About: I grew up around dogs and have always loved animals. When I came to college, I adopted a cat and later rescued another kitten I found in a car, so now I have two kitties of my own! I’m very comfortable caring for both cats and dogs and understand how important pets are to their families. I’m currently very flexible and have plenty of time to give your pets attention, playtime, and care throughout the day. I’m available most weekdays and weekends for drop-ins, walks, and overnight care. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and cared for. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I pay close attention to routines, feeding schedules, potty breaks, and any special instructions. I’ll treat your pets like my own and make sure they get lots of love, attention, and patience.

Brianna was AMAZING!!! Just moving to the area, we had to find a new rover very quickly and were so beyond lucky to have found Brianna. Our dog was so comfortable with her and she goes above and beyond to treat our dog like her own. She was so communicative throughout the entire visit and so respectful of our home. Would recommend her to absolutely everyone!!

About: Hi, my name is Lindsey, and I can't wait to meet your pet! I've been around animals my entire life, from cats to dogs, and have provided excellent care to captive animals such as wolves, bobcats, and more. I have about two years of professional dog grooming experience. I have degrees in environmental science, and am currently a postdoc researcher at the University of Mississippi. I took a break from doing Rover during graduate school, so my profile has been largely inactive since ~2019, but now that I have a normal schedule again, I'm back at it! My work schedule is generally flexible, so I can work around it to fit the best possible care for your pet. There is a dog park at my apartment I love to use, and the rail trail here in Oxford backs right up to my complex making longer walks convenient. I know I want the absolute best care for my own dog, so I promise the best care for your pets as long as they are with me! My work schedule is generally 8:30 - 4:30, with at least one remote workday per week. Usually, I have one day per week that I do field work, which makes for a longer workday, but I always know in advance so I can plan accordingly. On a typical day, I walk my own dog from 7:00-7:30am, come home for a walk at lunch around 12:00pm, and do a longer walk around 5:00pm with a short bedtime potty break around 9:00pm (sometimes earlier or later depending on how late we're up!) As Aldo has gotten older, he generally prefers shorter walks/hikes, but I am always flexible to make the length and difficulty of walks match your pets' needs. Aldo is crate-trained, and I still have a spare large crate to use if needed. Safety is my biggest concern, especially because he will get into any crumbs or trash can if given the opportunity. I have a security cam set up in my home that I check remotely to make sure pets are doing well throughout the day. I do not have multiple pets out in the living areas together when unsupervised, unless they're very familiar with one another.

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I've been pet sitting since I was a freshman in high school. Over the years, I've cared for pets with a wide range of personalities, needs, and routines. I genuinely love spending time with animals and strive to provide dependable, attentive care that helps pets feel comfortable and gives owners peace of mind. Whether it's playtime, walks, feeding, or simply providing companionship, I'll treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own. I am currently available seven days a week and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care for your pets at all times! I live in a spacious condo in The Reserve in Oxford, which provides plenty of room for pets to feel comfortable and at home. While my backyard is not fenced, it offers a large open area for supervised outdoor time, and I currently have no immediate neighbors, creating a quiet environment for pets to enjoy. Inside, there is ample space for dogs and cats to relax, play, and move around freely based on their individual personalities and comfort levels. I also have experience caring for pets in my home, including housing and caring for one of my roommate's dogs for an extended period this past May. Whether your pet enjoys being active outdoors, playing inside, or simply relaxing in a calm environment, I am committed to providing a safe, attentive, and loving experience that helps them feel comfortable while you're away.

About: I’ve helped take care of all kinds of animals since I was a child. Birds, bunnies, dogs, cats: I love them all and they all seem to love me, I’ve even been called an animal whisperer before. I have a cat of my own now and I often take care of my neighbors dogs. I am a current Ole Miss graduate student conducting research in Biology. My schedule is very flexible, and can accommodate random drop-ins if need be, but I am also available for regularly scheduled visits! Your animals safety comes first, and will always be prioritized! I would love to take your furry friend on their favorite walking path, or to their favorite dog park, or keep them entertained away from other animals if necessary!

