“Aurora was amazing and the absolute best! She was very responsive, welcoming, and my dog had the best time with her and Paco. Not only are we from out of state, but we made this last-minute booking, which she was quick to respond to and confirm. We truly appreciate her willingness and kindness. She gave us complete peace of mind so my partner and I could fully enjoy our last day of vacation knowing our dog was in the best hands. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

“I highly recommend Valerie. This was my first time using Rover and was apprehensive about leaving our fur baby with someone I didn't know. Not only did she take wonderful care of Brea but she sent multiple pictures showing us how her day was going. When you meet Valerie you can see how passionate she is with the animals she cares for. Valerie is very welcoming, and after meeting her you will feel like shes a good friend you have had most of your life.”

“Katrina was wonderful! She took such great care of my dog and kept me updated the whole time. I could tell my dog was happy and well cared for. Highly recommend her! 💕”

“Aaron is amazing!! Our girls loved being with him and his family. He went above and beyond by providing super detailed info about their walk breaks and if they peeped or pooped. But the absolute BEST part was his super artistic photos of the girls!!! Works of art!!”

About: A Brazilian living in Panama City Beach, Fl who loves animals. Your pet will be pampered and loved. I've always had animals at home and I love taking care of them. Let's have a lot of fun together! This is my main job. I dedicate myself all week to taking care of animals. I organize my routine according to my schedule. Waiting for you! I provide personalized service according to the customer's needs. In the first contact, I talk to find out more information about the pet. It is very important to know each one's routine.
“Daniela was wonderful with our shy and timid pup. She sent us lots of photos and updates throughout the day that really put us at ease. She was also very understanding when I had train trouble and was late picking him up. Our pup is looking forward to his next visit with Daniela!”

About: I've grown up with dogs almost my entire life, and I have nearly a decade of experience as a kennel worker at a pet resort. As a dog owner, pet care is a part of my daily routine. For me, it's almost instinct. Family isn't a question of blood or legal relation; it's who you live and grow up with. If you have only one animal, you probably have a reason; I can keep them away from other animals(domestic or wild) if required. I know that pets need constant supervision, like a toddler, but with better hair. I will make sure they get breakfast and dinner(and lunch, if they get lunch), potty time every couple hours, and exercise(walks and play). I will also clean up after them, and hide meds in food if necessary.
“Abbey did a great job taking care of our baby Zeus. We worked with her 2 days straight and thanks to her we were able to enjoy Panama City with and without Zeus.”

“This was our very first experience with Rover. We brought our two fur babies with us to PCB. We had rescued our second just two weeks prior, which didn't give us any plan time once we got to PCB. Lyudmila was quick to respond. We agreed on details and she made everything go smoothly. She and her husband even came to pick both of them up on the first day. We got frequent updates and pics. We would definitely use her again!”

“Jessie was able to watch our two dogs last minute. Our dogs loved the pool and back yard. It was the perfect place for our dogs while we did beach stuff. I highly recommend Jessie for doggy daycare”

“This was my dogs first visit for a day of doggie daycare. He is a puppy and needs some extra care. I was able to get updates during his visit and was able to communicate well with Ms. Ashton regarding pick up and drop off. My puppy is very active and got a lot of outside playtime. He was tired when I picked him up which a good thing. I am hoping this socialization helps him in other interactions with dogs and humans as well.”

“LAN was wonderful to work with and we really can feel that she cares about our pups! For this stay they camped out at her house while we had contractors doing work. They reported back it was fun and relaxing! 😎”

About: I’ve cared for and have loved animals of all sizes and kinds since I can remember. I grew up taking care of 20+ horses on a farm and always having multiple dogs. I spent over 2 years working at a dog boarding & day care facility and believe I have allot of experience with fur babies of all kinds and find so much joy in caring for them! I'm a stay at home mama and work evenings at a day care 4-8pm 4 days a week. I can be available for as many let outs and cuddles your pup may need! Any schedule you have for your fur baby I would be more than happy to implement so your pup can feel most at home! If possible, drop off/pick up times would preferably be before 3PM or after 8PM Monday-Thursday and anytime Friday-Sunday. I’m an animal lover and would love to take care of your pup! I have a large fenced yard and a sweet female cockapoodle named Sophia! She loves other pups and doesn't meet a stranger! We would love to welcome your fur baby to stay with us wether it’s for the day or the night!
About: I've had a special place in my heart for dogs since I was a kid. I was the designated puppy trainer, groomer, and bestie for our family pups growing up. I have my own sweet mini labradoodle, Lainey, who loves company! I've helped with family and friends' pets my whole life, and I'm excited to have a new schedule these days that allows me to help out pet parents on Rover. I currently study from home, so I have plenty of time for your pup! I don't have any obligations away from home, so if your pup needs a little extra attention, feel free to say so, and I'll accommodate the best I can. I have a roomy apartment and a screened-in porch. When we're not on walks or at the park, my pup loves hanging out on the porch with the fans on for some fresh air (door to the inside kept cracked open). My apartment is toddler-proofed and safe, and I'm always around to keep an eye on your pup. We have plenty of chew toys, treats, and fun to go around :)
“Dana was so wonderfully accommodating when we were on vacation with our dogs. We messed up schedules for an outting and didn't have a place to take the dogs. She was so sweet with our sweet babies. So thankful for her”
“We brought our 6 month old puppy to the beach with us and she barked like crazy in her kennel. I reached out to Lucia on Rover and she was quick to respond. She kept our girl (Harper) for us at her house while we enjoyed a beach day. I know Harper enjoyed her time with Lucia and we are so so thankful for her! I could tell within 2 minutes of meeting her she was a safe space for our dog and I was able to enjoy the beach knowing Harper was in the best hands!! We will be using her every summer!”

Great pet caretaker! Boomer seemed very comfortable with Aurora which gave me a good feeling knowing there was someone I felt he was safe with. I will definitely reach out to Aurora for future pet care and am very thankful for her special care of my treasured fur baby.

Aurora kept my 2 dogs, one of which is on the nervous anxious side . Her assuring manner went over well with me as well as my dog. She texted and sent pics couple hrs after my leaving showing they had adapted . I appreciated the reassurance. My reservation was also rather last minute and she was very accommodating to my hrs . We dropped off at 9 and didn’t p:u till 6 . I will definitely recommend her and use again when in area .

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Sunnyside commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
