Kiana has been a genuine gift to our family. We started with her about six months ago for our 14-year-old miniature schnauzer/French bulldog mix, Lucy — and over that time she became so much more than a dog walker. As Lucy’s health declined, Kiana adapted without hesitation — adjusting pace, duration, and handling — and never made us feel like we were asking too much. What stands out most is how much she genuinely cared. You can tell the difference between someone who likes dogs and someone who sees your dog. Kiana saw Lucy. She was patient with her on the slow days, gentle when Lucy needed it most, and flexible with our schedules in ways that took real stress off our family during a really hard season. We’re grateful as a family for every walk she gave our girl. If you have a senior dog or one with changing needs, Kiana is exactly who you want in your corner.

5/5, 10/10, 100/100 - Damn she's good! Dashia knows just how to handle Bowzer... After a long hard walk with her, it's nap time! :) When life gets busy, but your little fella still needs a good, long, and rewarding romp in the hills, there's nobody better than Dashia!

Once again another happy dog and owner. Booked a 1 hr walk but the weather turned crappy fast. Traylor and Jason had great communication with me and Traylor still wanted to give my dog a full hour! They did half walk/half car ride and it worked out perfect! Opal looks so happy Thanks so much! I am glad they watch out for Opal like she is their own!

I’ve used Kara for walks and boarding for my two dogs. Due to being a single dog mom with little access to help from friends or family, finding Kara has been a blessing! She handles my pups so well! She even has brought in packages on my porch if I’m not home. She goes above and beyond!

About: I’m a lifelong dog‑and‑cat lover who’s owned up to four dogs at once and would absolutely own a zoo if society would let me. I’ve got tons of experience with dog walks, overnight care, and keeping both dogs and cats happy, fed, and loved. Your pets will be treated like family! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’m home full‑time and already surrounded by animals and little animal‑lovers. I have two kids under three who absolutely adore pets, so giving dogs and cats attention, playtime, and love is part of our everyday rhythm. As a lifelong pet owner who has cared for up to four dogs at once, I know how important it is to make your pets feel like family. Your fur babies will get the same consistency, affection, and care they’re used to at home. In my home, pets get a safe, comfortable, and flexible environment. I have separate wings of the house where I can keep dogs or cats separated if needed, and a very large fenced‑in backyard with plenty of room to roam, sniff, and play. I also have two large crates available for pups who need or prefer crate time. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your routines! To include feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions!:) So your pets feel secure and comfortable. I’m home full‑time, and my two kids (both under three) absolutely adore animals, so giving pets attention and love is part of our daily rhythm. As a lifelong pet owner, I know how important it is to make your pets feel like family, and that’s exactly how I care for them.

About: I've been caring for animals since I was a kid—whether it was walking neighborhood dogs, pet sitting for friends and family, or volunteering with rescues. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes, temperaments, and special needs, and I always treat every pet like they’re my own. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I care for my own pets every day, so adding a few more furry friends to the mix fits right in! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable care throughout the week, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Whether it’s drop-ins, walks, or extended stays, I make sure each pet gets the time and attention they deserve. I treat your home and pets with the utmost respect and care. I follow your instructions closely to keep your pets comfortable, safe, and on their usual routine. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, administering medication if needed, and of course—plenty of love and attention. I keep things clean and tidy, and I’m happy to send regular updates so you can relax knowing your pets are in good hands.

About: 🐾 New to Rover, Not to Pet Care! Hi, I’m Shelby! 👋 Although I’m new to Rover, I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for 12+ years. From playful puppies to senior pets and those with special needs, I provide patient, reliable care tailored to each pet’s unique personality and routine. ❤️ As a Direct Support Professional, caring for others is what I do every day. You can count on me to be dependable, attentive, and treat your pets like family. ✨ What you can expect: 🐶 12+ years of pet care experience 💊 Medication administration 🐾 Experience with puppies, seniors & special needs 📸 Frequent photo updates 🚶 Walks, playtime & enrichment 💙 Lots of love, cuddles, and personalized care I know leaving your pet with someone new can feel overwhelming. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and right at home. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family! 🐕🐈 I work full time swings typically 3p-10/12p it varies during the week. When I’m not working I’m a home body so your pets will have company with them most of the morning. I do know my schedule usually a month in advance so I am able to let you know before you officially book and you can decide if it works for you. I prefer to stay in their home which allows them to stay comfortable and in their own environment, new places can cause fur babies unnecessary stress and no one wants that. I prefer to keep their routine as normal as possible as well so if they get fed at 5 am I set an alarm to ensure they get fed at their normal time as well.

About: I have been watching dogs for around 6 years and have been reliable to many clients to take the best care of their animals. I usually walk the animals along with spending the night if needed and will spend long hours with the pets. I currently am a full time student at Weber so in the evenings I have a lot of free time. I don’t have any set times or days so I can work around schedules pretty easily. I have a fenced backyard and a doggy door so my dogs can roam around freely as they please. I take one of my dogs on walks and the other one I play fetch with to make sure they get exercise they need.

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
