Linzi as always does a fantastic job. The cats really take to her and she shows she has a such a nice nature with them. As always brings in any parcels left and even covered our outdoor furniture which had blown off. Always feel happy that they are looked after.

About: Growing up I have always had pets, dogs and cats. Breeds we have had include springer spaniels, jack russell terriers, border collies, german shepherds and yorkshire terriers. As an adult I have had 2 hungarian vizslas with a previous partner so I am well versed in active breeds. I had my vizslas from puppies so I have experience of those demands and training them. I now only have one of those vizslas, nearly 2 year old Finn so any requests will need to bear this in mind. He is friendly with dogs and people but he is active and loves to play. I have a flexible job, it is 9-5 monday to friday but I can work from home when I want to, subject to appointments. I don't have fixed days or times at home but I can balance the care of my dog easily. I can return home after appointments which are normally only an hour or two so your pets won't be left long. I have a fully enclosed back garden with no public access to the back- I have a side passage with two locked doors leading to the back garden and the fences are 5ft and in good condition so your pets will be safe and secure. I can shut off access to different areas of the house as well if your pets need to be contained whilst alone. I am happy to use a crate if that's what you prefer.

About: I have grown up with dogs. My mum used to teach at a puppy school and with her guidance my family has cared for dogs of all ages. As I grew older I learned how to be more involved in caring for our dogs as I was occasionally in charge of walking, feeding and caring for them by myself and would assist my mother with vet visits and training aspects. To this day she remains someone I contact occasionally with questions when dog sitting and through her, I realized what an honor it is to be trusted with caring for someone's pet. Since starting university, I have been able to work as a dog sitter through Rover and looked after various pets, either for short-times when their families went to work or for longer periods when they went on holiday. I am student, which gives me some flexibility when it comes to my weekday schedule. Though I have to attend classes on campus throughout the week, I sometimes have a few hours free in between classes and tend to finish around noon on Wednesdays and Thursdays. No pet I would take care of would have to stay home alone for longer than a few hours and if you have any concerns, feel free to reach out, so I can let you know what my schedule looks like during the time you would need a sitter. On weekends, I can arrange to stay with your pet for the entirety of the visit. I live in student halls, which unfortunately, does not allow pets. Therefore, I am unable to accept bookings for dog boarding and daycare. However, I am more than happy to look after your pet at your place if you are comfortable with that or pick them up for a walk. Please understand I won't unleash your dog unless I have taken care of them for a while and only with your permission. I own a long leash that I have often connected to whatever leash is provided by the owner to maximize the freedom of your dog and there are also some fenced areas at a park nearby where I am comfortable letting dogs roam freely. Please discuss any needs of yours or your pet and I will do my best to accommodate them.

Fantastic dog sitter! Came in three times over 2 days as we were at family weddings . She took great care of the dogs. We received lots of lovely photographs and updates, which really put our minds at ease. The dogs looked very happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Reliable, professional, and clearly great with animals — we would definitely book again and highly recommend!

About: I have helped friends and family with their pets starting during the pandemic including, rabbits, cats and dogs and later on, even ducks, chickens and Alpacas! I am experienced in basic dog first aid, and i also have a car to take your pet to the very in any emergency too. I have a dog of my own and have been the main care giver, walker and trainer for her for the first two years, now she is a family dog and looked after by everyone! I love doing research on your dogs breads, but I would love to get to know them personally too! I do work 3 full days during the week, on Monday, Thursday and Friday. This means I cannot do drop in visits or dog walking on those days, but I can look after your pet overnight, which is shown in my calendar availability. I have 2 religious meetings, on a Wednesday evening and a Sunday for 2 hours. I would like to know the safety of your own home, which will help me understand what your pet will do in my own home, such as, is your dog allowed in the garden or to go up to the fences? Is your garden all fenced in? Has your dog ever escaped before? Is there any rooms in the house he/she is not allowed in? Or any furniture they aren’t allowed on? I want your pet to feel comfortable and not unsettled, does your pet get anxious when you leave the house at all?

When caring for pets in your home, I’ll follow their usual routines to help them feel safe and comfortable whether that’s feeding times, walks, playtime, or companionship. I’ll make sure fresh water is always available, give them lots of love and attention and send you regular updates so you know how they’re doing. About: I’ve been using borrow my doggy for the past 2 years and looked after a few dogs over that period. I tend to look after the same ones as I find it easier once a relationship is built with them and their owners. I’m super easy going and not precious about them getting on furniture or sleeping on my bed but am also respectful of what the owners rules at home are! I currently work full time, over 4 days a week, so would be available for evening walks/company or weekend sleepovers. I would love a dog of my own but cannot commit at the moment, so I find this the perfect way to get my fix Currently live at home with my parents, with a big gated garden. I’m very mindful of other people’s dogs in public spaces and am aware of signs when a dog may feel distressed. I’m also more than happy for them to get on the furniture and sleep on my bed if that’s what the owner allows:)

About: I have had a rescue dog for 13 years and another dog from a puppy for 2 years. They are both loved and cherished, and your pet would be treated exactly the same. I also have experience working with animals at animal charities for the last 11 years and looking after friends' dogs frequently too. I work part time 3 days a week so I have plenty of time to care for your pets. I am happy to have them in my home as long as they fit in with my pets and kids, or I can come to your home if preferred. I have a fully fenced back garden and a very easygoing labradoodle who would like to play if your dog wants to, but is happy to give space if your dog prefers. The other dog is very old and sleeps a lot! I am fit and active so happy to give long walks if wanted.

Would give 10 stars if I could. Bethia has been absolutely amazing, not least for prompt agreement during the busy festive period. It was a massive comfort to know that my precious cat was being fed and pet daily during a difficult time away. My boy is normally quite timid around new people but from the reassuring detailed reports and images received, Bethia clearly has a knack for putting pets at ease. If sitting is needed again in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to go straight to her services.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Carlisle pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carlisle choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
