About: I have been around dogs literally my whole life. I don't remember a time since I was born that I didn't have a dog. From sleeping on our pit bull as a toddler to rescuing a shelter baby to keep me company at college dogs have been an amazing part of my story. I'd even like to think that because of my fur babies I was more prepared to taken on the new journey of becoming a parent of an amazing little girl. Because of these experiences, I have learned many things about not only catering to a variety of personalities, but being creative in entertainment and time management. With these skills and all the added free time I have now that my daughter has started school I can assure you that not only will I be easily accessible for your needs, but I will make sure that you and your pet are sure to have a comfortable and enjoyable time using my services.

About: I am from Colombia and there I had the opportunity to work with him, in a family veterinarian where I learned a lot. Here in the United States I have been taking care of dogs and cats at home several times. It is important, since animals are part of my life and always will be, I also dream of one day having the money to be able to give a good life to several animals that currently live in a shelter. I keep them company, I sing to them, I play with them, I walk them, when they sleep in my house I always make them comfortable and I am aware of all their behavior, especially because I know they miss their owners.

Madison was extremely helpful with my Maverick. Not only did she accommodate pick up and drop off times, but she was also able to sense Maverick was overwhelmed on the first day, and took the time to get to know him. By the second day, he was much more relaxed with her and Benji, so I know he was in good hands. Would definitely recommend and book again. Thanks, Madison!

About: Hi, I'm dependable, stay-at-home dog lover who provides a safe, fun, and loving environment for you're pup while you're away. I've had dogs my whole life, including two yellow labs who lived long, happy lives (15 and 12 years old.) I currently have a friendly 1-year old yellow lab who love's new friends to play with! I have another red fox lab coming soon- June 2026! Because I'm home full-time, your pup will get plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day- no long periods alone. We have a large, fully fenced backyard where the dogs can run and play safely. Our days are filled with fun activities like pool time, agility play, fetch, and lots of love and interaction. Your pup will be treated like family in our clean, non-smoking home, with plenty of space to relax and feel comfortable. I'm happy to follow your dog's routine, feeding schedule, and any specific instructions to make sure they feel right at home. If you're looking for a safe, fun, and attentive place for your pup to stay, I'd love to care of them! ❤️ I can only take 3 dogs per day for daycare and for boarding. I can only take dogs that are up to date on vaccines as I am having a new 8 week old puppy joining our family in June 2026. I will ask that you please provide me with a copy of vaccines. I only accept dogs that are spayed/ neutered Pups that are 8 months old or younger are accepted. Please note; Per my homeowners insurance, I cannot accept the following: Pitbul/ Pitbul mix Rottweiler Doberman German Sheppards Chow Chow I would love for your dog to become of our pack! As much as I love dogs, people are asking if their dogs can sleep in my room and on my bed. For the safety of all dogs that are boarding, I require that they are in a crate or in a kennel at night.

I’ll provide love & a safe environment—your pet will be in great hands we me! Details : All pet water is filtered. I'm great with all animals of all sizes. I've had dogs, cats, and fish, and I get along with them all. I'm sure that your fur, feathered, scaled, or finned family and I - will be great friends. I mostly board and sit with some walks and drop-ins. Mostly depending on the timing. Reach out for special needs and requests. While not trained professionally - I can also help with some behavioral issues. I'd love to meet your pet family. Work from home professional. Single father. I have my daughter every other week and I have a dog that can be kept completely separate if needed. I also have plenty of dog toys that are okay to be beaten up. Gates in-house to control pet location. Allowed to get on furniture and bed. We have a big comfy dog bed as well. Two litter boxes are available. Just ask that you bring food, any special toy, litter for cats, and any medicines. I have two tie-out leads for dogs and a shady backyard that is fenced in. Our neighborhood is quiet and great for walks. I usually board at my home in Nashville (Near Rocky Mount and Spring Hope) but I also have a location in Raleigh that is also a big home with a large backyard and two separate floors. For sitting, I would likely stay with the pet most of the day as I work remotely.I do require high-speed internet access and preferably a decent work desk area. I will work on any behavioral issues that I see in the time that I have. Let me know if you have a question! I work from home and typically do boarding in either Raleigh or Nashville, NC. I have my daughter every other week but she is great with animals also. Takes after her dad. Prefer a little notice but will always try to accommodate last minute requests. I have the ability to keep multiple pets. I have a large fenced in back yard at both locations. Both are single family homes with lots of space. Gates and seperate areas if pets need to be separated. We can also accommodate requests for no other animals be present, however I am great at acclimating animals with each other. Even ones that do not tend to play nice with others. Always up to you in the end. I have muzzels and a Kennel at both homes (if needed) , cat litter boxes at both locations as well. Leases safety collars , and for a small added fee , daily health tracking during the stay with a special collar monitor tracking device that I have. About: Taken care of dogs of various sizes from little Chihuahua's to Great Dane's and Mastiffs. We have a big fenced in back yard to run around in and live in a quiet neighborhood. I'm currently doing online schooling and taking care of my kids, which keeps me at the house all day anyway. I have plenty of time to deliver attention and belly rubs all days of the week including weekends. Within my big fenced yard, and a spacious house me and my gentle senior doggy can play and enjoy leisure time with your furry baby while you are away. If there are any particular diet or care that needs to be followed, it can also be done if you provide the appropriate consumables. "High energy" or "couch potato" dogs wont be disappointed during the stay. Also, if your doggy wants to, they can go for a 3 mile run with me is they are in custom of being a good running companion.

About: I have experience taking care of all types of dogs. I grew up with a boxer, German shepherd, shih tzu and mutt. I currently have a terrier mix who is super energetic and playful who would love to have another dog to play with. I'm currently a student and spend most of my time at home. My dog would love to have a companion for my long study days. I live in an apartment and therefore don't have a backyard, but there is plenty of grassy area outside of my apartment. I will walk your dog often around my neighborhood or at the greenway. Dogs are allowed on the furniture unless this is something you don't want.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Tarboro

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 80 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Tarboro. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Tarboro commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 80 sitters in Tarboro, 93% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
