About: Hello! I have been involved in fostering animals for many rescues for over 15 years. I have fostered well over 150 puppies and dogs and over 80 kittens and cats. I have worked with dogs and cats from birth and up. I have experience with ill animals, seniors, and stubborn ones! My children have grown up helping foster and are very use to animals being in home and how to properly interact and treat animals. I have worked with animals of all ages and sizes through rescue, tiny toy breeds up to big mastiffs and bully breeds. We love them all! I provide great communication throughout your pets stay, updates and photo/videos. I am home all day and can give the animals proper attention and time. Walking, play time, snuggles, potty time, can bottle feed, grooming etc! We have a fenced in play area in the back yard and love to take walks around the neighborhood. I have space to bring your own crate if needed. Nursing moms and puppies are kept privately in my room away from others for comfort and peace. Being home helps me be able to stick to your routine with your pets, being let out, meds if needed and eating at the same times as they would at home.
“Corey was absolutely amazing with George and Bosun! From the moment we met him, I felt confident they were in great hands. He was reliable, caring, and kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that George and Bosun were comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Coming home to two relaxed, content dogs meant everything to me. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Corey again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable Rover sitter!”

“Wonderful!! Can't say enough good stuff about Tina. She's a sweetheart and loved my Bernie and she loved Tina. They had a good day with no issues so I was able to travel to Jacksonville for Dr appointments. Tina arrived bright and early ask planned and was very patient about our long day away. Bernie, Mom & Dad love Tina E!”

About: I've spent my entire life surrounded by animals. Cats, dogs, bunnies, and fish. You name it! It was like growing up with LOTS of brothers and sisters! Even my first job was in the animal field - at a petting farm :D. Animals are truly the best therapists, friends, and snugglers. I even got my pet first aid certification. Not only for my pets, but for yours too! I currently have a part time job so I have tons of extra play time for your babies. my availability is pretty open and flexible. So feel free to reach out if you have any questions or want to work something out! I like to do pet sitting in my clients home so the animals can be in a familiar environment. Many fur babies find themselves anxious when their owners go away. So to minimize that fear, I like to have them in their natural environment with all the sounds, smells, and surroundings they're used to. I also like to do meet and greets ahead of time to make sure all parties are fully comfortable and assured! :)
About: I approach all walks of life with an open heart and love. Because of this I believe all critters seek out my affections and makes for fun interactions. I am currently at a cross road in life and looking for new situations that are more fulfilling. I absolutely enjoy spending my time with four legged friends. I have a mostly private fenced in yard with plenty of room for running and playing. I also can provide crates and segregated spots for our friends that need their own space or maybe a little to shy.
“Carter took great care of my boys. They aren’t the easiest (one doesn’t like strangers or other dogs and the other has separation anxiety and both are big and needy) but from the moment he met them, they were buddies. He left the house in clean and kept me informed on how they were doing while I was away. Will definitely book with him again and we are so thankful we found him.”

“We loved having Kelcey pet sit our Pup Zena. She gave Zena all the special care that she needed with being an older dog. When Zena didn’t want to go out after a long day, Kelcey picked her up and got her outside. She gave her a ton of loving and is very trustworthy. Will definitely book again as long as we still have Zena. Thank you again, The Gregory’s”

“Becca was amazing! Apollo absolutely adored her. I was really nervous to leave him and she made everything so easy. Very kind person who is definitely a dog whisperer. I’ll reach out again 🥰”

“Jennifer stayed four nights with my three dogs. She was responsive and provided regular updates and photos. My pets were happy and well cared for, and my home was nice and clean when I returned. I definitely will use her again in the future!”

“Bryanna is fantastic! We’ve never felt so relieved in knowing that we have a person we can fully trust and rely on with our pups. We have a senior dog and a puppy. That combo can be a bit overwhelming, but Bryanna was able to handle them effortlessly. We know we will be reaching out to her again in the future!”

“Carol was great. Apollo has severe anxiety during thunderstorms and she took care of him. Gave him his medication and cuddled with him to make him feel safe. She played with him and took him on short walks. She asked questions when needed and sent us pictures daily. I highly recommend Carol. She treated Apollo like he was her own. We already have her booked for a second time.”

