“I would give 10 stars if that was possible! Bear was in heaven with Caitlin and her family. He went on long walks every morning, went to the river, road in the car and chased chickens! I was actually concerned that he would not want to come home to us :) I cannot recommend her enough- especially if you have a golden! We will be using her again.”

“Alexis did a great job watching my dog Elroy for 3.5 days while we were away. She sent us updates and photos and let us know how he was getting along with the other dogs she was watching. About: I’ve cared for animals in a wide range of environments, from farms on the Big Island of Hawaii to horses in Appalachia and North Florida. Over the years, I’ve helped care for dogs, cats, horses, and farm animals, (including caring for more than 30 pets in the Asheville area in one summer alone!) I’m dependable, grounded, and comfortable working independently. As a mother currently studying social work, I value calm communication, consistency, and creating a safe, relaxed environment for both pets and homes. I understand that every animal has different needs, personalities, and comfort levels, and I aim to provide attentive, trustworthy care that helps pets feel secure while their owners are away. I’m also happy to include plant watering and basic plant care during visits when needed. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’m local to the Lake Junaluska and Waynesville area and have a flexible schedule, especially during the summer while school is out. I’m able to dedicate consistent time and attention to walks, drop-ins, feeding routines, and companionship throughout the day. Because I live nearby, commuting is easy for me, which helps me stay reliable and responsive for clients. I enjoy creating calm, steady environments for animals and genuinely value the trust involved in caring for someone’s pets and home. I currently provide care in clients’ homes so pets can remain comfortable in the environment they already know and trust. I understand how important consistency, routine, and familiarity are for animals while their owners are away. I aim to maintain a calm, clean, and dependable environment by carefully following feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and household preferences. I’m respectful of clients’ homes, communicative throughout each stay, and attentive to both pet safety and home security. My goal is always to help pets feel relaxed, cared for, and emotionally at ease while giving owners peace of mind that their home and animals are in responsible hands!
“Daisy did a 2-night meet and greet stay in preparation for a long stay with Diane this fall. Diane has a large, completely fenced yard which is great. She texted me pictures during Daisy’s stay, and she seemed very tuned in to Daisy’s particular needs and wants. I am glad to have a good sitter lined up now.”

“Pamela is so great and so sweet with my Henry! We feel at ease knowing he’s comfortable and happy staying with her. Her home is clean and in a beautiful area, great for his walks. This was his second visit with her and I’m sure there will be more.”

“Amanda was wonderful! She was very kind and we felt very safe leaving D’Koda with her. We could tell she really loves animals. Her dog Chloe was the sweetest and cutest little baby. They both did there best to keep our dog who has separation anxiety distracted/entertained while we were gone. This was our first time using a dog sitter and Rover. We highly recommend Amanda and we will definitely contact her again next time we need a dog sitter in this area.”

“Savanah took incredible care of our old lab while we were on vacation. She made the whole process for us very simple and gave daily photo updates. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future.”

“Mary was so wonderful with my boys! They’re usually really nervous around new people, but she made them feel so comfortable and took really good care of them. Mary sent me regular pictures and updates which I really appreciated. They seemed to have a great time at her place and got along well with her sweet dogs.”

“Betsy kept our husky for 8 nights. She was very flexible about drop off and pick up times. Her children and other dogs were very good with our dog. She sent us pictures every day, and gave us updates about how he was doing. She walked him daily and even brushed him before sending him home! He stayed inside with them and was loved on by her kids, but he also got to go outside on a leash in their yard and on longer walks. For a social dog this was a very good homestay! She does a great job!”

“Tulsi loves Cassie! And so do I :) I’m sure if Smudge ever came out of hiding she would love her too! Lol I always miss my 2 cats when I am away. But Cassie keeps me close with lots of pictures and updates on each of them. Tulsi loves her playtime! Cassie is very entertaining and gets Tulsi to run thru her tunnel, chase her toy mouse and then gives her lots of love and scratches. I feel very comfortable having Cassie in my home and watching over my girls. This was her third visit and I will definitely use her excellent services again when needed. Thanks Cassie! Sienna A.”

“Debbie is the absolute best! We've been so anxious to leave our kitties when we're out of town and Debbie puts our mind 1000% at ease. She goes above and beyond with our sassy younger cat and older cat who needs medication. We feel so lucky to have found her!”

“Rebekkah did a wonderful job taking care of my kitties while I was away! She was very communicative and sent me great pics and accommodated my unexpected travel plan changes.”

