About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and was lucky to spend 18 years with my Boston Terrier, Mayflower, who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. She and Piccolo were the best of friends, and raising them together has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I’ve worked with many long term clients, caring for their dogs from puppyhood through adulthood. I currently work from home while finishing my graduate internship at Columbia, so I have plenty of time and flexibility to give pups lots of attention. My husband always joins me for visits and meet and greets. If that’s not something you’re comfortable with, I may not be the right sitter for you. We love showing up as a team to provide safe, loving, and consistent care. When I’m not dog sitting, I love hiking, backpacking, and camping, and Piccolo often comes along for the adventure. Dogs are my family, and I can’t wait to meet yours! I currently work as an intern from home as a student, which gives me plenty of flexibility in my schedule and lots of extra time for cuddles, playtime, and long walks. My husband and I always join visits together to ensure pets receive consistent, loving, round-the-clock care. We live on 2 acres with a big fully fenced backyard, which means endless zoomies, playtime, and safe outdoor fun for your pup! Piccolo is wary of people, but loves having new dog friends.

About: I’ve always been a dog person all my life. I just have a way with dogs. Patience is the best way to try your animals. Family members rely on me to feed their animals. Currently working at a grocery store so my hours are always different. When I finish working though I head straight over to where I need to go. Sometimes I head over before I have to work too. I take the animals outside when they need to go to the bathroom. While I’m out there I watch carefully over them. I comfort and pay attention to them. I talk to them like they are humans.

About: I’ve taken care of many friend’s cats and dogs. I spend quality time with them, feed them, refill their waters, and tidy their space. I currently have one perfect cat who likes to sleep on my head and I had two ferrets for 7+ years with one needing medication every 12 hours. I feel deeply connected to animals and always treat them with respect and kindness. I am currently only available on Thursdays for full time care, though I may be able to do drop ins at night throughout the week. When I cat sit I always change their water, fill their dishes, scoop the litter, and sweep excess food/litter. I give wet food (and treats if allowed) and fully clean the dishes after. I then spend quality time playing with and/or petting them as they please. For dogs, I will do all the same things as well as walk them outside for whatever amount of time is best for them to get the exercise they want and need and to go to the bathroom (will always pick up the poop).

About: I have an 4 year old pup named Archie. We have taken several training classes together, such as Beginner 1 and 2, Fit Dog, and Canine Good Citizen. He is now a Therapy Dog through Cornell Companions. I love dogs and Archie gets along with every dog he meets! I am a teacher, but I live very close to work. I work full time during the school year but I live close to work. My work day is roughly 8:30-4 Monday-Friday. I have an opportunity to come home and check on the dog in the middle of the day. Archie comes in the car with me wherever I go, so your pup would be welcome also (if they enjoy rides). I can easily crate your dog if needed. I live in a studio apartment, so I will always have eyes on your dog but there is also space for them to relax. Dogs are allowed on the furniture with blankets. I typically leash my dog whenever he has to go potty and we go for a walk.

I’ve been the go-to sitter in my neighborhood for the past several years, providing boarding, overnight care, and potty breaks. With only a few classes per day and access to a car, I am available to check on your pets several times throughout the day and provide overnight care every weekday. During the day, I will be able to provide long walks, frequent playtimes, and transport to the dog park or any other fenced in areas, if that’s what your pet likes most.

About: Just a quick note- I created a Rover profile a few years back but then I got so busy with my massage practice that I didn't have the time to take any jobs, and this is why I don't currently have a job history on this particular site. I did however, care for my daughter's two dogs plus my own dog and cat while she was away doing her internship in the summer of 24. I adopted one of her dogs because she moved to NYC but frequently still dog sit for her- schedule permitting. Many times, I also dog sit for family and friends and now would like to do this professionally because I love animals so much. There has never been a time that I've been without pets! In fact, there was a point when my family had 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rats, 2 frogs and 1 goldfish. In addition to the pets previously mentioned I have also shared a home with birds, snakes, lizards, hamsters, gerbils, and rabbits. While I am a lover of most animals, I especially adore caring for dogs, cats and rats. I also have experience with giving medication orally (droppers and such), as I've nursed quite a few older and dying pets. I am very active and love to walk and walk and walk which is exactly what your dog will likely enjoy when they are with me! I recognize how hard it is to have pets and still have a bit of freedom to work long hours as needed and to take the occasional vacation. I have hired pet sitters in the past and realize that it's important to have a solid connection with your provider and really feel you can trust the person who will care for your babies.
