In terms of special needs/breed considerations I have cared for senile cats, a large rescue dog reactive to fireworks, a retired racing greyhound, a miniature Dachshund, a large Lab/Staffie mix and a large German Shepherd (35kg). These are just the most recent dogs I have cared for. - Volunteer at Animal Army, Thailand, 2024 (approx. 40 dogs) - administered oral and topical medications to injured and sometimes traumatised dogs, administered ear powders, washed dogs, cared for elderly dogs, blind dogs and physically disabled dogs/amputees including putting dogs into 'wheelchairs' and walking locally. I would also clean kennels, wash and disinfect bowls and play with boisterous puppies. There were also four cats who I played with; - Dog-boarder and walker for Romanian rescue mixed breed ~2019; she suffered from motion sickness; - Dog-walker for the Cinnamon Trust ~ 2019; walked dogs for the homebound; - Dog-walker for 'doggy day care' in London ~2011-2012; walked dogs in Hyde Park on my lunchbreak. One terrier was muzzled due to aggressive tendencies towards other dogs but luckily I never had any issues with him, other than he could never decide where to do his pees n poos!; - Dog boarder for terrier and mixed breed medium size ~2011-2012; occasional/for friends; - Growing up; horse-grooming/mucking out at local stable, we kept a dozen hens in the 80s, family Labradors, cats, one hamster.....! - Informal; occasional house-sitting only (ie, for friends with no pets). I have recently been DBS-checked (can provide my DBS certificate upon request) and have full driver's licence. Pet care will obviously consist of walks, plays, cuddles or just quiet time if your pet prefers. I'm sure you'll tell me any special requirements so that our sit-time is well-spent and your pets are kept happy. I attend my office in Truro on different days each week and I normally live in Trewoon. My availability varies depending on the day of the week and the service you require so it's always worth enquiring. I have a smoke-free, child-free, detached cottage with secure six-foot fenced rear garden. North of my property are traffic-free rural walks surrounding the Gover Valley. Feel free to direct me to your pet's favourite toys or an old shirt of yours or similar in case they find it comforting in your absence. I will assume an 'on leash' policy unless you specify otherwise. Will remove any choking hazards or non-edibles. I try to tread lightly during pet sits, behave with humility and respect, continue my learning journey, and disrupt any routine as little as possible. Please ensure any leads or harnesses are fit for purpose. If you're dropping off your pet with me please provide at least their food, feeding schedule and poo bags.

About: I am a designer who works from home, after always having dogs I miss their company a lot. Instead of getting a dog I decided to host dogs in my house. I live in a cottage in St Austell, tucked away in a quiet part of this seaside town. I have a lovely big garden with sunshine and shade where they can play or potter about. The cottage is cool and quiet and has everything a doggy would need. Your dog will never be left alone as I work here too. I only take one dog at a time or dogs from the same household so they will have a really personal experience that will be tailored to them and their needs. There is a wealth of glorious beaches and river trails only minutes away for playtime, walks and relaxing. I try and make every day like a doggy holiday even if they are only staying a short time. I have owned dogs myself as well as having grown up with one always in the household. I had my last dog from a puppy and fully trained him, we did agility classes together too. I have also owned a rescue dog in the past who I worked closely with a trainer for to understand his body language and his needs so I do have experience with dog behaviour. I work from home during the week so your dog will have lots of 1:1 attention as I need to take regular breaks away from the screen. I always walk in the morning, lunchtime and the end of the day as a way to get outdoors and it’s such a treat to do that alongside a doggy friend. I can offer a pet free, smoke free house with a fenced in garden. Please do bring anything your dog likes along to make them comfortable, maybe a bed and some favourite toys for playtime

About: I have looked after senior dogs with life limiting illnesses and anxiety over the years. I focus on maintaining calm environments for anxious dogs and psychological stimulation. Hi there! I am Michelle (Chelle) , a dog-loving person who treats every pup like family. Whether your furry friend loves long walks, belly rubs, or just snoozing in a sunny spot, I am here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. I have several years of experience with rescues and often look after friends and family's dogs. I do work Part-time in a hybrid community role, so i have flexibility to ensure your pup is given quality care. This also givies me lots of time to share a little extra love to your pup! My wife is home evenings and weekends.

About: My husband and I have housesitted on another platform for 2+ years in the UK, US, Germany and Japan. Meeting and caring for the animals is always our favourite part about the trip and would love to continue. I’m currently self-employed and working remotely on my masters degree. I am available to dedicate as much time as needed to your beloved pet(s) to make them feel at ease and comfortable. I do not offer pet care in my own home as I believe this creates a barrier between them and me. I want to feel like they trust me. I follow routines set by owners and try to make their routine as normal as possible. If they are happy with you they are happy with me.

About: I have taken care dogs since I was 14, training guide dogs, including the family dog and voluntary work which led to paid work for walking neighbours dogs and at a dog kennel walking dogs and cleaning kennels. I have been dogsitting on and off for 16 years and rescued 3 dogs. I have done more regular sits since a friend from church asked me to dog sit, then I used Trustedhousitters as a sitter for 3 years and have done 12 different successful sits of which a few have been asked back, so I also know how to take care of people’s homes and multiple pets in the home. Your dogs will be happy with me and treated like family, they will have play time and rest time and I always stick to the rules that you have set for them and their meal times including what they eat. I would never feed your dog human food or over treat them or punish them. If I am sitting I would take them out for a walk in the local areas up to 3 times a day but they will have plenty of toilet breaks. If I am only walking your dog, I will keep them on the lead and go for as much time as they need. Your dog will be in safe hands with me. I am an at home full-time student, I start my last year in October and finish in May 2027. I will have time to go for dog walks anytime as I can pick my days and times to study. I cannot bring pets into my home currently as my 2 cats are the proud owners but I can meet you for a pick up or take care of a dog at your home

About: Hi, I'm Bella. I have always loved dogs especially sight hounds and previously owned a whippet called Poppy. I enjoy nothing better than taking a dog for a long walk on the beach or through the woods, seeing them enjoying themselves and being sleepy and relaxed after a good run. I have previously looked after greyhounds, sausage dogs, Italian Greyhounds, Whippets, an Irish Wolfhound cross, Frenchie, Labrador Siberian Husky’s, Cockapoos and Cavapoos and understand all dogs and breeds have different needs & requirements to feel happy, safe, secure and loved. I love getting to know their individual personalities and understand that pets are like members of the family and treat them as I would my own dog with love, care and affection when in my care. I am able to keep pets company all day ensuring they get plenty of walks, toilet breaks and are well fed. If dogs are nervous or uncomfortable around other dogs I ensure that they are cared for one individual dog at a time. I ensure dogs are on leads unless I have guidance from their owner that they have good recall and are happy for them to be take off lead only in safe places. I can offer in home care in peoples homes or my own which has a large garden.

About: I have an enhanced DBS check and have looked after dogs and cats for neighbours and friends for over 10 years at home and during university. We have had dogs and cats for many years in the family home so am experienced in mixed pet households and love both cats and dogs. I’m currently setting up my own practice in Chiropractic and Sports Massage in Porthtowan and am looking for part time work to go alongside it looking after dogs and cats! It was my part time job when I was studying in Wales and have loved it so much I want to carry it on alongside normal work! Ensuring the garden is enclosed for example closed gate, but they also still have access to outside. Providing them spaces to relax and feel safe in your home.