“Erica is wonderful! Such a sweet spirit working with our animals. She’s punctual, thoughtful, and works with your needs. Will definitely continue to use her services for our fur babies. 🥰”

“I ended up needing a short-notice, “panic” cat check-in option from Rover before a 10-day trip. Lillie responded and communicated promptly. Her response saved my trip, She did a pre-trip visit to check out my 5 fuzzies, then dealt well with them for several food and water refill and social interaction visits. When I need cat sitting services again, I will be going back to Lillie.”
About: While I don’t have professional pet care experience yet, I’ve grown up around animals my whole life. I’ve helped care for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and more in my own home as well as for family. I’m comfortable feeding, walking, cleaning up after, and spending quality time with animals. I’m responsible, gentle, and treat every pet like family. As a Resident Assistant, I have a flexible yet busy schedule, but I always make time for pet care! I’m available most evenings and weekends for drop-ins, walks, or boarding. I don’t have pets at home, so your dog will get my full attention. I’m careful on walks, stick to safe routes, and always follow your care instructions.

“Ash took care of our animals before she was on Rover. Now that’s she’s growing her business we have booked and are happy with her care. Having a new pup we were stressed but she did great.”

“A few days before I was supposed to go up north to visit an old friend I began looking for a sitter on Rover.com. Not having used an online service before I didn't realize that I was trying to book at the "last minute." Johnna and Samuel graciously agreed to watch Gabi, my cat, with drop-in visits. Each day, true to their word, they sent me a photo and a written update of how Gabi was doing. I will unequivocally recommend Johanna and Samuel for their high level of care.”
“Kim and her daughter took excellent care of our sweet cat named Alice. They visited her daily, rain or shine. Alice is very social and loves attention. They gave her plenty of petting, freshen her bowls of water, refilled dry food, gave wet food, and treats. They also scooped her litter box daily. Alice was happy to have their attention and she was very well cared for during our 4 night absence. I highly recommend Kim as a pet sitter.”

“It has been such a pleasure getting to know Brinkley and having her watch my pets. She's an awesome, positive, and very responsible caregiver and I highly recommend her! Thank you Brinkley for going above and beyond to care for my home and animals.”

“Sol was wonderful taking care of my cat. Sol was very responsive and courteous, and it really seemed like my cat got a lot of attention and felt very loved. Will definitely rebook in the future!”

About: I have taken care of cats since adopting my own two cats at 8 years old. Since then, I have cared for senior kitties, young kittens, and cats in need of various medications. I am comfortable caring for cats with highly specialized care. I understand that many cats can experience stress while their owners are away so I go above and beyond to ensure that they are well cared for.

About: I have been taking care of cats every sense I was a kid. Pet sitting has been a side job for me for many years. Family, friends and neighbors have relied on me for proper animal care :)

About: I’ve owned cats my whole life and have done everything from bottle feeding kittens, helping administer vaccines, as well as scooping litter every single day. For many years me and my family fostered cats through Purr Partners and we took care of kittens as well as many spicy kitties. Additionally, throughout highschool I volunteered at SafeHaven for cats and visited their facility every weekend to help clean up cages, scoop litter, as well as play with any cats that needed socializing. Currently we own 10, some of which we adopted while fostering and a few of which we rescued ourselves. Overall, my cats bring me joy and I’d love to take care of other cats as well!

“Kaitlyn is a wonderful dog sitter. She sent pictures that showed Abby in various activities throughout the day. It was obvious that Abby enjoyed her time with Kaitlyn, her dog and daughter. She was extremely flexible on the drop-off and pick-up times. This was our first time to use her and she will be our first choice in future bookings. Thank you, Kaitlyn!!”

About: I bring a lifetime of hands, on experience and a naturally calm presence. I’ve cared for dogs and cats at every stage of life, from puppies and kittens to seniors, starting with volunteering at a veterinary hospital at age 12. I’m especially good at reading animals and helping them feel at ease in a new environment. I work from home, and pet care is part of my everyday routine. Being around animals, caring for them, and paying attention to their needs is second nature to me. The best part of my day is dog walks and cuddles. I focus on helping pets feel comfortable and secure. I stick closely to what they’re familiar with and take my cues from the animal. 💛

Caring for pets isn’t just something i do, it’s part of my daily life. I treat every animal like part of our family and always go the extra mile to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Whether it’s playtime in the yard, a relaxing walk, or just quiet companionship, we’re tuned in to each pet’s unique personality and Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine! I take time to learn their unique preferences and adjust my care to match what makes them happiest. Your pet’s well-being is always my priority, and I treat every animal in my home like family.

