Ashley and Michael were incredible. We were super late getting back from our event and they were super accommodating. Thin Mint was properly tired out and ready for bed by the time we picked him up. Great experience, I will definitely be bringing Thin Mint back!

This was our first time leaving our puppy and we were really nervous about it. But Ashley made us feel comfortable and at ease from the get go. Our little guy seemed completely calm and worn out from a fun day when we picked him up. Would definitely use Ashley again.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, and more. I currently have two dogs and understand that every pet has their own personality, energy level, and routine so I tailor their care to match. I offer more than just boarding. Your pet can enjoy structured walks, trail hikes, enrichment play, drop-ins, bathing, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I’m also experienced with administering medications, so you can feel confident your pet is fully cared for. Your pet will be part of a calm, loving home with my two animal-savvy kids (15 & 11), getting real family attention, not just supervision. Whether your pet needs adventure, playtime or snuggles, I’ve got them covered. You’ll get regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing they’re safe, happy, and loved. I’m home full time and ready to spend the day doing what your pet loves the most. Whether that means fetch at the park, an adventurous hike, or Petflix and chill, we’ll make the most of our time together. I have a fully fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your pets company. Your pets will have plenty of options when it comes to getting cozy and comfortable. If your pets feel more secure in a crate of their own, I’m happy to provide space for that too.

About: I have offered sitting services for the past 12 years for family and friends. Looking to expand my small business. I will provide play time, walking, and feeding on the pups or kitty’s schedule. I work full time in a hybrid situation so your fur baby will possibly need to be alone for part of the day. I recently moved to a new position that requires me to go in office at times during the weekdays. Weekends, later afternoons, evening, overnights and most holidays, will be free to be available to stay full time with pet or pets. I have experience with other animals also such as Ducks, Chickens, Fish and reptiles. Please let me know if you require these services. Price will depend on care instructions. I try to be as flexible and reasonable with these costs. I work well dogs who have separation anxiety and need the comfort of a human most of the day. My pets are part of the family and yours will be treated as a member of the household during their stay. If I tend at your home will my small dog be permitted to be with me? I do ask that you please advise me prior to the sit if it’s not in dogs or cats best interest for him to be there.. While my lil pup is never far from momma, we understand either way.

About: Before I was even able to walk pets have been my passion! I started grooming my grandmother's poodles and Maltese mixes at 8 years old and became quite good at it. Later in life I worked at a grooming salon with both dogs and cats. My most recent job was at a veterinary emergency hospital, where I learned a LOT about animal safety, as well as animal behavior and first aid. I plan on returning to work in the veterinary field once my little one is older. I've been the proud owner of all kinds of breeds of dogs, cat, gerbils and reptiles. I have trained my own dogs since they were puppies and have also owned senior dogs and dogs with disabilities, including paralysis and wheelchair users. I grew up with dogs that needed consistant oral medication as well as a diabetic dog that I would give insulin injections to daily. My husband is absolutely wonderful with animals and loves them as well, however I will be their main caretaker. We both strive to make sure youre satisfied with your pets care. My goal is to keep your animals in a safe and loving environment so that you don't need to worry about them while away. It's hard leaving your pets, but I hope that I can help ease that difficulty by gaining your trust and giving you a secure temporary home for your fur babies. I currently stay at home with my baby, my schedule is open all week at any time. My husband also works from home, so we are both always home. We have a large, fenced backyard that our two dogs love playing in. We have a black lab and a medium sized mixed breed Staffordshire Terrier. They're both trained, dog friendly and cat friendly. We also have two cats that are both cat and dog friendly. Our cats are not allowed outside. Our home is separated with two gates at each end of the staircase leading upstairs. Cats and smaller dogs are welcome both up and downstairs (whichever they prefer). Our own pups, both being a bit bigger, have everything they need on the first level, which is generally where we are. We have a 5 year old, which you can see in our photos, who has always been taught to treat animals with respect. He is well aware of animal behavior and safety. We also have a 7 month old. New animals in our home will never be left unattended with our animals to ensure safety. Your pet will never be left home unattended as either my husband or I are always here.

