I whole-heartedly recommend Pat for pet-sitting services! She is a dedicated and deeply caring person who understands dogs and their psyches very well. She also has excellent communication skills and patience! She went above and beyond during my dogs' stay with her to ensure their physical and - equally if not more important - psychological well-being.

About: Currently I am between caregiving clients trying to decide what my next move is. I was born into an animal loving family, extended family, etc. I am 59 years old and have never been without at least a cat or two. I've also had 2 of my own dogs since 2005. My last senior dog passed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Born in Connecticut, lived for 45 years in Maryland and now I am living in Maine where I love it! One reason I fell in love with Maine is you can bring your dog almost anywhere here. They are a pet loving no-kill state! I have administered just about every kind of pet med out there. Every single pet has their own personality and I am very patient to learn that personality so we will become friends. I have a pretty open schedule with no real deadlines, so when ever your pets need walks, feeding, medications or just spend time with them, I am there. My own pets get feed twice a day. The time varies depending on my pet sitting schedule. But usually Its about 10am and 7pm. Whatever instructions left for me for a pet sit, I will follow to the letter. I will ask questions or text later to make sure I understand everything your pet needs. I've never run into an animal not liking me, but I am very aware of them not be comfortable with me at first. That can be stressful for them of course, so its very important that their care instructions are followed to keep them as anxiety free as possible.

Jacki took the absolute best care of my golden retriever. Her dogs are also very friendly and do well with other dogs. She and her family were also able to adapt to all my dog's particular needs. When I picked him up, it was clear to me that he had a great time in Jacki's home and would be happy to go back some day.

I am so grateful for Bethany and her family for the loving care they give to my Australian shepherd, Remi. They care for her and treat her as part of the family. My affection and confidence may best be expressed by sharing that Bethany is listed in my contacts as “ Remi’s Rover Mom. “ I highly recommend 🙂🙏🐕

Melanie provided a safe, nurturing environment for our Lucy. She was warm and welcoming when we met, and clearly gave Lucy lots of love while she was in her care. She has a large yard for dogs to play. She sent me pictures every day, both of Lucy playing with the other dogs, as well as relaxing. I felt completely confident that Lucy was in the best of hands!

About: I'm a work at home pet mom with a large yard, lots of toys, and a calm and welcoming house. I've always had large dogs from mixed breeds to Great Danes, but love and appreciate all types of well mannered dogs. My house sits well off the road, so its quiet and I hike or trail walk almost daily. I am adept at giving medicine, cleaning wounds and dealing with incontinent dogs, but I will only board dogs who are respectful of my cats. I am currently working from home on my own schedule. Boarded dogs who enjoy car rides can come with me on errands or outings. While each day may different, my activities will be built around the needs of the animals I am caretaking, especially if separation anxiety is an issue. I will care for your animals as per your instructions and the capabilities of your pet. I do not have a fenced in yard, but have installed a run line in the past. If a dog is used to being crated, receiving treats, or sleeping on the couch - no problem. Conversely, I don't give animals people food, and if you want your pets to stay off furniture I will strictly honor that as well. My house is small but open, so it is easy to keep an eye on them.

NOBLEBORO, ME, 04555

About: I had beagles growing up and was totally fascinated by them and they brought a big smile to my face with their antics. Later on, I adopted a red Doberman female dog and loved her to pieces taking her on all sort of outdoor adventures - she was highly athletic! I had a poodle who was a bit shy but nevertheless I gave her a great life with endless throwing of the ball for fetch and taking care of her when she went blind - older poodles have that tendency. I have a 11 year old cockapoo who is lean and trim and well loved! Yes could have used more training but what an awesome, well adjusted dog who is super friendly as I my two year old female cocker spaniel who is an absolute joy of sweetness. I have integrity, I think quick on my feet and am very responsible having raised a family and pets. I am a dog whisperer who can tune into all different kinds of dogs and dispositions. I am a semi retired man and so have much more free time. I love outdoor adventures and sunshine and I know dogs do too! First off, every dog is different and has his or her own quirks from dietary to social interactions with other dogs. It’s great to love dogs but it’s also important to provide them structure and pay good attention to their health needs. Not every dog is cut out for lengthy walks so I tailor the experience to whatever brings the dog most joy!

Lacey and Jeremy were absolutely fantastic with our pups! We have an older dog and a young puppy, both of whom need to have frequent potty breaks. This was no problem for them. They were so welcoming and loving with our guys. Lacey carefully listened to all our concerns and directions about the dogs but I didn’t need to worry because everything went so well. They had a long stay and had such a wonderful time that I wasn’t sure they would want to come home. Lacey communicated with us regularly and sent adorable pictures. We were surprised and delighted that both dogs were given baths and looked and smelled great when we picked them up. Lacey and Jeremy definitely exceeded our expectations.

Ellie and Sarah are great! Their house has a great setup for dogs with a fenced in area in the yard. They were super responsive to my messages, provided pictures, and asked questions of their own to make sure they provided my pets with excellent care. They were also flexible with my pickup time when my travel plans changed due to weather. Would book again!

Pat took very good care of our two dogs - one barely out of the puppy stage and the other a senior dog. She kept them safe, as comfortable as possible, and communicated updates daily to give us a piece of mind.

  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
