About: Hi there! My name is Lacy, I've taken care of all different shapes and sizes of pets since I was very young. I worked at a doggy day care for a year, as well as a dog walking company in Los Angeles where I took 5-6 dogs at a time for walks/hikes. I have some experience with simple obedience training, such as proper leash manners and basic commands like sit, stay, wait & come. I will be happy to take your dogs on walks or hikes, I'm also happy to take care of cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters, reptiles, etc. Let me know if I can help! Thanks! I currently work part time and I’m in my third semester of nursing school, currently taking online classes. My schedule varies from month to month but I will gladly help care for your fur babies whenever I can! My current living situation isn’t set up for me to keep pets at my home but I would love to take care of them in their own environment where they already feel comfortable and are familiar with the area!

“Morgan took great care of our dogs when we were traveling through Floyd VA!”

“Lea was very responsible and loving while caring for our two feline girls. Very nice lady to chat with as well 😉 would definitely recommend her as a cat sitter!”

“We had a last minute thing come up and Deann was ready and willing to take in our cats on such short notice. She took care of them as if they were her own and was amazing to work with! From updates and photos from drop off to pick up. You couldn’t ask for anyone better to care for your kitties! 12/10, will book again!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since middle school and have over 7 years of experience with pups and cats of all ages and temperaments. As a landscape architecture student at Virginia Tech, I love spending time outside and staying active—whether that means long walks, hikes, or just backyard playtime. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets like my own. I treat every animal with patience, joy, and genuine care. I currently take classes from 8 in the morning until 12 pm, so I am available from 6-7am and 1-6pm M-F and 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday! I do my best to make your pet feel comfy and cared for, whether I’m hanging out at your place or taking them for a walk. I’ll follow whatever routine you’ve got and use whatever leash or gear you prefer. If your pup needs to be crated at certain times, I’ve got no problem with that—and I’ll make sure they’re settled and relaxed. I’m also comfortable giving meds if needed, just let me know the details :)

“She took care of our cat for more than a week, and did an amazing job of keeping us updated! We highly recommend Mcelvey!!”

“Riane did an excellent job of taking care of my fur babies. She even took treats to my skittish cat under the bed where she was hiding. She took time to play with them and gave them love and attention.”

About: I've taken care of dogs ever since I can remember. I've watched friends, family & neighbors dogs as well as rescued dogs that I've had sent to rescues for the breed. I love bringing them to dog parks if possible and consented by owner. I work as an entrepreneur wich helps me to have extra time to do with as I please. I can almost set my own time Feed them, let them out to pee, play with them and take them on hikes or to the dog parks. I also can bathe if needed.

About: I’m available for everything from potty breaks every 2 hours to setting with them during a storm. I can administer meds and have experience with deaf and blind dogs. I’m a stay at home mom who prefers to homeschool my teenager. My schedule is very flexible. I can stay with your fur baby for a short visit or a lengthy visit allowing for outdoor time. I am available for you and your pet family and what your needs are. Your fur baby will be cared for and given the same attention and love as I’d give my own. I am quiet and soft spoken by nature. The family cat that hides from everyone doesn’t seem phased by my presence. Timid dogs do not feel threatened by me. I am happy to do small things around the house while your pet has outdoor time or potty’s. Water plants, collect eggs, get the mail, maybe even leave a few lights on at night to make it look like someone is home to passersby neighbors and cars. What ever you need me to do to make your time away from your fur baby as stress free as possible.

“Abby was so great with our puppy, Ferris! It can be stressful trusting someone else with your pets for the first time but we had no worries after meeting Abby! She's professional, friendly and Ferris took to her immediately. She even sent us pictures and an update. We will definitely be using her again!”
