“Lily has had another great day with Savannah and Sarge. A long hike at Walla Crag overlooking Derwentwater which she enjoyed. She adores them both, which is clearly evident from the photos and videos shared along with the interactions, cuddles and fuss between them and Lily. Looking forward to her first overnight stays soon. Thanks Simon and Tina”

“Apollo had a great time staying with Jane for the day! It was also very reassuring how much she communicated with me, given how long it had been since I last popped Apollo in daycare. I felt very relaxed knowing she was looking after him. Thank you Jane, Apollo was snoring the whole way home! 🤩”

About: My husband Malcolm and I are both animal lovers and people persons. We have experience with different breeds of dogs as well as cats and other animals. We have a genuine passion for what we do and will treat your pet as if he/she were our own with cuddles, exercise, care, and attention. Growing up, we have always been around animals. Pets we have experience in looking after, including our own are; dogs and cats. We have a Border Collie (Milo), and he's deaf. I got him from a farmer and didn't know. Took him to the vet, which they confirmed, and with some help from researching online, we hand-trained him ourselves. We love to cuddle on the sofa together and go for walks 😀 Please don't hesitate to ask me any further questions :-) I'm currently working part-time and my husband is retired, so we'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! We're available for boarding on weekends and weekdays. We have a fenced safe yard and one friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. We can easily crate your dog if needed and requested.

About: I use to volunteer at dog rescue for 5 years, I also took dogs into my home until re-homed. I live in a small village surrounded by hills and fells where I walk regular. I have no pets of my own as I work offshore on a 3 week on 3off rotation. If your dog is older an just wants to chill out on the couch or if it's a hot day just relax in the paddling pool Working on a 3weeks on 3weeks off rotation I have loads of spare time do care for dogs. I enjoy taking off and doing long walks in the lake district. I tend to be home alot and if the need to go out the dogs will just come along for the ride I live in a 5 bedroom house, have a medium size garden with a wall round the perimeter, also a patio area round the other side with 7ft fence all around. I live in a small village surrounded by fells and hills

“Sam could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Our dog just trotted into the house with her and didn’t look back. We would definitely leave our little dog with her again if in the area, and highly recommend her.”

“Kieran and his girlfriend were the perfect dog day carers, couldn’t ask for more. Great communication before and during our dog’s stay, picture updates, very warm and welcoming, professional, friendly, flexible. Perfect set-up at their house on a quiet lane, enclosed garden, lots of open countryside all around. Ideal and will be keeping them in mind if we need a doggie day-care in the area again. 5 stars, perfect.”

“Amazing, couldn’t have asked for better caring people to look after my dog Margo. They went above and beyond taking her out on day trips, treating her like part of their family and also providing photos while I was away. I will be booking with them again!! I would highly recommend and I already have!!”

“Millie had a great time with Alexandra - she definitely loves dogs and Millie loved her. Great communication and perfect location :). Will definitely be using again. Thank you!”

“Fantastic Doggy Day Care. Steven kept me up to date with pics and what they were up to through the day! I was really grateful for that. Very dog friendly environment. Will definitely return on my next visit to Cumbria. Thanks Steven & the boys!”

About: I have cared for animals from the age of 11, when my parents set up boarding kennels, I lived and breathed the company of the dogs we cared for. As well as many years experience working at the kennels, I am always first choice for friends and family who need pet care or walks whether they are at work, going on holiday or just too busy that particular day. They all know I prefer animals over humans and don’t take it personally! I’m currently taking a break from work and can look after your fur babies every day and overnight if required, either at my home or theirs. I am available for walks every day or even just company and belly rubs if that’s all your baby needs. I have a private fenced garden and your pets will be in the safest hands. I have a 3 year old Labrador who could be great company for your fur baby, Willow loves to swim at any opportunity and run in the fields, rain or shine, day or night and sometimes all day!

About: I grew up with dogs in the house and carried that into my marriage and family life. I enjoy training larger breeds and exercising them. I currently work part time and mostly from home. My wife is retired so we are flexible for dog care and exercise. With two dogs of our own it’s always a busy schedule. We live in a large family farm house with access to an acre of fenced garden and 20 acres of fields and wood for dog fun.

About: I have two very cute cocker spaniels called Fern and Bessie who are 3 and 4. They both love other doggies! I work from home most days of the week so am around to look after your dog most days. We walk three times a day. A short one in the morning, half an hour at lunch and then an hour after work usually in the woods or up a mountain! We live in the centre of Windermere so have access to so many beautiful dog walks I work from home most days of the week (2 days in the office sporadically). I joke that I have a second full time job as a dog mum! I have a small garden for the dogs to do their wees and poos but we mostly take them out for lots of fun walks

“Jazmin was great and will definitely be looking to book her again. It was our first time leaving our 5 month old pup Cooper and she was great. Sent loads of photos and he looked to be having a great time, think he was a bit disappointed when I brought him home. Really friendly, met up beforehand just to get a feel, delighted she was happy to look after him as he has that typical puppy energy at the moment. Thanks again!”

About: My website highlights stories of the dogs I’ve taken care of at Windermere Dog Sitting and I can provide documentation for home boarding licence, DBS check and professional pet business insurance. I work part time as an online nutritionist so I have plenty of time to take care of dogs too. We usually go out for 2-3 nature walks a day. I have a secure garden and plenty of toys, fluffy bedding and a very clean and tidy home. Amber (my young cockapoo) is the only other being in my household.