Connie is such a sweetheart who took such great care of my sweet little boy. He’s lived a life and can be nervous in new places, but her sweet self and her fun little pup Patty helped Toby settle right in and enjoy a fun filled day! I’m excited to rebook with Connie to help my little guy get more comfortable in our new town!!

Julie has been taking care of my dog Calvin for a few months now and I couldn't be happier with her care. Calvin is always excited about getting to her house, seeing her and playing with her dog Max. He comes home happy and exhausted after all the shenanigans and love he received during the day. I recommend Julie a 1000%, she's flexible and always willing to help my crazy hours.

About: I am first aid and CPR certified in animals. I have experience in a vet office, daycare, boarding, and grooming. I know how to administer vaccinations and also diabetic insulin shots. Your pet(s) will always come first. I have many references as well. Feel free to ask any and all questions. I believe animals are a part of our family and I will do anything it takes to make sure the animals are healthy and happy. I don't discriminate against any breeds whatsoever. I was a supervisor at a daycare, grooming and boarding facility. I am medically obsessed with dogs and love cats as well. I don't mind taking care of other exotic pets as well. You will never have to worry about the safety of your animals when they are in my hands. Caring for animals is a natural part of my daily life—it doesn’t feel like a task, it feels like joy! I build my schedule around pet care to ensure every pet gets the attention, playtime, and care they deserve. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I can provide consistent, timely visits and adapt easily to your pet’s routine. Whether it’s morning feedings, midday walks, evening meds, or just extra snuggles, I’m happy to make their comfort and happiness my priority. In my home or yours, pets are treated like family. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where they feel secure and comfortable. I follow each pet’s routine closely—whether that means specific feeding times, administering medications, play sessions, or quiet time. I’m patient with shy or anxious pets and attentive to details like changes in behavior or appetite. In a client’s home, I respect your space and routines, keeping everything clean and tidy while giving your pets the consistent care they’re used to. I love sending updates and photos so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away.

About: I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals, and that’s shaped me into someone who shows up for them especially the ones who can’t advocate for themselves. Over the years I’ve helped stray cats, done dog runs for rescues, participated in pulling dogs from kill shelters, and volunteered at local organizations where I take neglected or anxious dogs out for walks and hikes to help them decompress. Caring for animals isn’t a hobby for me; it’s something I’ve always felt responsible for. What sets me apart from other sitters is the combination of hands-on experience, patience, and calm confidence with animals of all backgrounds. I’m comfortable with puppies who need structure, senior pets who require a gentler approach, and animals who come with trauma or nervous behaviors. I pay attention to body language, adjust my pace to each pet’s comfort level, and make sure they feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. Your pet won’t just be looked after, they’ll be treated with the same compassion and commitment I bring to every animal I’ve ever helped. Caring for others is already at the center of my life. I work full time taking care of my three little kids, and I build my days around making sure my kids and animals get the attention, structure, and care they need. When I’m looking after an animal, they’re fully integrated into that routine, whether that means feeding, walks, playtime, quiet time, or any special instructions you have. I have a genuine passion for helping those who need a little extra support, so I’m used to adjusting my schedule to meet each animal where they are. Whatever your pet requires, I make sure it fits smoothly into the flow of my day so they feel safe, cared for, and part of the family while they’re with me. When I care for pets in my home, they have plenty of space and stimulation throughout the day. I have a large fenced yard where they can run, play, and explore safely. There are always toys and treats available, and my two friendly dogs provide great company for any visiting pup. My three kids also love helping out and make sure your fur child gets lots of attention. I focus on maintaining a safe, comfortable, and structured environment that helps each pet feel at ease. I will follow your instructions closely feeding schedules, routines, quirks, and any special needs so your pet’s routine stays consistent.

About: I've been caring for animals since I was a kid—whether it was walking neighborhood dogs, pet sitting for friends and family, or volunteering with rescues. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes, temperaments, and special needs, and I always treat every pet like they’re my own. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I care for my own pets every day, so adding a few more furry friends to the mix fits right in! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable care throughout the week, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Syracuse on Rover is $31.08 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,008 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Syracuse. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Syracuse commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,008 sitters in Syracuse, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
