“Selena was able to watch our fur babies on fairly short notice in our home. Our babies seemed to like her and they were in good spirits upon our return home. We would use Selena again!”

“I absolutely loved Emily for the i day I had her, unexpectedly I had a son come home from out of town working who had got into a disagreement with his girlfriend and had been drinking who just came by not knowing I was out of town to stay the evening and she understandably didn’t feel comfortable completing the contract and couldn’t iboard Lucy bc she has cats. Piecing together alternate drop ins for the remaining 3 days did not even compare to her and was very disappointed to not complete the contract as she was very efficient, kind, easy to work with sent pictures communicated exceptionally well and knew I had nothing to worry about and felt complete at peace and assured my dog was in the greatest of hands. In light of the unexpected situation she thankfully didn’t terminate me on Rover and effect my account standing and was understanding of the unexpected circumstances and understandably not feeling comfortable staying overnight. I’m new to Rover and she was my first experience and will say inspite of the early termination and lost payment the experience I did have with Emily made it a great. I would recommend if new to Rover setting up contingency plans and or making sure if situations arise unexpected drop in services are ok as alternative to in house so you don’t have to double pay for sitters. In light of it all Emily was very understanding communicated well and bc of how impressed I was with the communication and the 1 day of sitter care I bought her a gift back from my vacation as a thank you for the pictures and constant reassurance Lucy was in good hands. I had to meet up with her to give her some things that she left at the house and was gracious and understanding of the unexpected circumstance and apologized for not completing the contract and feeling comfortable with boarding staying or changing to drop in. Thankfully my sister and friend were able to come by once a day and it eased the extreme stress of not having a sitter and not even anticipating making back up plans but as I stated was a learning curve with utilizing the Rover app. I would use Rover again but just make sure to discuss contingency plans and flexibility in case of unexpected circumstances.. I would also recommend Emily highly she was a great sitter but just make sure to discuss contingency plans for unexpected events or have a back up plan.”

About: Struggling with your dog? Need help but don't have the time or money for traditional training? I'm here for you! I'm a biologist and experienced, science-based dog trainer who can care for and train your pet while you're away. I offer affordable and adaptable services, saving you money by combining your pet sitter, dog walker, and trainer into one person. Whether you prefer in-person or virtual training, we'll find the right fit for you. I've worked with all kinds of dogs and can handle a broad variety of issues and goals. Each pet is unique, and I enjoy understanding their learning style and communication. I provide top-notch care, ensuring your pets receive love and play even when you're not around. I offer feedback, tips, and games to enhance your role as a pet parent. Rest assured, I rely on scientific knowledge and can interpret your pet's behavior accurately. My dog training story: Four years ago I brought a big black smush home for a bath between adoption events. When I lay down for bed, he lay his head on my chest and I fell in love. As he came out of his shell, I found he had numerous behavioral issues stemming from trauma including severe separation anxiety, human reactivity, and general anxiety. I spent hundreds of hours pouring over veterinary journals, soaking up seminars, and dedicating myself to helping dogs and owners who have lost hope. Bruce, the black smush, has gone from having panic attacks when I touched a door knob to happily letting me go on a week long vacation. He makes friends with strange men, manages his own stress levels, and tackles new challenges with a joy and confidence we never thought he would experience. Every day, he’s a testament to what science based dog training can do. I’ve worked with dogs of every kind from pedigreed Golden Retrievers to backyard mutts and I’ve seen every issue in the book. Every pet is incredibly unique and one of my favorite parts of training is learning how each animal learns and communicates what they need. I'm here to make sure that even when you're gone, your pets are receiving the same level of love and play that they get from those who love them the most. Dogs are always either learning or unlearning, it’s my job to make sure it’s fun and improves your life long after I leave! Let me know what kind of care you're looking for and we can talk about what I can give you and your pets to make every long work day, vacation, or emergency absence a happy, fun experience. In addition to working your pets mind in fun, exciting ways, I can also let you know after our visit exactly what we did and give you tips and games to help you be the best pet parent you can be. Learning in small chunks like this makes progress accessible and sustainable. You can rest assured you’re getting scientifically sound information from someone who can read your pet's behavior to know exactly what they need. Before you know it, you’ll be the parent your pet always wanted you to be! In emergencies, I have extensive experience handling various medical situations. I've assisted with surgeries, supported births, and provided critical care. You can trust me to act swiftly and intelligently to give your pet the best possible chance. Additional Qualifications: BS in Biology with Honors from Texas State University 10% discount for foster pets Extensive experience in high level sports recovery and senior care Training from a Certified Equine and Canine Massage Therapist 13 years of experience in animal behavior, medical care, and farm management *Heat* I prioritize your pet's safety, especially in extreme temperatures. I manage heat stress, adjust activities and routes accordingly, and ensure access to water and breaks. I also take precautions to protect your pet's paws from hot surfaces. You may notice your pet's walks becoming shorter in the summer, this is so I can ensure they're safely cool before I leave and we can quickly return home if needed. Requesting bookings earlier is greatly appreciated and makes it more likely I’ll be able to fit you in. I can accommodate early morning and late night visits. I know just how important having a safe, quiet environment can be for dogs when something big changes. I constantly monitor their behavior and adapt to their needs in the moment!

Cecily B.
“Cecily has cared for my two dogs Jethro and Boone for over a year, and they are a handful with one being close to 95 pounds and the other being a grumpy pants most days. Cecily has been in the veterinarian care field for over 10 years so just her experience won us over but having the peace of mind that she has seen any kind of issue and pet was reassuring and kept my mind at ease. She came into our home with all the love and the boys fell in love with her from the moment they met her. She came into our home and immediately made a connection with them. She integrated our favorite play time of hiding toys and going on hide and seek adventures with the boys. She took them walks when most people would have been scared as they are not great on a leash but did it with complete confidence that she could control a large dog and a smaller grouchy boy. In the end the boys had an absolute blast everyday that they spent with cecily”

Kaitlin C.

“Kaitlin has been caring for my dogs for years now. Any time we’re out of town, work is busy, or we need help with a new puppy, she’s there for everything we need! Even just over a few days, our dogs are always better behaved after she’s petsat them than after months of training with me! You won’t regret booking her!”
