“I was very happily with my baby Axls stay with James while I was out of town. He seemed to very happy and well taken care of when I picked him up. I received updates on Axl everyday which really put my mind at ease. I would definitely recommend James and his wife.”

“High praise for availability, punctuality, care, activities, plus tons of photos during his stay. Kaitlyn receives my highest recommendation. Max just made some “BFF - best friends forever. He will be back. Again and again.. TF”

“Emily and her family took great care of D-Rex and were very flexible. They sent us a lot of pictures and kept us updated. So glad we found them in such short notice and they were able to accommodate us.”

“Thank you Autumn for the excellent care you gave Charlie. Charlie had a fantastic time there. He came home very happy. I truly appreciated all of the communication we had with Autumn. We will definitely use Autumn in the future. If anyone is wondering, I am highly recommending Autumn. She gave individual attention to our dog Charlie. Charlie enjoyed playing with her son. Having him in Autumn's home was so much better than even the best kennel we have used elsewhere. I'm glad we found her.”

“Sophie had a great time with Alexis and Addy! I got pictures and updates from Alexis daily on how Sophie was doing which was such a relief for me. Sophie seemed very relaxed and at home during her stay and I will definitely book her again! Wag on?”

“Lacie is amazing! Our 2 year old Cockapoo Otis has been going to her house for the past 3+ months for both day care and overnight visits. Lacie is kind and very intuitive with animals. She provided Otis with a wonderful home environment while we were away. He absolutely loves playing with her son and her own friendly pets. Thank you Lacie for all the wonderful care you gave our pup!”

“I would give 10 stars if that was possible! Bear was in heaven with Caitlin and her family. He went on long walks every morning, went to the river, road in the car and chased chickens! I was actually concerned that he would not want to come home to us :) I cannot recommend her enough- especially if you have a golden! We will be using her again.”

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I am a trustworthy retired RN who is looking to spoil your dogs while you are away. I am a non-smoker and very active with walking/hikes and pickleball. I am retired now for 5 years and spend my day actively with hike/bikes/pickleball to name a few activities. I am available most days with proper notice. I do not have a fenced yard but do have a 7-year-old dog named Dori who gets her exercise walking daily. If you pup likes fenced in yards caring for your dog would be better at your home.
“Sharon was amazing to help us when we were in need of someone to board our dog. She took him in last minute, loved on him, and went above and beyond for our boy! We are so thankful for her attentiveness and care. We will be booking with Sharon again!”

“Mini had a great time staying with Mary! She has the best setup for dog-sitting! I highly recommend Mary and would definitely use her again if we are ever back in the area! Thank you, Mary!! We appreciate you!”

“Ann is one of the nicest Rover sitters we have ever used. Our senior dog has some anxiety, and Ann was so wonderful, and patient, with him. She reached out with updates and questions to ensure she was able to do all she could to make him comfortable and feel more at home with her and her family. We are grateful for all of her help and support and highly recommend Ann.”

“Amanda did a wonderful job with our pup Sasha, who was quite anxious and had some separation anxiety. She was able to make Sasha feel at home and went above and beyond to keep her happy ?”

“Pamela was just what we needed for our senior lab. She provided wonderful care for over night boarding. We received frequent communication and the whole process was very smooth. Our pup enjoyed her stay and we would gladly use Pamela again”

“I would definitely leave my pup with Ashley again, in fact, I'm so glad I have someone I can count on to take care of my dog when needed. Asha was a bit reluctant to be in a new space with new people (as she always is), but Ashley went above and beyond to help Asha feel safe and comfortable. Thank you, Ashley!”

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