About: Hi! We’re an animal-loving family with room to roam and a whole lot of heart. We share our home with three wonderful dogs (a Pointer, a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix, and an Australian Shepherd) all 7 years and older, plus our cat, Potato. We’re very comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and species under one roof. Our dogs are mature, well-socialized, and help create a calm, balanced pack environment. We live on 2 acres with a securely fenced quarter-acre for safe, supervised outdoor play. There’s plenty of space for sniffing, structured exercise, and relaxing in the fresh air. My wife and I are almost always home, so your pet will receive consistent supervision, attention, and affection. We also have a sweet baby, Cooper, who is growing up learning to gently and respectfully love animals. Our home is calm, structured, and family-oriented. In addition to boarding, we also offer drop-in visits for pets who are happiest staying in their own home. Whether your pet needs potty breaks, feeding, walks, medication, or just some companionship and playtime, we’re happy to help. I’m currently a stay at home parent so my schedule is wide open for both days and nights to take on boarding or do visits to other homes. My home has a large fenced area where our three dogs can roam and exercise. I am very reliable and respectful when it comes to entering others’ homes while taking care of their pets.

About: I had two dogs growing up and one of the hardest parts of my life so far was both of them passing away. I loved them so much and I want to be able to give my love and care to other animals! I would love to go on walks/ play/ and take care of your animal as if they were my own. I feel there is a hole in me and it can be filled with taking care of animals. I know that may sound cheezy but I am an avid animal lover. Being able to take care of your animal would put a huge smile on my face ( and your) knowing they are healthy and happy in my care. I hope you choose me :) My schedule is pretty open and I am open to working with you to find a proper schedule to meet your needs! I am available for drop ins and overnight! I give lots of love and cuddle, watch them play, take them on walks, and of course feed them, and play with them. Administering medicine is also a skill I hold. Attentive to diets and specific needs such as needs for space, interactions with other animals etc..
About: I am a college student at WCU! And since I was a little girl I have cared for animals and my heart grows bigger for them each day! I understand it is scary leaving your baby in the hands of someone new but I am more than willing to prove myself that I am the best! I have volunteered at many animal shelters and have walked plenty of dogs (including my teachers) on campus! I am currently working part time, my schedule is very flexible. I can care for pets most mornings and evening, and several mid days a week! Every client is different, I understand you have certain rules for your babies and I am more than willing to listen to them! Need your baby to walk for 40 minutes? Let’s get our walk in! Need the little one in a crate when I leave? More than happy to!

About: Hello! I have been pet sitting professionally full-time for 6 years. I have fewer repeat customers shown on my Rover profile than some people here because clients usually choose to stop using Rover to save money and work independently with me. I work remotely and am pretty much always home; gardening and hanging with dogs ❤️. I have a half wrap porch with two steps to an enclosed grassy yard. I also go almost daily to the Women's Museum Park to walk my dog (and maybe yours too) where they have access to the river (if you approve, of course). Animals are family and will get copious amounts of doting attention. If they want to play with my dog, she is game! If they don't get along with other dogs there is plenty of separation options as well. I'm also perfectly content to come to you and sit your animals in their home environment. Through the years I've handled all sorts of "animal emergencies" with calm and collected care. I've loved a dog from her puppy days through her geriatric years with unending tenderness and welcome you to entrust your puppy-older dog to my care. Any special needs are no problem. I have administered injected medications. I have given pills successfully and regularly to a Houdini of a dog! If he/she needs it he/she will receive it. I am available evenings, weekends and holidays as well. I often take dogs from multiple households, but you can request no other dogs during your dog's stay. I have a grassy fenced side yard and a half wrap around sunning deck. I do not leave dogs unattended outside, but for the most part they can go in and out all day. I work from home. Occasionally I will need to be away for up to 5hrs at a time, but I will know my schedule when booking. I have a fenced in yard and a 40 lb female terrier mix. She has been dog sitting with me for 7 years now and is adaptable to other dogs' personalities. There is plenty of room for separation if needed as well.
“Lillie has been great working with our new dog Archie. She is very patient and gives great updates, which is very helpful when trying to figure out what behaviors we need to work on with him.”

