“Spent lots of time with my kitties was just what the doctor ordered! They are so needy and lovey and Rob gave them the attention they desired. They are also usually weary of men but not Rob, they were completely comfortable hanging out together.”

“We felt comfortable leaving our babies with Stephanie after the meet and greet. Stephanie communicates and sends pictures throughout the stay. It was great to see Jack and Mama kitty relaxed when we got home. Will definitely use Stephanie’s services again!”

“Robyn took great care of my two dogs and they had a wonderful weekend hanging with her at my home. Robyn’s dog also joined and was very friendly to my dogs, who can sometimes be wary of other dogs. I got lots of pictures and videos and was able to enjoy my weekend away knowing the dogs were getting lots of pets and snuggles!”

“Ariel was absolutely wonderful with my baby BubbieLoo! He requires medicine for his Epilepsy and she was great with meds and giving me lots of updates. Would highly recommend her!!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life and have provided pet sitting services for family and friends since 2020. As a lifelong dog owner, I understand the importance of maintaining routines, recognizing behavioral cues, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for every dog. I currently care for my own dog, Tessa, and have experience with dogs of varying ages, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. My hands-on experience includes caring for large and independent breeds such as German Shepherd/Akita mixes and Shiba Inus. Through regular pet sitting, I’ve become comfortable managing multi-dog households, administering feeding schedules, reinforcing established training routines, and providing enrichment through play, walks, and positive interactions. I’ve also lived with multiple dogs throughout college, giving me extensive experience adapting to different personalities, obedience levels, and exercise needs. I have experience supporting basic training, including house training, crate training, leash manners, and positive reinforcement techniques. Whether your dog is highly active, prefers a slower pace, or needs consistency with an existing routine, I strive to provide dependable care that helps pets feel secure while you’re away. Pet care is a regular part of my daily life. As a lifelong dog owner and experienced pet sitter, I’m used to planning my routine around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and companionship. I’m currently a student in a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program, which has strengthened my time management skills and attention to detail. I have clinical rotations on Mondays and Tuesdays and classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8–10 a.m., so I’m generally available most afternoons, evenings, Fridays, and many weekends with advance notice. I only accept bookings that fit comfortably within my schedule to ensure every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. I prioritize keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. In my clients’ homes, I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, medications, crate routines, and any training cues or household rules. Safety is always my top priority. I double-check doors, gates, leashes, and collars before going outside and make sure pets are supervised during playtime and interactions with other animals. I understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level, so I take time to build trust at their pace—whether they need extra playtime, a calm environment, or a little extra patience. As an MLT student, I’m detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to providing regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are safe and well cared for while they’re away.
“Eric did a house / dog sit at my home for about a week. He was an excellent communicator and gave me great updates on how my pup, Lucy, was doing. The house was in great shape when I returned and Lucy was clearly happy and well taken care of. Would highly recommend Eric for any rover needs. Thanks!”

“We went out of the country for about 10 days. We have two elderly dogs one of whom now requires extra special attention and care with his diet and feeding schedule. We feel very confident that our dogs were cared for the same or better than we could do ourselves. We came home to a very nicely got home, and our dogs were very happy to see us, but we're very calm and had clearly been cared for in our absence. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our pets. Thank you so much for the note taking that you did and for making our minds at ease while we were gone.”
“Felicia did a great job with our dog, Marti. She sent us lots of updates and it was clear she spent a lot of quality time and bonded with him. It was super easy to communicate with her. We will definitely use Felicia again and highly recommend her as a sitter!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and other animals for over 18 years, and it’s truly something I love doing. Throughout that time, I’ve had the opportunity to care for puppies, senior dogs, and every age and personality in between. From daily walks and feeding schedules to bathing, playtime, and overnight care, I’ve worked with dogs in a variety of settings and understand that each one has unique needs. I’m also a dog parent myself. My 8-year-old rescue pup has taught me so much about patience, trust, and helping a dog feel safe and loved. Supporting her as she healed from past trauma has deepened my understanding of animal behavior and reinforced my belief that every pet deserves compassionate and individualized care. Whether your pet needs a walk, companionship while you’re away, or someone to keep up with their daily routine, I will care for them with the same love that I give my own. I currently work full-time remotely in the Lebanon area, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and be available throughout the day for pet care needs. Whether your pet needs drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, or overnight care, I’m often able to accommodate a variety of schedules. I understand how important it is to have someone dependable caring for your pets while you’re away, and I strive to provide consistent, attentive care while keeping their routine as normal as possible. Feel free to reach out with your specific needs, and I’ll do my best to find a schedule that works for both of us. I strive to provide a safe, warm, and trustworthy environment where pets can feel at home. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to leave your furry family member with someone who will care for them as their own. My 8-year-old rescue pup helps make our home a welcoming place for visiting dogs. Whether they want to play, explore, lounge on the couch, or simply enjoy the company of another dog, she’s great at meeting them where they are. Together, we create an environment where dogs can feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away.

“We have a lot of animals at our house (dogs, cats, chickens, tortoises) and Mercy did a great job meeting all of their needs. They also cleaned the house before leaving and sent regular pictures and updates while we were away. I have finally found the person that I will contact for all of our pet sitting needs!!”

“Kay is always fantastic with my dog, cat, and my home. She is very knowledgeable and makes sure my babies are taken care of. She always goes above and beyond even when there is a huge ice storm and the power goes out!! I highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was young. Growing up, my family always had at least one dog. Over the years I have dog sat for many friends and family. I currently have one family that I sit for fairly regularly. Additionally, I have two pups of my own: a pug, and a shih-poo. Additionally, I have experience in bathing and administering medication. I am currently off of work for the summer! I have been working in education; however, I am looking to go back to school, to further my education later this year. I plan to continue dog walking/sitting once I return to my studies. At home, I have a fenced in yard, where my dogs love to run around. I do not crate my own pets, but am able to crate any dogs that I am watching, as needed.
About: I have been taking care of dogs my whole life. Always loved them and gave them the best care possible when needed. I have walked, fed and groomed dogs to the specifications of other people. I wake up, take care of my animals first. I watch the dogs and listen when they tell me when they need something. I also play with them and give them plenty of love. I have a fenced yard and two very friendly dogs. I do have stand outside to make sure one of them doesnt get to my cats food. But I do stand out there until they are done and ready to go outside. I also play with them and feed them and give them plenty of love. I will do the same to any dog that comes through my door. I will give them the best care and love I can amd to the owners specifications.
“Maggie did an amazing job house/petsitting for a long weekend. My girls were obviously well-loved while I was away, and she even washed sheets and towels upon her departure. Highly recommend!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Tuckers Crossroads walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Tuckers Crossroads maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tuckers Crossroads choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
