“Erin did great! Excellent communication, took great care of Bosco. An unexpected house accident happened (a window broke) and Erin handled it really well. Would definitely book again!”

“Erin was wonderful with our cat Bella, who can be a little wary of new people. She got Bella to come out everyday and sent us fantastic pictures. I highly recommend Erin to anyone looking for a friendly, reliable pet-sitter. We are so, so grateful for the peace of mind she gave us while we were away!”

“Jessica is super reliable, always on time and very responsive, providing lots of photos. I always feel comfortable having Jessica do drop in care visits for my cat. I know she'll be well cared for!”

“Tanya was so very accommodating! I needed a last minute drop in for my dog Josie and she responded back to my request quickly and we were able to do a meet and greet that same day! When she stopped by she even sent me photos of my girl which made me so happy, most importantly she gave Josie her medication which was my biggest concern. Thank you so much Tanya!”

About: I have taken care of and interacted with many breeds and mixes of dogs, both my own and friends. Have taken care of multiple of cats and even interacted and helped care for several family ferrets. I currently work 3 overnights at a local hospital and am looking to spend some of my free time helping and interacting with local pets and pet parents in need of services, during the afternoons or nights on thur, fri, sat and Sundays. I work most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday therefor am not available on those days. I love and enjoy working with animals when I can outside of my healthcare career working with people. Having several pets of my own, as well as family companions, we take care of all their needs regarding food, play and exercise. Our own dogs spend multiple hours of the day playing inside and outside with each as well as with the people in our home. All pets are well taken care of and has their individual needs met. Their health and happiness is our privilege and priority.
“Carla provided exceptional care for our cat during our 2-week trip. Communication was excellent and the daily photos of our cat assured us that all was well. Our cat is very emotionally expressive and she looked 100% happy to be in Carla's lap. We will definitely hire Carla again the next time we need a sitter.”

About: Hello, my name is Erin! I've taken care of many pets in my life. I was raised on a farm with horses, many different breeds of dogs & much more. Now have my own farm, There are goats, our two dogs on our little less than 10 acres. I have clients that have had me stay at their houses for weeks watching pets as small as cats all the way to horses. Most of them had 3 to 4 dogs. I am currently a owner of my own farm & creations buisness & I work from home, I have built most of my buisness around pet / animal care because I've always been passionate about animals. I always have time for your fur babies first. I look forward to helping watch your pets & animals for you. I also have on call vets in case of emergencies. I know how to bathe and groom dogs. My husband Will loves pets just as much as I do, so he helps sometimes! I have multiple fenced in areas. We also take in high regards if it's too hot out/ too cold. They are always supervised & treated as family. We also have our dedicated doggy room for pups that need that extra space for themselves to feel comfortable or if its vice versa. Both doors on house have fenced in area which is also able to be opened into one big area if everyone is so happy together! We also take pups for rides as well- if family allows to go on adventures. I have 30+ years of lots of animal and doggie care! I am always available to keep a close eye & give your pet the best time, with lots of walks, play time, also car rides and give you peace of mind with lots of updates & pictures and videos! I work from home on our farm and my buisness. The pets and animals always come first I'm up early 5am and go to bed from 9:30 - 10pm giving the pups plenty of potty breaks and play time and following all the needs of pets and keeping everyone updated. I have multiple fenced in safe areas for your pup to play with our friendly pups & other dogs that come here or separately if needed for safety reasons or if your pup is showing signs of stress. They are always watched after carefully and if any signs of separation anxiety, you will be notified and we will go over my plans to help them. I do request to know any health issues before you arrive with your pet. I also expect your pet to be on a flea/ tick prevention and up to date on shots. ( I do want to note as well I regularly check for ticks after outing. ** please tell me if your dog has any aggression, fearful aggression, not potty trained issues, behavioral issues of any sort , also if you prefer your dog to be separate from others or caged during certain times. I do have space to feed everyone separately as well** it's so important to be honest so I'm not learning on the fly- chances are I'm a lot more understanding than you first would think after being judged by others( or if your embarrassed) - I try to help the animal and better their life. ( also yours) I want our place be a fun safe place for all pups and the best way for that is to know all triggers if any and allergies. I am able to help train your dog if you would like help with that as well. I have had a lot of experience in doing so and socializing dogs to help them gaining confidence & joy! I'm home 24/ 7 and sometimes have to go to town, your fur baby is more than welcomed to go on car ride with us! I have a decent sized fenced in yard and always have very friendly dogs that love to play but also love to chill! We love to go play and go for rides! We have been expanding indoor and outdoor fun including adding lick mats for dogs to not be bored! They have a t.v. and a mudroom with huge windows with bird entertainment on rainy days or just to chill at their will! There's tons we do including playing on our 10 acreas!
“McKenna was a GREAT pet sitter. She was on time and did all the tasks asked and even filled the bird feeders. Best of all, Stormy was excited to see her each day for food and pets. Her photos were so appreciated and so well done. I really appreciated her daily updates.”

“Rachel provided wonderful care for our three dogs and 2 cats while we were away. She stopped by for drop-in visits and stayed for two overnights. She was very professional and continued to provide photo and written updates through the Rover app. She was attentive to the needs and individual personalities of our pets. Our pets appeared relaxed and happy under her care. We definitely recommend Rachel's services and would love to have her sit for us again!”

“Melissa struck me as a mature, articulate, cheerful, and responsible adult. She did a wonderful job dropping in and taking care of my kitties and my home for 4 days. She also would’ve been available an extra day had my travel plans gone awry. Her communications and photos were timely and thorough. This trip was during a time of below zero temperatures outside, so it was nice to not worry about home/heat/freeze issues. My cats seem to have enjoyed her too. Thank you!”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