I enjoy being active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets fits naturally into my week. I always make sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they need to feel comfortable and happy. I’m available most weekends and M-F afternoons! About: What sets me apart is the combination of hands-on daycare experience and genuine, day-to-day pet parenting. With almost three years of working at a doggie daycare, I’ve learned how to handle dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I’m experienced in reading dog behavior, managing group play safely, and responding calmly and confidently in any situation. Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. I’m used to following a consistent routine from working at a doggie daycare and caring for my own dogs. Each day typically starts with feeding, walks, and making sure the pets get some exercise. Throughout the day, I check in on them regularly, give them attention, and handle any special needs or medications. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and included in my daily routine. I provide a clean space, regular feeding times, plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and lots of affection. I monitor their behavior closely, keep them on a predictable schedule, and make sure they always have access to water, a cozy place to rest, and supervised playtime. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as familiar as possible. I follow the feeding schedule you provide, handle any medications, take them on walks or give them playtime, and make sure they feel calm and secure while you’re away. I also keep your home tidy, send updates, and make sure your pet feels cared for in the environment they’re most comfortable in. No matter the location, my goal is to give pets consistent attention, structure, and love just like I do with my own.

About: I’ve been working with animals since I was little and have grown up on a farm around a wide range of animals. Living on a farm taught me responsibility, patience, and how to care for animals with different personalities and needs. I currently work at Pampered Paws and volunteer at animal shelters, giving me hands-on experience with both cats and dogs. I aspire to become a veterinarian, so I truly love every opportunity to care for animals. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I am currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies. I also have a very flexible schedule so I am able to change things around to accommodate you. I also ensure that my calendar is up to date so I can be confident that I can give your dogs all the love and attention they deserve. In my clients’ homes, I always respect the routines, rules, and boundaries they set so their pets can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I make sure to ask detailed questions about each pet’s schedule, behavior, preferences, and any special care needs so I can provide the best care possible. Safety and trust are very important to me, and I always treat both pets and homes with respect. In my own home, I follow the same approach by creating a safe, clean, and calm environment for every pet in my care. My goal is always to make pets feel comfortable, loved, and stress-free while their owners are away.

About: Ive been around animals my whole life and have had and cared for all types of dogs and cats. I’ve helped out friends, family, and neighbors with everything from walks and feeding to overnight stays. I’m good with puppies, high-energy dogs, and older pets that need a little extra care. I’m super reliable and will make sure your pet feels comfortable and taken care of while you’re gone. I’m currently doing online school and working at the country club once or twice a week for a few hours so I’m home the majority of the day and have a super flexible schedule. My boyfriend who I live with is also always in and out regardless of his schedule so one of us is pretty much always home! I have two supper friendly and well trained dogs I consider my children. I crate trained my dogs as puppies but don’t use them anymore and let them on the couch and sleep in the bed, but would follow whatever rules you have for your pets in your home.

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. Growing up I had three dogs, one being a labrador, a golden retriever and a plot hound for 16 years. My three dogs I had since they were puppies till they were seniors one was 21 years old. One was 11 and one was 16 when they passed. Now I have two pit terriers that I have had for three years now. I grew up, always taking care of them. And taking care of my friends and neighbors dogs all throughout the years if they went out of town on a vacation or if they were just gone for the weekend I would visit and take care of them for the time being. I have taken care of a bunch of cats as well, because my friends and family have many. I have a lot of experience with taking dogs on walks especially big dogs. My three dogs were almost all 70 to 80 pounds and I would take all three of them on walks at the same time. I really enjoy being around animals and being able to take care of them. As of right now I am not working so my schedule is very flexible and I can accommodate almost every day of the week. Time or day that you need depending on your schedule, just let me know and we can definitely work something out. Right now I do live at an apartment which does not allow animals. So the space is not animal friendly at the moment. But I am working on finding a more friendly space.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
