About: I have been an animal lover since birth, and have had a wide assortment of different pets throughout my entire life. This has given me the privilege to learn to care for many types of animals. However, dogs have been the constant companion that my family has had. No matter the size, age, or breed, I feel confident giving quality pet care. Your pets will not just be well cared for but loved and played with. My days off are Monday and Tuesday, these will be my best days. On these days I can come any time of day or stay/check in as much as needed. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday I work but often have long breaks in between multiple times a day. These days would work best for dog walking or pet sitting. If you are curious about another specific day, message me and I might be able to stop by over the weekend if my days allow it. Having dogs myself I have experience feeding dogs/cats (even the more sensitive pets). When checking in on one of your babies I will make sure to slowly introduce myself, so they will experience less anxiety. I will let the pet lead in how much affection they want. After I will make sure to complete all tasks on the list while making sure to respect the home. My house has a large fenced-in backyard for the dogs to run around. The home is well-kept and set up for watching younger puppies as well.

“This was our first time leaving our 1-year-old dog with someone outside of the family since we got him. Katelynn was awesome with Zeus and was great with him from the very start! He typically is very scared of new people and refuses to leave our side but she made him feel comfortable and safe from the start! She kept us up to date throughout the day which made us feel safe. We will definitely have Zeus stay with her next time, she was wonderful and I would highly recommend her!”

I live in a one-level ranch-style home with a fully fenced-in backyard, perfect for safe outdoor play. My home is quiet, clean, and pet-friendly. Sunny is gentle and social, making him a great companion for visiting pets. I treat every dog like family and prioritize their comfort and safety.

“Caroline is very friendly and responsive. She immediately clicked with my mini poodle after their first meeting. She sends great pictures and video updates so you know how your baby is doing throughout the day. I would definitely recommend her for daycare.”

About: Puppy sitting for my perfect nephew (Rocky) for the last five years in San Diego inspired me to help others in Richmond now that I call it my home. In college I fostered kittens that were too young to be adopted to help build socialization skills with people. I grew up always having both a dog and cat in the home and can’t wait to rescue someone of my own here soon 😊. I live and work in the Willow Lawn area and love to get out for many walks. I live an active life and love the outdoors. I am happily available for boarding, daycare or walks but currently prefer weekends over weekdays as I work from an office down the road from home. Advance notice to schedule boarding is greatly appreciated to plan ahead with my schedule. It is just me at home with a fenced in spacious backyard and quiet street full of neighborhood fur friends to meet along our walks!

About: I have grown up with a house full of animals my whole life. Dogs have truly been at the center of my universe for as long as I can remember. As I grew up, I became passionate about providing the same love and care for doggos that they had given me my whole life. I have spent years volunteering at the local Humane Society. I served various roles with both cats and dogs and learned to care for animals of all walks of life. I especially loved being both a dog walker and a canine companion because I got to build a trusting relationship with every single dog I met. As a devoted pet owner I understand the struggle to find somebody that you trust with one of your family members. I am devoted to making sure you and your pets feel comfortable and worry-free. I am open to help out in whatever way needed. My schedule is very flexible so I am open during the days, afternoons, and evenings! I treat every pet just like I would treat my own - like family! I believe that every single furry friend deserves nothing but the best of care. I am devoted to ensuring both you and your pets comfort during their stay. In my house, pets are allowed on furniture and will be taken on walks, played with often, and given endless snuggles!

About: I can honestly say that since the day I was born, I have not been without a pet. Growing up around animals was not only a privilege but became something I cherished. Since I was young, I helped care for a wide variety of family pets as well as those of neighbors' and friends' from time to time. My love for animals and my passion for their well-being eventually found me in the world of veterinary medicine in 2009. I became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2012, graduating at the top of my class. Because of my experience and education, I have much knowledge and many special skills when it comes to taking care of your loved ones. I am able to take care of youngsters to seniors, pets with special needs and medical conditions as well as those needing medications/treatments. I am also able to perform some grooming tasks such as bathing, expressing anal glands, cleaning ears and giving toe nail trims. I have experience with a wide variety of pets- from dogs and cats to back yard chickens and pocket pets and even farm animals. I know when I have to leave my pets for any stretch of time, it is of the utmost importance for me to have someone I have faith in and trust to spend time with and take care of them in my absence; I would love to be that person for you and your sweet pets. Our pets do so much for us, I can only hope to return the favor. My day revolves around pet care! I have a dog and two cats of my own, so my day starts and ends with them=) My work is such that I am able to easily adjust my schedule based on your pet's needs. I have a boisterous 10 year old hound mix who loves to have friends over =) I also have two cats who tend to make themselves scarce when other pups come to play! I do not have a fenced in yard, but am able to get the pups out frequently for nice long walks (or jogs if your pup likes to run!) I try to stick to your pet's schedule- walks, feeding, medication, etc, as closely as possible so as to reduce any potential anxiety from being separated from their people. Feel free to bring your pet's own blankets/beds/bowls, etc - otherwise, we have all that stuff here too! Your pet will become a part of the family from their stay onward!

Eva A.
“Eva is a dog whisperer! Her deep love for animals is evident every time she cares for our dogs. Exacting with details and extremely responsible, Eva is reliable, punctual, and true to her word. She tailors her interactions to exactly what each dog needs, be it snuggles or runs. She has also taught our dogs numerous tricks, including roll over, hide and seek, and how to spin in a complete circle (she calls it ballerina). She trains them with only positive rewards and would never be harsh with a dog. In addition, Eva has successfully treated our dogs for ear infections and given other medication as needed. Our beloved pups couldn't be in better hands than Eva's!”

Amanda E.

“Toffee could not have been happier to return to Amanda's for some last minute day care.”