About: My family’s pet care business has allowed me to spend the last 3 years learning the in’s and outs of the drop-in and dog walking business and as I transition to college I bring that knowledge to my own business and hope to be able to spoil your pets! Our home has often been an exotic barnyard and I’ve been fortunate enough to gain experience with all types of animals. Message me for a meet and greet and we can see if I would be a good fit! Senior pet and puppy/kitten experience- ✔️ Large Dog- ✔️ I’ll do it all! I’m currently preparing for college in August and then will be moving to Cullowhee, NC. During the summer I will be available all day everyday and will be back in Florence, SC every summer to work. during the school year I will be available around campus for dog walking and drop-in as well as it fits in my class schedule. I will not be doing daycare. Drop-in and dog walking only. I will have a leash and potty bags with me extra in case they are not owner provided.
About: I have been dog training for the past 5 years slowly growing my business. I love taking care of animals as it is my passion! Message me to learn more about me and my experience! My typical schedule is 8:30-4:30 with most of my availability in the mornings and evenings! This is the most accurate schedule for the 2026 year. I do not have a fenced in yard but I have a nice neighborhood where I can take your dog for plenty of walks and exercise.
“Bella was a wonderful, wonderful help while my mom was out of town for a family trip. She was so great with her dog, she was wonderful to communicate with, and we are so appreciative of her. She truly went above and beyond for our family.”

About: As someone who is hardworking and detail-oriented, I feel that I am up to the task of caring for all kinds of pets. From a young age I've worked with dogs, cats, small rodents, and even horses! Some even call me the "animal whisperer." Grooming, walking, playing, feeding, providing fresh water regularly, giving medication orally or with food, overnight stays, and cleaning up after animals are some of the tasks I've performed throughout my time caring for these beloved fur friends. I'm free every day of the week, preferably any time after 10 AM but also willing to negotiate times of care that fits both you and your pet's needs! I make sure to respect other's property and belongings when housesitting or petsitting for pet parents. Keeping spaces clean, tidy, and how I found it is something I find to be important when given the trust of others to be in their spaces. I'm always willing to learn and adapt to your pet's needs, environment, and behaviors.
About: I’ve owned both cats and dogs my whole life, and more recently I’ve owned chickens as well. Starting with cats, I’ve fed and cleaned up after the ones we’ve owned, as well as taken care of the cats and kittens we fostered over the years. I’ve bottle fed them, helped give vaccines, and everything else in between when it comes to raising and taking care of them. I have also helped pet sit many of our neighbors as well as friends cats over the years. We have also owned several dogs, and I have tons of experience with walking and feeding them. We currently own 3; 2 small dogs and 1 big dog, so I have learned how to take care of many sizes of dog. Like with cats, I’ve also walked and fed my neighbors dogs many times when they’ve gone out of town. Lastly, we’ve raised more chickens than I can count in the past 7ish years, and I’ve taken care of chicks we got from breeders, as well as chicks born from our own hens and roosters. All of our chickens free range and are egg layers, so I treat them like any other pet and not like livestock. I have experience feeding them, fending off hawks and other predators, putting them to bed every night, as well as animal-proofing the coops themselves. For almost my whole life, I’ve helped feed our cats and scooped their litter just about every day. I also walk and feed each of our dogs throughout the day. Finally, I feed and put up our chickens many times throughout each week. I follow any instructions my clients may have and can cater to their pets needs. I love on and treat others pets the same way I would with my own, and have done so for neighbors, family, friends, as well as many others.
About: Growing up, I had always been very involved in the care of our family pets which made my love for all animals so strong from a young age. I have two dogs, a cat, and 7 reptiles:) I have watched pets on many occasions for my family, the families I nannied for, family friends, and clients from Rover. I understand that each fur baby has their own personality and I am always respectful of their boundaries and excited to get along and play!! I am comfortable with any size, age, and type of pet. Happy to talk about a flat rate and can be very flexible! My current availability is around my class schedule. Class Schedule Mon:9:30-4 Tues: 12:30-5:30 Wed: Same as Mon Thurs: 12:30-2 Fri: 9:30-12 I would love to find a regular client whom I can dog walk/sit for on a regular basis but I am also interested in any short term dog care requests that you may have if comfortable with my schedule. I’m great at following instructions and will take care of your pup as if they were my own! I understand that each pet is different and will cater to the needs of each of your pets.

