“Lauren is wonderful! She communicates clearly and in a timely fashion. I feel fortunate that she is walks my dogs. I can tell that she cares about doing what is best for them as she really took the time to learn about their quirks. I would definitely recommend Lauren!”

“Jeremy has walked my dog a few times and from what I can tell, she enjoys walking with him. I get an update before and a photo with time and distance after the walk, which I appreciate. When my pup wasn't up for a walk, Jeremy stayed and played with her. He was also patient while helping me to navigate booking and rebooking, when my recurring schedule changed. Looking forward to future walks!”

“Jessica was so great with Rugby! He was a little stressed out at first and she made him feel right at home. She came to watch him at a concert I was playing and was great reading his cues. She made sure he had fun and didn't join in on the singing (barking) too much, and it was great not having to worry about him while I was playing.”

About: I have over 12 years of experience caring for animals. As a former pet owner, I understand the stress that comes with finding someone compatible and dedicated enough to watch over your loved ones while you are away. My clients have been able to rely on me to take great care of their loved ones while they are away. I have experience, with walking, feeding, cleaning, and medicating pets. I have also worked with rescues and difficult to deal with dogs and cats. Please do not worry about the size of your dog, I am very comfortable caring for large dogs as well as small. I have recently graduated from Roanoke college, so I will have plenty of time to play with, care for, and love on your pets while you are away. Seeing your pets happy makes me happy! I am very detail oriented so there is no need to worry about whether your pet has received their medication or if they will escape the house or yard. I always triple check to ensure their needs have been met, from feeding to walking to medication – with the addition of playtime and treats.

About: After saying goodbye to my 19-year-old beagle this past spring, I realized that the best way to pay tribute to her was by looking after other people's pets just as I did for her. During the pandemic, I took care of my neighbors' pets, helped with their little ones, and even signed up to foster at my local SPCA. Anyone who knows me can tell you that my passion for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Currently I have a full-time job, but that will not get in the way of giving your family member the love and care they need. I know how stressful it can be to find someone to watch your pet, so I am hoping to bring comfort to owners knowing I will love their animals like my own. I have watched many different kinds of animals with varied ages and needs, so I am willing to work with the owner on what makes them and their animal the most comfortable.

About: I currently have 2 dogs of my own and have cared for many pets through Rover, friends, family, and neighbors. I take the time to connect with animals and get to know them well. One of our dogs has a history of reactivity so I have experience with challenging behaviors and training. I have the patience required to care for animals that are timid or exuberant. While living in North Carolina, my wife, Ellie, and I were Rover sitters for 3 years. Now that we live in Virginia, she is working full-time as a teacher and I am self-employed as a carpenter/handy-man. My schedule is flexible and I will prioritize your pet’s needs as I create my daily plans. I am detail-oriented and will be sure to follow all instructions provided by the client. Your pet’s safety and comfort is my top priority. I will care for your house and animals alike as I understand that it requires a lot of trust to share these things with a pet sitter.

“We love Kayci she’s just the best. Always cares for our Pup Rosie so well and really seems to understand and love animals. Something else I love about Kayci is she almost never fails to mention that she saw the other pets in our home too- she’s not even there to check on the cats but it is so sweet and gives me a little extra peace of mind to know she had eyes on and gave a few pets to my other fur babies.”

“Allison has been so great with our 6 month old pup. It is such a relief to be able to leave him with someone trustworthy and competent like Allison on the days we have to work. I recommend her whole-heartedly!”

“Molly was amazing with my puppy Humphrey! She arrived on time and provided us with constant updates on how his walk was going and even included pictures and video messages. Molly provided an amazing first Rover experience and I'll definitely book her for walks with Humphrey again and again. Thank you!”

About: I am a huge lover of dogs of all kinds, from chihuahua to doberman. I love to play with them all. I have two dogs whom I love with all my heart. My dog Chip is an 80 pound ball of anxiety who is afraid of dogs a fourth of his size. I also have a golden doodle named Huitzi. She is very loving and kind and has been trained to be a therapy dog. I love spending time with both of them and enjoy their unique personalities. I often walk them in the beautiful parks and trails in the Crozet area, and have become good at handling dogs with difficult personalities. I believe dogs should be treated with love and with respect to their nature.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for three dogs over an extended period. I’ve consistently been responsible for feeding, walking, grooming, and spending quality time with them. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and I love getting outside for a good walk! I will be working full time, but with advanced notice I will adjust my schedule to accommodate your needs and making sure your pets are well take care of. Advanced notice is appreciated, but I will accept work with less notice if I can accommodate it! I will care for pets in your home, and I will make sure that they’re well taken care of so you can relax while you’re away. However you need your pets taken care of, I’ve got you covered!

About: I spent a lot of time over the pandemic walking and petsitting some very active dogs. I love big breeds but would also love to hangout with some little guys! I work as a tutor and have a pretty flexible schedule— I can do walks in the mornings, evenings, and weekends and can petsit at your place overnight! I consider myself very respectful and tidy in other people’s spaces. I am very trustworthy when it comes to privacy and security as well. I am happy to provide additional references as needed.

“Isabelle watched our dog Patch while out-of-town for a week. She was wonderful. She had access to our home during that time, and would visit with him several times during the day, spending considerable time playing with him, giving him love and affection and of course walking and feeding him. Each time she visits our home, she is so affectionate with Patch and it’s clear he is happy to see her. Highly recommend Isabelle for pet needs!”

Alexi S.
“Alexi is a very loving pet sitter and completely dependable. My dog absolutely loves seeing her because he knows that she gives him all the love and attention that he needs. I appreciate that Alexi has had the patience and calm demeanor to gain the trust of my anxious dog and allow him to feel comfortable with her. She is one of his favorite people to see! I also know that Alexi is very good with senior dogs. My previous dog was very elderly and she understands the special needs of this age group. She gives excellent care and I highly recommend her!”

Nickolas S.

“Ellie took great care of my 12 year old cockapoo Beau. She sent me pictures of the fur ball every day. He absolutely loved running around in her backyard. My poor pup has some age related issues including mobility and night vision to which Ellie was very accommodating. Although he is a small dog (less than 20 pounds) he has some mobility issues after lots of activity and Ellie was more than happy to give him a helping hand up the 3 stairs to the yard. Ellie's caring and kind spirit helped my old dog feel like a little puppy again! He did not want to leave her. I will definitely trust her to look after my pup any day and I know he looks forward to it!”
