“Paige has house sat for our animals twice now, and she has been fantastic! The communication and care she gives them has always been a huge relief when we go away on trips.”

About: I have lived with and been surrounded by dogs and basically all animals for my entire life. I used Rover before and I stopped temporarily due to some career changes. Thank you so much for your consideration! Growing up I had 2 Labrador Retrievers, and now I frequently help care for my aunt's 4 dogs. (Rottweiler, Doberman Pinscher, Maltese mix, and Yorkie) I currently have 3 cats which are both rescues. I'm not limited to caring for only dogs and cats. I've had many different reptiles, rodents, fish, and birds throughout my life, and would feel comfortable caring for any species!
“The whole process booking with Katie was easy! We needed her help with our two kittens who need a bunch of attention throughout the week and when we arrived home everything was in order and under control. She did a great job watching over the kittens during our vacation and made our arrival peaceful by having them already taken care of. She is so sweet and caring. We received updates at least twice a day about the day which we LOVED ! We appreciate you for all your help! Thank you.”

“Joanna was great! She gave the perfect amount updates on my greyhound, Minerva while we were away and she kept our house super neat and clean. Minerva was so relaxed when we got home so we know she had a great weekend too! Would highly recommend!”
About: Hi there, I’m Angelina! I’ve had pets my entire life and have always loved being around animals. I have experience caring for pets both at home and through my work at a pet store, and I now work as an Animal Care Technician. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, so much so that I had to ensure I could work with them professionally too. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet, their quirks, and how they respond best to care. I’ve handled all sorts of pets (from rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, to birds, dogs, and cats) and ages, so if you have any small animals that you’d like watched as well, I’m your girl! Additionally, I can administer medications/topicals and follow any specific care needs or funny rituals your pet may be used to. I’m big on communication, so you will always get updates on how your pet is doing and cute photos to go along with them. I’m looking forward to getting to know you and your babies! I work full-time from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, so I’m available any time after 4! I’m always open to stopping by after work and overnight if needed. I’ll make sure your pet maintains their normal routine and feels as comfortable as possible, almost as though you never left! If staying overnight, your home will be well-taken care of and secure.
“I had never left my 2 older dogs with anyone besides friends or family before. Alexis was able to fill in at the last minute, and she took great care of my dogs! Both of my dogs are sweet but a little neurotic, but Alexis was a pro. She left the house clean and kept me up to date while I was away.”

“Cara was the most amazing dog sitter!!! I was out of town for almost a week and didn’t have to worry for a second about my dogs - she took them on long walks downtown, took them to swim in her pool, and they absolutely loved her! I swear they were hoping she would walk in the door when I got home instead of me. Highly recommend Cara for all your pet sitting needs. Thanks Cara!!”

“My husband & I were really nervous to have someone house sit, but not only was Ryan awesome with our Yorkie & Fox Terrier but we returned to a clean house. He followed all of our well & gave daily reports on our fur-babies. Thanks so much Ryan!!”

About: I have nearly two years of professional experience working as a kennel assistant at two different animal care facilities, where I cared for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have experience administering medications, monitoring animal health, and confidently handling pets with a wide range of behaviors, including anxious, reactive, and energetic animals. I have also volunteered with cat rescue organizations, helping care for cats and prepare them for adoption into loving homes. As a pet owner myself, I care for one dog, four cats, and a lizard, giving me firsthand experience with the patience, responsibility, and compassion that every pet deserves. Pet care is currently my full-time focus, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate most requests. In a few weeks, I will be starting college to become a veterinary technician. Once classes begin, I will be available after class Monday through Thursday and will have open availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I will do my best to be flexible and work with your schedule whenever possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all care instructions, maintain your pet’s routine, provide plenty of love and attention, ensure a safe environment, and treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect and care.
“Natalia was incredible! She took amazing overnight care of our rescue pup with separation anxiety. Throughout the booking process and the period our dog was in Natalia’s care, she was warm, responsive, and accommodating. I can’t recommend Natalia enough!!”

“Ben was absolutely wonderful! He communicated well sent great photos and we felt very good about having him care for our dogs. He asked great questions when he was unsure and to me that is the mark of a great person and a caring pet sitter! We will ask Ben back for sure!”
“Julie is top notch. She sent us pictures and updates everyday. Made sure to let me know how much Blake ate and drank while we were gone. Our house looked exactly the way we left it when we got home. I have already recommended her to family and friends. Thank you again Julie Tammy, Scott and Blake ❤️”

“I can’t say enough great things about Emilee and Denzel. They have sat for my pit Mac twice in my home and this past trip I was away for 10 days. They are so very kind and caring and I couldn’t have felt more confident that they were providing great care for my buddy. The communication/updates and pics is always excellent! I would recommend them if you’re looking for the perfect sitter!”

“Abby was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly detailed and communicative throughout the entire stay, which made me feel completely at ease and relaxed while I was away. My dogs absolutely loved her, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about them and their routines. She was always prompt, reliable, and honestly felt more like a friend than just a pet sitter. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive!!”

“Makinzie was amazing with Clark. She was so respectful, responsive and kind- definitely a pup lover and he loved her back! Will definitely use her services again! Thank you Makinzie”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - The Glen at Greenfields
Katie was awesome! Handled my 3 very different dog situations well. One has Pica disorder and she rushed her to the emergency vet like a professional and had such compassion for the situation having happened. This dog is a challenging situation and she maman her with such care. Highly recommend her services on Rover.

Paige was an amazing pet sitter for our Stevie! She walked her, played with her in the backyard and kept her company while my husband and I were away for a long weekend. She left our home spotless and sent us update pictures every day. I will absolutely be using her again and can’t recommend her enough!

Tristan did a wonderful job taking care of our pets and home. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and it was clear they received lots of attention while we were away. He also followed our care instructions, including looking after our chickens, and everything was in great shape when we returned. We really appreciated the updates and peace of mind. We'd be happy to book with Tristan again and highly recommend him!

Alexis was amazing! She was kind and courteous and kept us updated on her day with Marlow! I loved the picture updates and the inquiries into some of our pups little quirks. This was our first time leaving our dog with someone other than family, and it could not have gone better. She not only treated Marlow well, but also our home. We will 10000% book again. ❤️

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred The Glen at Greenfields walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in The Glen at Greenfields maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in The Glen at Greenfields choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
