About: Hello, my name is Erin! I've taken care of many pets in my life. I was raised on a farm with horses, many different breeds of dogs & much more. Now have my own farm, There are goats, our two dogs on our little less than 10 acres. I have clients that have had me stay at their houses for weeks watching pets as small as cats all the way to horses. Most of them had 3 to 4 dogs. I am currently a owner of my own farm & creations buisness & I work from home, I have built most of my buisness around pet / animal care because I've always been passionate about animals. I always have time for your fur babies first. I look forward to helping watch your pets & animals for you. I also have on call vets in case of emergencies. I know how to bathe and groom dogs. My husband Will loves pets just as much as I do, so he helps sometimes! I have multiple fenced in areas. We also take in high regards if it's too hot out/ too cold. They are always supervised & treated as family. We also have our dedicated doggy room for pups that need that extra space for themselves to feel comfortable or if its vice versa. Both doors on house have fenced in area which is also able to be opened into one big area if everyone is so happy together!We also take pups for rides as well- if family allows to go on adventures. I have 30+ years of lots of animal and doggie care! I am always available to keep a close eye & give your pet the best time, with lots of walks, play time, also car rides and give you peace of mind with lots of updates & pictures and videos! I have a fenced in yard for tons of play time, I have two very friendly boxers that love to play but also can be separated from your dog. I can do daily walks there is alot of safe places to go for a stroll. I keep our dogs & animals updated with all shots & medicine & baths. We also do offer bathing & grooming services and photoshoots of your pet! Look forward to meet you, your pets and treat them with the best care and spoil them like best friends deserve! I work from home on our farm and my buisness. The pets and animals always come first I'm up early 5am and go to bed from 9:30 - 10pm giving the pups plenty of potty breaks and play time and following all the needs of pets and keeping everyone updated. I have multiple fenced in safe areas for your pup to play with our friendly pups & other dogs that come here or separately if needed for safety reasons or if your pup is showing signs of stress. They are always watched after carefully and if any signs of separation anxiety, you will be notified and we will go over my plans to help them. I do request to know any health issues before you arrive with your pet. I also expect your pet to be on a flea/ tick prevention and up to date on shots. ( I do want to note as well I regularly check for ticks after outing. ** please tell me if your dog has any aggression, fearful aggression, not potty trained issues, behavioral issues of any sort , also if you prefer your dog to be separate from others or caged during certain times. I do have space to feed everyone separately as well** it's so important to be honest so I'm not learning on the fly- chances are I'm a lot more understanding than you first would think after being judged by others( or if your embarrassed) - I try to help the animal and better their life. ( also yours) I want our place be a fun safe place for all pups and the best way for that is to know all triggers if any and allergies. I am able to help train your dog if you would like help with that as well. I have had a lot of experience in doing so and socializing dogs to help them gaining confidence & joy! I'm home 24/ 7 and sometimes have to go to town, your fur baby is more than welcomed to go on car ride with us! I have a decent sized fenced in yard and always have very friendly dogs that love to play but also love to chill! We love to go play and go for rides! We have been expanding indoor and outdoor fun including adding lick mats for dogs to not be bored! They have a t.v. and a mudroom with huge windows with bird entertainment on rainy days or just to chill at their will! There's tons we do including playing on our 10 acreas!

About: Hi! I’m Ashley — a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, ferrets, and more. I’ve worked in a veterinary office and previously ran my own daycare, so I’m confident handling pets of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I have experience with large and strong dogs, high-energy and working breeds, and multi-pet households. I’m also comfortable caring for multiple species, including exotics, and have a strong understanding of animal behavior and safety. I can recognize the difference between play, stress, and aggression, which helps keep your pets safe and comfortable at all times. Whether your pet needs exercise, structure, or calm companionship, I adjust my care to fit their personality and needs. I pride myself on being reliable, punctual, and communicative, and I always treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m happy to send photo and message updates so you always have peace of mind while you’re away. Early mornings, afternoons, Saturdays for all services. Sundays I am available for boarding only at this time — I do my best to stay flexible for my clients! I care for your pet as you would want them cared for. I love taking pictures, it's up to you if I share them with everyone or just you!

“Rachel provided wonderful care for our three dogs and 2 cats while we were away. She stopped by for drop-in visits and stayed for two overnights. She was very professional and continued to provide photo and written updates through the Rover app. She was attentive to the needs and individual personalities of our pets. Our pets appeared relaxed and happy under her care. We definitely recommend Rachel's services and would love to have her sit for us again!”

About: My name is Andreas, and I am a Maine/NYC-based actor/singer/dancer/dog-lover! I grew up in the beautiful, rural forests of Maine, and my family always had at least two dogs in our family while growing up! I have cared for dogs my whole life, and I have done it professionally for over 10 years. I am passionate about health/fitness, and I will happily share my healthy habits with your best friend! Whether on a walk, on a run, cuddling on the couch, feeding your pet breakfast/dinner, I will always care for Man's Best Friend with my 100% heart. Your pup will be in safe paws with me! Fun fact: I have played "MAX" (The Grinch's dog!) on The Broadway National Tour of How The Grinch Stole Christmas: The Musical for three years, so I know the mind of a dog quite well...! I’m currently working part-time with plenty of time for walking, sitting, boarding, playing, and taking care of pets! I have various clients who I work with independently but am happy to accept new Rover clients. I have taken care of a wide variety of dogs with various needs! Very happy to go case-by-case and make sure that you feel your best friend is getting all the care and attention they need. Whether it’s long nature adventures, or cuddling on the couch, I’m happy to spend quality time with your pet.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
