Lari was soooo attentive and thoughtful! You could tell she loved on my sweet Ammo boy as if he was her own dog! She made sure his time was enriched with outings and walks and playtime… she was attentive to details in all aspects of his care and home sitting and was so respectful of my home! I will be using her again for sure!!!!

We just had Alyson pet/house sit for the first time and were very happy with her services. Our three dogs were well cared for and the household in order when we came back after a week away. Alyson was also fantastic about communicating with us. We’d definitely hire her again!

This is the first time I have used Rover because for many years we have had our friends available to us, until this trip. I found it to be a really easy process and without it, we never would have found Faith! I am so thankful! Faith is amazing! Our "boys" loved her right away! She followed my instructions, and was able to get one our dogs to do something we have a hard time doing ourselves! This demonstrated the trust he had in Faith immediately. If you are looking for a trustworthy, dependable, kind, and loving sitter for your fur babies in your home, then I highly recommend you hire Faith!! You will be very happy you did!

Briana did amazing. She went above and beyond for my pups. One had recent surgery for a CCL and weighs 60 pounds, and I was surprised to see her carrying up and down the stairs (3 flights) the entire weekend I was gone. Was not expecting that. Definitely would recommend and will be using her in the future!

Loved working with Kaylee. Our dog can be destructive when we’re gone and she spent lots of time loving on him. She sent pictures and texts so we could see how it was going. She asked questions if she needed more info on Joey’s routines. And she remembered to water the plants and bring in the mail and the garbage cans. Definitely recommend!

About: I've been providing reliable pet care for my mom's friend's dog for the past couple of years, giving me hands-on experience with daily feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic care, and making sure pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. In addition, I completed the Pre-Vet Tech Program at Tri-Tech Skills Center, where I gained experience caring for a variety of animals. Through the program, I learned proper animal handling, health and safety practices, basic animal care, and the importance of recognizing signs of stress or illness in different species. I'm patient, dependable, and genuinely love spending time with animals. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention they deserve. I'm available for walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I enjoy spending time with animals and can adapt my schedule to meet each pet's individual needs and routine. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal as possible. I follow the owner's instructions for feeding, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and potty breaks. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while also respecting their individual personalities and comfort levels. I also keep the home clean, ensure pets always have fresh water, and provide updates with photos and messages so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for while they're away.

About: Taken care of all types of animals including farm animals. I’m an avid animal walker as well. I’ve worked on a farm, I’m also trained with horses. I work a daytime, split shift so I am able to come back and forth to check on any animals I may be caring for. I offer both my home and services at a clients' home, however, I do prefer sitting at my clients’ homes as it often less stressful for the animal.

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a child, my mother and I had ran a rescue up until four years ago and even then we still took in animals to help Fuzzball animal rescue, I love taking care of animals and have my entire life from rescues to my own animals! I’m currently looking for a part time job so I have plenty of time to take care of your pups, and kitties. I enter college in the fall and know my schedule will still allow for me to take care of animals so if you are looking for maybe even a permanent dog walker, pet sitter or anything I am available! My house has always had animals, from cats, ferrets, Guinea pigs, turtles, chickens, cows, dogs, chinchillas, and at once our most amount of rescues we had was 104 Guinea pigs, and getting them adopted was my favorite part, to see them all go to loving homes.

About: Hi! I'm Dakota, and I've been around animals my entire life. From schnauzers and springer spaniels to Rottweilers and labs, I have experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I truly believe pets are family, and I love getting to know each animal's unique quirks and needs. I'm a dependable, punctual person who values honesty and communication. I understand that life happens and not everything is within our control. Whether schedules change unexpectedly or your pet needs a little extra patience and understanding, I'll always do my best to work with you and provide compassionate care. I have two energetic kids, a Russell Terrier, and a playful Labrador of my own, so caring for animals is simply part of my everyday life. I start each day with walks, feedings, potty breaks, and plenty of pet care, and I end my days the same way. Making sure pets feel safe, loved, and cared for is second nature to me. As a full-time online student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate drop-in visits, walks, and quality one-on-one attention for your furry family members. I have a small fenced backyard that's perfect for supervised playtime and games of fetch. I also prioritize safety by avoiding outdoor activities during extreme temperatures and always following your pet's feeding schedules and care routines. My goal is simple: to care for your pets the same way I care for my own.. with patience, kindness, consistency, and lots of love. I know how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your animals, and I would be honored to be that person for your family. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies! I have two rambunctious kids, a Russell Terrier, and a Labrador of my own, so I understand that life with pets can be both busy and rewarding. I'm currently a full-time online student, and aside from my regular household responsibilities, I have a very flexible schedule. Checking in on fur babies is easy to accommodate and truly one of my favorite parts of the day. I love providing pets with the attention, care, and companionship they deserve while giving their owners peace of mind. I have a small, fully fenced backyard that provides a safe space for supervised outdoor play and games of fetch. My Labrador is very playful and loves having a canine companion to run around with! While my yard isn't large, it's plenty of space for exercise, enrichment, and fun. Your pet's safety and routine are always my top priorities. I closely follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding schedules, potty breaks, medications, and outdoor time. Walks are also an important part of a dog's day, weather permitting, and I always check pavement temperatures to ensure it's safe for sensitive paws before heading out.

I had a great experience with this pet sitter. They stopped by twice a day to check on my cat and made sure she always had fresh food and water, along with a clean litter box. It gave me real peace of mind knowing my cat was well cared for while I was away. I was also sent daily photos as reassurance. When I returned home, everything was in great shape and my cat was happy and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend them and would gladly book again.

FAQs for House Sitting - Two Rivers

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 265 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Two Rivers. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Two Rivers walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Two Rivers maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Two Rivers choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Two Rivers. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
