“We were a little unsure about having someone come stay with our dogs, but Mykala was definitely the answer to prayers. Our concern was completely gone upon meeting her and our dogs loved her. She was so attentive to them and of course they loved that. She always kept us up to date with what was going on and she sent us pictures, which showed us how content and happy they were. We definitely will be taking more trips knowing Mykala will be keeping Bandit and Lindy company.”

“Lindsey watched our dogs Friday night and all day Saturday for drop in visits. She didn't just let them out potty and leave quickly. She actually stayed and played with them, gave them treats, and spent time with them outside even during the rain. I highly recommend her and we will be using her again soon! Thank you for taking great care of our dogs!”

“Vanya was beyond amazing while staying at our house and watching our dog and two cats! She sent multiple pictures/updates throughout the days we were away and went above and beyond to keep our house clean and our pets happy. We will definitely be using Vanya in the future for as long as she will have us!”

I provide reliable, compassionate pet care and treat every pet like they're part of my own family. Whether you need someone to check in, provide companionship, or care for your pets while you're away, you can count on me to keep them safe, happy, and well cared for. I work with autistic kids on my work days I only work Sunday and Monday until 3:30 I am completely free every other day of the week and would love to chose those days to give your pets everything they deserve! Whether your pet stays in my home or I care for them in the comfort of yours, my goal is to make them feel safe, loved, and happy. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, fresh food and water, and lots of affection while following their normal routine as closely as possible. I understand that every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their individual needs and personality. I treat every animal as if they were my own, giving you peace of mind knowing they're receiving compassionate, reliable care while you're away.
“Troy did a fantastic job sitting for our Golden Retriever, Dory, while we were away for the weekend. He also took care of feeding the fish in our aquarium and attending to a few household items that went above and beyond what we expected him to do. So glad to have Troy on call through Rover to help with our pet sitting needs.”

“Casey was fantastic! I appreciated her communication ahead of tome and pre-meeting us and then updates and pictures throughout the visit. Will definitely be scheduling again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was a kid, and now work my full time job with animals every day. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, ferrets, and rodents! My senior dog has Stage 3 kidney disease and we provide daily care for him, including oral and injectable meds, and special diets. I am comfortable doing this with other animals :) I work a full time job during the week, hours 7 am - 3:30 pm. Am looking for supplemental income by providing pet care to those in need. I am available after 4:30 pm during the week, and weekends. I have a fenced in yard for my for dog, and a crate available if needed. I would prefer caring for your pets at your home but am willing to bring them to my home if they are dog and cat friendly. I have a senior dog who has some trouble getting around so we have ramps, but he prefers dogs that are smaller than he is, about 55 lbs. My pets are treated like kings and queens in our home and I would provide the same care for your fur babies!
“Amie was amazing. I was SO nervous about leaving my boy for two nights and being so far away from him for that long, but he was in such great hands with Amie. She arrived before I left, making it a smooth transition, and we was able to stay with Oscar until I got home. She was amazing with him and it is clear that he loves her, and she was so respectful of my little home. Things were freshly washed and cleaned and neatly put away; I didn't have to do a single extra thing except spend quality time with my boy. Amie is incredible, and it is clear to me that she loves the animals she watches so much. I will definitely be hiring her again.”

“Anissa was awesome! She stayed at our house and took care of our dog and 2 cats. Communication was super easy, and she sent updates with photos. She even took our pup to the obedience class, that she’s enrolled in, so she didn’t miss it! Couldn’t have asked for a easier experience for our first time booking a house sitter through Rover.”

About: I volunteer at a shelter almost weekly, so I have tons of experience with different dog breeds and knowledge of administering pills and eye/ear drops! I work part-time currently, so I’m available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I can also check in on Saturday and Sunday depending on the time when I work! I have two lovely smaller dogs at home that are crate trained and they get walked daily and are taken to the dog park weekly.
“We are so grateful to Christie and her daughter. They give so much love and attention to Roxy while I’m away! Christie is a terrific communicator-she sends photos and keeps me updated when I’m traveling. I really could not ask for a more thoughtful and contentious care taker. She’s an absolute gem.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs since I was young. Dealt with from walking dogs to hanging out with the cats. They are always in a good amount of love and care. I’m going to school for veterinary medicine as an assistant in the veterinary hospitals. I need more experience and knowledge to get my through it. So doing Rover will help tremendously. I’m always on the watch from where the pet is and what they are doing. Also being in their company is always a must in my mind.
“Mallory was so wonderful to our Izze and Maggie. I appreciated the daily communication and photo updates. This was the first time we went away and didn’t have the worries of them being taken care of to our standards, she certainly exceeded those.”

