Melanie did a great job checking in on Max! She stayed a good amount of time both visits, gave him lunch, and spent time outside playing with him even though it was cold. She was timely with messages, sent photos, and was very pleasant and considerate in our home (took off her shoes). We really appreciated her care and would happily book her again!

Ann is an amazing dog sitter. She took care of our elderly full-size Goldendoodle while we were visiting the Camden area and wanted to make a day trip to Bar Harbor. Because of Diesel’s dietary needs, I booked Ann to come every 3 hours to walk and feed our elderly gentleman. Ann came the day prior for a meet and greet and we were immediately at ease. In fact, we felt like we had known her forever. She did everything right meeting Diesel. Her services were amazing. She texted updates at every visit throughout the day, along with photos showing him happily at play, “talking,” on his walks, and even provided “poo ratings” to let us keep track of his stool. She is so kind and reliable. I visit the Camden area often and am so grateful to have found someone to rely on in the future. I will definitely be employing Ann again.

Hayleigh did a wonderful job with our cats. They were adopted litter mates at the age of 3 months. They have never been without us, so they were a little shy about showing themselves. Everything was done as asked, feeding, litter box, etc. Would use again if the need arises.

When she stopped by she even sent me photos of my girl which made me so happy, most importantly she gave Josie her medication which was my biggest concern. Thank you so much Tanya!

About: I’ve always grown up with dogs. Small and large I’ve worked with them. I walked dogs for my neighbors when I was in high school. I truly believe There is no greater joy than the joy brought to you by a dog. I hope Ripley and I have the privilege of spending quality time with your best friend. I recently moved to Florida to help my grandmother. I’m hoping river will bring me the flexibility to work and care for her. I prefer a few hours notice but same day booking are fine. I have a dog named Ripley. If you want me to bring my Fur baby as a friend for your dog I am more than happy to bring him along. He is a fully trained and certified SA. If your dog doesn’t like other dogs Ripley doesn’t have to join me for the stay. My goal is for you and your dog to be comfortable and feel safe while you’re away.

After we’d stayed home all through the Covid year, Jill was the first caregiver our 2 young kitties ever had. We were nervous to leave them, especially shy Jack. Well - no worries!! Jill has a calm, gentle demeanor and both cats quickly became comfortable with her. She’s responsive, reliable, and resourceful - she even found our extra birdseed to ensure the feeder outside the window (major cat entertainment!) stayed full. We definitely would recommend Jill!

We had such a wonderful experience with Amanda. Leaving a small puppy and other dog (both Basenjis) in someone else’s care can be nerve-racking, but Amanda made the entire process feel effortless and reassuring. From the start, it was clear she truly understands dogs and their personalities — especially a breed like a Basenji, which isn’t always the easiest! She was incredibly attentive, patient with our puppy, and thoughtful about making sure both dogs felt comfortable and cared for. We received regular updates and so many amazing photos, which made it clear our dogs were happy, relaxed, and getting plenty of attention. When we returned home, both dogs were calm, content, and clearly well cared for. It gave a lot of peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We would absolutely trust them again with Amanda. We will absolutely have her back again, I highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a responsible, kind, and genuinely great pet sitter.

About: Hi! My name is Olivia but everyone calls me Olive! Caring for animals has been my lifelong passion, starting with volunteering at the local shelter ever since I was old enough. I truly Olive all pets! My background provides expertise across many different needs and temperaments. My journey began volunteering at the animal shelter, where duties included daily animal care, dog walking and socialization, and kennel cleaning. In my more recent history, I gained deep experience working at a non-profit cat rescue, with duties including specialized feeding, medication administration, sanitation, and monitoring feline health. Building on this, I'm especially skilled with young cats through fostering kittens, which entails providing 24/7 care for vulnerable babies, managing strict feeding schedules, facilitating litter box training, and ensuring daily socialization. I also volunteered at a wildlife rescue in Santa Fe, New Mexico, demonstrating my commitment to advanced animal care and hands-on experience in diverse environments. I also have a special soft spot for the seniors! Having provided gentle, loving care for my own cherished senior dogs and cats throughout my life, I specialize in meeting their specific needs, from medication to quiet companionship. I look forward to providing your pets with the knowledgeable and compassionate care they deserve. As a full-time online student, I have no competing job obligations, allowing for maximum flexibility. I am fully available for early morning services, midday check-ins, and dog walks. I manage my brief Monday and Wednesday night classes by simply scheduling evening care earlier on those two days, ensuring consistent, reliable service. My availability is ideal for daily care and dedicated overnight house sitting for your pets! When your furry family is in my care, they are showered with My affection, cuddles, and all their familiar comforts! My goal is to make their time away from you feel safe, comfortable, and full of fun. I always stick to your established schedule, covering specific feeding times, favorite treats, and medication needs—delivered with patience and a gentle hand. Whether it's an enjoyable walk tailored to your dog's pace or an engaging playtime session for your cat, I ensure they get the physical activity and mental stimulation they need, making sure litter boxes are always tidy and water bowls are fresh. For our distinguished seniors, I provide a special kind of love, slowing down for extra-gentle handling, cozy quiet time, and specialized patient care. You'll receive frequent photo updates and happy reports so you can see your pet thriving—guaranteeing your peace of mind.

Selena was so great to work with! She came over before the actual day I needed her, to go over the "routine" etc. While she was with Bud she was super communicative and checked in with photos and texts. Bud was well taken care for :). She wa also flexible about timing. Would definitely work with Selena again!!

About: I owned and operated a full-service petsitting company for over 23 years, and wish to continue providing quality and compassionate care to new furry friends! Experienced with meds, injections, wound care, etc. Vet reference gladly provided. Bonded & insured. I look forward to caring for your pets and providing you peace of mind when you are away. Birds, cats, dogs, fish all welcome! Since my beloved Seymour passed away, I am now able to housesit and keep the occasional furry guest in my home. Dogs would get out for walks/yard time every few hours; cat box cleaned ditto. Feeding, play and light grooming throughout the day and evening as you specify. I work part-time in Camden, but am able to take dogs to work with me, where there is a big yard and plenty of potty break and play space. Typical visits prioritize potty needs, feeding/medicating and petting and play. Hanging out fun, too! I treat your pets as if they were my own. I let them set the parameters for play, touch and exercise. Bonding usually happens quickly!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
