“Christy was great with my dogs. She made me feel comfortable leaving them with her and she took them on multiple walks while I was out of town. I definitely recommend her for great care for your pets!”

About: I've worked with many breeds of dogs. Mostly small to mid-size dogs with a variety of traits. Mostly working dogs namely Blue Heelers & Huskys. I tend to live an active lifestyle and that means hiking/walking/and lots of exercise. Rest assured both me and your pooch will be getting a good workout! In the past I've facilitated overnight lodging for dogs, and temporary stays of up to a few days. Be noted I do not currently have a large open or fenced in yard. I work with neighbors and friends pets on quite a regular basis! I regularly feed, train, walk & care for pets when away or on business! I work from home so this environment provides a perfect spot for pets to be nurtured & played with consistently! I always check prior to booking any special exercise and or dietary needs of your pet. Ensuring door remain locked when inside and timer's are set for when pets receive food upon client preference. Safety is of the upmost priority, so I will discuss a full plan and schedule so you know where you pup is and his progress while away. I will send regular check in photos to provide accountability for myself and the clients well being.
“Jessica was great! Very communicative and went the extra mile with check out - started the dishwasher, took the trash cans out for pickup, picked up dog poop, and the house was super clean when we came back! The dogs were calm and we felt they did great with house sitting versus boarding them. Will 100% book again very soon! Thank you again, this was a great experience for us.”

“We had a fairly last minute request for Gabby and Kade to watch our pets for a few days. It can be hard to find house sitting for a large number of cats and dogs in our area and they came through for us. It was a short booking but both of them were super communicative and it was clear from the photos they sent and how the cats and dogs were relaxed when they came home that our pets loved Gabby and Kade's company. As an added bonus, they left the home cleaner than they found it. I'm super ecstatic that we came across such a great duo and am looking forward to future bookings with them as well!”

“Lina was great! Timely communication, great with our pets, flexible, and put my mind at ease while we traveled. We definitely plan to contact her again when we need house/pet sitting!”

“Aurora did a fantastic job while I was out of the country. She watched my house and my dog. She communicated often and sent me pictures so I could relax knowing my pup and home were in good hands.”
“Emilyanne was amazing. She took very good care of Sammi and sent lots of updates with pictures. The house was spotless when I came home. We will be using her again and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone.”

“Eva did a wonderful job house sitting and caring for our husky and calico. She was very friendly, polite, and cordial in person at our meet and greet and was available via phone/text during our absence for progress updates. We returned to our pets in good nature and our home just like we left it. I would not hesitate to book Eva again for house sitting/pet care! Thank you very much.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life, my friends trusted me to take care of their animals when they were going on trips. Recently I have started to train my own animals Currently I am looking for a job but pet care is in my everyday life, I have three dogs and two cats that I take care of I have a fenced-in yard that my dog love to play in, my cats are indoor-outdoor cats so they don’t go very far but I am able to take care of your fur baby whichever way you need me to
“Rose was very attentive and made sure she understood what all of our pets needed while we were away. She sent us updates and pictures to let us know all was okay, which is greatly appreciated. Our cats are usually super stressed when we get back from a trip, but this time they were so much calmer (and less mad at us for leaving them lol). We will definitely be using Rose again!”

About: My family has 2 dogs and 2 cats at home. This has familiarized me animals and what is needed to care for them. Growing up, I’ve spent a lot of time pet sitting and dog walking. I also volunteered at an animal shelter for several years and gained insight into how to care for special needs pets. I’m a recent college graduate that is working part-time at a flexible job. If I do work during the day, it is usually only for a few hours, so any pets would not need to be left alone for very long. I take the responsibility of looking after pets very seriously. I know how important fur babies are to a family, and I will look after yours as I would my own. Any dietary needs, and medical requirements will be followed and given as instructed by you.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my entire life and have always loved being around animals. My family has trusted me to care for their pets for weeks at a time, so I have plenty of experience with feeding, walking, playing with, and giving pets the attention they need. I also have a cat named Rick, who I absolutely love and have had for four years! :) I have experience caring for all kinds of cats and dogs, including Pit Bulls, Whippets, Dachshunds, and more. I’m comfortable with different breeds, sizes, and personalities, and I always make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. I am currently in school and working part time in Post Falls. I get out of school at 11:50 every day and only usually work on the weekends. I would pay lots of attention to your animal. Making sure they’re going out for the bathroom every hour and giving them lots of love and time.
“Great communication, updated us with photos, and left my house better than when they arrived. 10/10 I will be hiring Kat again, so if you need her only when I don’t 🤣 seriously fabulous!!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 714 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Twin Beaches. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Twin Beaches walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Twin Beaches maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Twin Beaches choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Twin Beaches. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