About: I've owned dogs my whole life and I can appreciate every breed. They all deserve love and compassion, and I've recently made room for cats, as well. Pets are family members, so I don't mind lending a hand for family! I have two jobs, but I am hoping to make this a replacement second job. My day job, I get out at 3pm and I have the rest of the day to help out. Of course, I have my own dog, so I'd like to stop home and care for her first before helping out where I'm needed, but other than that, I have a pretty open schedule, especially on the weekends! I will always opt for going to a client's home because I rent my place of living and am limited in bringing around other pets. I will follow any instructions given to me by my clients, and am very good at sending updates!!
About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I've been lucky to parent dogs, cats, and horses, including two retired racing Greyhounds and a tuxedo cat who made me a certified cat person. Beyond my own, I've been caring for pets professionally (i.e., beyond friends and family) for more than 15 years, and after taking some time away while completing my PhD and living abroad, I'm excited to be back doing something I've always loved. In 2011, I started walking pups professionally in Chicago as a side gig during my breaks from tour managing for a band, which quickly turned into my dog-walking clients asking me to stay in their home with their pets while they were away. Over the span of just a few years, I built relationships with more than 30 clients, with most of them turning into repeat (and repeat and repeat!) clients. I've cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, from tiny Yorkies to Great Danes and everything in between. I've also worked with many pets that required extra patience or specialized care. I've cared for senior pets, dogs < 1yo, a blind Australian Cattle Dog, a deaf cat, highly anxious and stranger-wary dogs, VERY stranger-wary cats, a Beagle with a seizure disorder, and pets receiving medication. I've also been the go-to sitter for a couple of families going through difficult times with their critters, including caring for their pets with terminal illnesses during their final days (both a black lab named Maggie and the sweetest deaf black cat named Sam) . Over the years, I've handled a few very unexpected situations as well. Whether it's a medical event requiring an unexpected trip to the veterinarian or even arriving to a cat drop-in visit to find that the apartment had experienced a break-in (in my Chicago days, which included working with police and gathering the terrified cats from the apartment stairwell), I've stayed calm, communicated clearly, and focused on keeping the critters safe and the clients informed. There have also been several occasions where I've extended my stay last-minute due to a client's canceled flight or interrupted travel plans. One of the biggest differences between my prior pet sitting days and now is my flexibility due to my remote work. When I pet sat extensively throughout Chicago, my tour managing days had ended and I worked a full-time 9-5 downtown. This was fine for my clients, as they had a similar schedule. But I now work fully remotely, so I have a highly flexible schedule that allows me to spend much more time with your pets throughout the day than I could years ago. I essentially do my best to work around your pet's normal routine. I'm happy to accommodate early mornings, evenings, or midday visits whenever possible. My goal is to make life feel as normal and stress-free as possible for your pets while you're away. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect I'd expect someone to show mine, as I've also hired pet sitters over the years for my own critters. I follow your instructions (the more the better!), keep you updated with photos (lots!) and messages, and make sure your pets receive the same routines, rules, and attention they're used to (e.g., their feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, cuddle time, or simply keeping them company).
About: I’ve had first hand experience in training and taking care of one client’s dog from daily walks and bathing and grooming. I absolutely love dogs and want to expand more! I’m currently working part time. I am also a single mom. I’m available on Mondays during school hours, during the week in the afternoon/evening as well as the weekends. I will provide safe environment for your dog! There is also a dog park nearby. So you can count on daily walks or runs! Any selfies we take will be sent to you! :D

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Three Rivers
Mykala was great! We hired her last minute because our previous sitter stopped responding to us. She met us the next day for a meet and great, my animals loved her right away. She sent pics and updates every morning and afternoon and we really appreciated it. During our vacation we had a family emergency so we were messaging back forth and she was very quick to respond. Definitely adding her to our rebook list!

Lindsey watched our dogs Friday night and all day Saturday for drop in visits. She didn't just let them out potty and leave quickly. She actually stayed and played with them, gave them treats, and spent time with them outside even during the rain. I highly recommend her and we will be using her again soon! Thank you for taking great care of our dogs!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Three Rivers walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Three Rivers maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Three Rivers choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Three Rivers. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
