About: I've spent years living with and caring for pets—mostly cats, but I’ve also helped friends and family with dogs of all ages. I had a family cat for several years (she now lives with my sister at college!) and currently live with a roommate who has a cat, so I’m always surrounded by animals and understand how to meet their needs with patience and care. I am a masters student at Cal Poly Humboldt this year. During the school year my availability is generally after 5pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and familiar environment. I stick closely to your pet’s usual routine—feeding times, play sessions, litter box care, and any medications or special instructions you provide. I know how sensitive cats can be to change, so I aim to keep their day-to-day life as consistent and comforting as possible.

About: I have been taking care of pets for a long time. I have had my own pets since I was young and have been taking care of other peoples’ pets for around five years. I have experience taking care of dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and fish. I have a fairly open schedule and can make sure your pet is getting the care and attention that they need to be happy and healthy. About: I've been raising service dogs for Canine Companions since 2016! I have experience with puppies aged 2 months and up. I've been best friends with a GSD for the past almost 5 years! I'm very patient and understanding with anxious and stressed dogs due to my experience with my pup. I'm currently full availble for the summer, but will be a full time student starting in early August. I've got classes all day Mondays and Wednesdays, and I host studio hours on Saturdays. I'm very comfortable with crating dogs and walking high energy dogs. My dog is a runner and tries to escape, so I'm very familiar with keeping a close eye on dogs that are a little too excited!

On her second stay, we had some unexpected behavior issues with one of our rescue dogs, who managed to dart out the door (not her fault at all—he’s a handful!). About: I have years of experience working with pets and have been caring for pets of all kinds from a young age. People were always outnumbered by pets in my household. I have had the pleasure of expanding my experience with animals as I have worked for the past two years as a nanny/farmhand. In that position I have worked with dogs, cats, goats, chickens and even a sassy young miniature donkey. I am lucky enough to have my best friend living locally who worked as a veterinary technician for several years and is always available for medical advice! My work days extend Mondays through Friday for 6-8 hour stretches depending on the day. My schedule allows for plenty of time to walk and play with your pets before 9am and after 4pm with additional opportunity for brief check-ins/ potty breaks on M/W/F as my work is flexible those days allowing me to be mobile and pop by if needed. For the comfort of your pets, I am more than willing to stay with them at their own home for the duration of the job. I do have a sweet 9 year old Belgian shepherd mix who she gets along wonderfully with other animals and would love to join me to provide an additional social aspect to the visit if you wish or I can come solo. Totally depending on your preference!

About: I own a 7 acre property that is a short drive up Fickle Hill Rd in Arcata! It includes a private trail with access to the community forest and a very large fenced in yard. I have a 1 year old female German Shepherd (Sabine) who is very well trained and LOVES to play with other dogs. I’ve been working with animals my entire life but started officially dog sitting and walking about 10 years ago! I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and personalities and feel comfortable and confident in my care abilities. Locally I have done in home care both long term and short term. Now that I have this large property I would like to do more of a doggy day care! I am capable of providing training, grooming, as well as daily exercise and enrichment activities! I am free Monday - Thursday every week as I work from home as a ceramic artist. On the weekends (Friday - Sunday) I work as a waitress. I offer care from my home where I have a very large fenced in yard with plenty of space to run around and enjoy the outdoors. As well as a large dog friendly home for those rainy days. All plants and trees on the property are dog safe! I also have a private trail that is connected to the community forest trails where I take Sabine (my dog) for daily walks. Sabine also loves the beach so we do take weekly trips out to the dunes in Samoa! I’m a dog lover and feel that I am very attuned to understanding the way they communicate. Your dog will look forward to playing around the property and spending time in the forest with Sabine and I!

About: I have been a sitter for 4 years for friends and neighbors. My care has included walking, potty breaks, overnight care, and more! I’ve lived with Dobermans my whole life and am capable of care for any dog of any size! I am a full time student at Cal Poly humboldt, my classes are in the morning and I am completely open in afternoons, weekends and holidays! I am active and love to play with animals!! My dogs at home are escape artists so I know how to avoid an escape due to fences. I have kennel trained multiple of my dogs and prefer to use kennels for bigger dogs.