About: I’ve cared for pets my whole life—dogs of all sizes, cats, fish, guinea pigs, and more. I’ve also helped neighbors with their animals, handling walks, feeding, playtime, exercise, and bathing (as long as they’re comfortable!). I love giving pets attention, exercise, and care tailored to their needs. I do not have classes on the marked days so I am almost always able to drop in multiple times on your pet, which also means I have enough time to give them quality care! I am willing to give baths, feed, play, give pets, let them out on potty breaks, go on lengthy walks, clean litter boxes, etc. I am unable to do overnights or house pets.
About: I am a biology student at WCU focused on ecology, so I absolutely love animals. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats, but I also have experience with exotic animals. I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting for over 5 years, and it’s always been my favorite job! I work flexible part time jobs, so I am available both mornings and evenings, as well as weekends with notice! My current flexibility also allows for more daytime pet care, such as walks or check-ins. I have lots of experience with overnight pet care, and I know that trust is a big part of an animal feeling comfortable with a stranger in their space. I’m very calm and relaxed when I first meet an animal to give them space to come to me :)
About: I have owned dogs my entire life with many cats in between. I have had the pleasure of sitting dogs and cats all over the country, including house sits in California, Oregon, Washington, and now North Carolina. I have experience with young puppies, as well as elderly dogs with a plethora of health problems; I also have experience with big dogs like German shepherds, Australian shepherds, and Rottweilers, to teacup Pomeranians, spitz, and many more. I have been told I’m very high energy and fun, and the animals I have looked after always seem to pick up on that great energy and can’t wait to hang out. :) I sell vintage clothing, so being self employed allows me to better accommodate to all the needs of the animals. In our own home, our dog Endo is the King. He gets to enjoy long daily walks amidst the beauty of DuPont forest, swims in the lake behind our house, and nightly fresh cooked meals. My services on house sits include obviously feeding and general care of the animals, as well as promptly following specific dietary regimens and health requirements of every animal. I have cared for very old dogs that needed assistance in bowel movements as well as simple motivation for stubborn dogs that don’t like to walk. I have also looked after countless plants and hot tubs, ensuring proper watering and chlorination.
About: I always have loved pets! When I was growing up everyone around me wanted me to walk/care/ or watch their dog / pet Because they knew I would exceed their needs and more! I am also a mom of two under two so besides pets I also love kids! And all of my pets are kid and pet friendly:)! Thanks for looking at my page! Hope to see you and your furry pal soon :) I’m a very flexible individual! And I am always willing to adjust anything to fit your furry friends daily routine! Im always willing to go out of my way for any pet! :) I’m also a stay at home mom so my schedule is basically open anytime because I’m always home and available! I don’t have a fenced back yard, but I’m always monitoring any pets that are outside on leash. and it’s a very moderate household. We are usually doing something outdoorsy or going on some fun adventure! And we will always exceed your pets needs and adjust our household to just that while your pet stays. :)
“Sarah was great! Very kind and great communication. Loved seeing all the pictures she took of Enzo on his walk. He always looked so happy! Sad she’s leaving the state for a few months but definitely looking forward to working with her again when she returns.”

“Laura and her family took amazing care of Kiki! We loved the photos and the updates, and we could tell that Kiki had lots of love and companionship with Laura. It was particularly helpful to know that she has experience with loose leash walking. We would highly recommend Laura to anyone!”

I felt very comfortable leaving my baby with her and he came back tired and happy. I’ll definitely be returning next time I need someone.”
“Autumn has watched my boys even before she came to Rover and I still wouldn’t trust them with anyone. My boys love her and her kiddos. So I’m a repeat befor Rover and will be a lifer with Autumn💙💙”

“Sharon is a loving and considerate companion that kept our elderly dog Kuma happy and healthy while we were away. Her wonderful attention to his daily needs was outstanding. Kuma enjoyed every minute of the warm and loving care Sharon gave to him everyday. The pictures and videos showed how he loved Sharon and how happy he was. Sharon would be an excellent pet sitter for your pets and we would highly recommend her services.”

“Emily and her family took great care of D-Rex and were very flexible. They sent us a lot of pictures and kept us updated. So glad we found them in such short notice and they were able to accommodate us.”

“Tia is awesome! My pup’s first overnight and day camp went great. She sent lots of cute pics and the sweetest little write-up of how his stay went. I felt so comfortable leaving my little guy with her, especially after getting to meet the other dogs and seeing how calm and loving she was in her interactions with all of them. We are so grateful that our dog has a safe and nurturing place to socialize, play, and tire himself out! We will definitely be back and he can’t wait 😊”

“Carrie was amazing! She took such good care of our dog and was great with communication! We received photos everyday. She and her family treated our pup like part of their family and she came home happy & healthy! We highly recommend Carrie and will definitely book with her again!”

“Maria was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable leaving my sweet Joey overnight. Great communication and updates with photos throughout his stay. I would recommend Maria to care for your best friends and will definitely be back! Joey can be a handful and Maria made me feel that he was so welcome! Thank you!!”