About: I know what it's like to hand your dog over to someone else — that flicker of worry, even when you trust them. Our dogs aren't just pets. They're family. They greet us at the door like we've been gone for years, they curl up next to us on the hard days, and they love us without any conditions at all. Trusting someone else with that is not a small thing. So here's what I want you to know: when I'm with your dog, I'm not just watching them — I'm watching out for them. Every walk, every outing, every minute we spend together, I take seriously. Not because it's a job, but because I know exactly what it means to love a dog like family, and I know what it means to be the one responsible for them when you can't be. My goal isn't just to keep your dog safe. It's to give you real peace of mind — so that wherever you are, you can stop thinking about whether they're okay, and just know they are. Loved, looked after, and genuinely cared for, the same way I'd want someone to care for mine. Your fur baby is in good hands. I won't take that lightly. More information about me: Dogs have been part of my life since I was 10 years old, when I got my first German Shepherd Dog puppy named Storm. I built him a pen in the laundry room — and slept in there with him for weeks, just to keep him company. That was the start of it. Since then, I've owned and raised about a dozen German Shepherd Dogs, and I've trained dozens of dogs over the years for myself, friends, and family. Today my pack is three: my two German Shepherd Dogs; Ella (10) and Sadie (8), my Belgian Malinois, Mila (2.5). Living with working breeds has shaped how I think about exercise — it's not about wearing a dog out until they're panting. It's about engaging their mind as much as their body. That's the philosophy behind everything I offer. A walk should have a purpose. A trek should be an adventure, not just a loop around the block — somewhere new to sniff, explore, and think. Outing and training sessions build real confidence, not just compliance. I tailor every visit, every outing and every training session to your dog's personality and energy, whether that's a relaxed neighborhood walk, an early morning outing to beat the Florida heat, a solo trek to a trail or pet-friendly store, or focused training time. Multiple daily walks and custom treks are built around what works for your family — just ask. Based in Weeki Wachee, serving west Hernando County. I treat every dog I work with like one of my own. I am fully insured and will provide real references upon request. This is my full-time job — not a side gig, not something squeezed in around another career. When I'm with your dog, that's where my attention is. Every walk, every outing, every training session. Whether I'm in your home or out on a walk or trek, your dog gets my full, undivided attention — no other dogs, no distractions. I follow your routine and any instructions you give me for feeding, medication, or specific needs, and I treat your home with the same respect I'd want for my own: doors locked, things put back where they belong, and your dog's space left clean and comfortable. For walks and treks, I make sure water is available and accidents are cleaned up before I leave. For overnight stays, I keep your dog on their normal schedule as much as possible — same feeding times, same bedtime routine — so there's as little disruption to their world as I can manage. I'm also comfortable administering medication when needed. At the end of the day, my approach is simple: I treat every dog and every home like it's my own.
About: I’ve taken care of pets since the age of 3, growing up as a dog owner with a couple cats at a time, as well. I love written instructions and schedules to follow for feeding and potty time and am attentive to detail. I can send photo and video updates as often as requested. I’m currently working part time with some flexibility built in to help fur baby parents with pet care. Let’s come up with a schedule that meets your needs! I can offer overnight stays if needed and extra time spent with pets on top of feedings, walks, treats, and toilet times. The more details you provide about what you need, the better. I’ll keep things tidy for your return, too.
“Riley was great! We felt confident that our dog was being taken care of so well. The daily updates took away any of the anxiety we had. We will definitely be booking Riley again.”
“Jessica was wonderful. This was our first experience with a sitter, so I was nervous. She exceeded all of my expectations. Jessica answered all of my questions, was here when she said she would be, played with Bear, took him on nice long walks, sent lots of pictures, and left the house in perfect condition. Thank you so much! We will absolutely have Jessica sit for us again.”

About: I am an animal lover. I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life as well as goats, chickens, and an occasional bird. I’ve also rescued and/or raised squirrels, rabbits, and a raccoon. I am retired so I have plenty of time to care for your babies. My baby (chihuahua) has epilepsy so I’m familiar with sticking to routines and administering oral medication. I am really quite a home body. I do a lot of crocheting. The only time that is not negotiable is the first and third Saturday 7:00am to 2:00pm of each month when I try to sell my crochet items at the farmers market. Other than those few hours I’m available to care for your babies needs. I’m trustworthy and clean. I will follow your wishes. I can crate your pet or sleep with it. I currently sleep with my chihuahua and my cat. I love to cuddle with them. My dogs are on a schedule for their medications so I would do the same for babies.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was 10, my mom owns a rescue business. I’ve helped her with dogs, cats, and reptiles. We always have animals in and out of the house, my mom babysits many animals and I help her take care of fosters like cats and dogs. I’m currently out of school and I am open anytime, any day. I have a lot of time to take care of pets. I can walk or play with your animals! At home I have a fenced in area in the back yard to keep your pup safe! I have 3 other playful pups that would love to play with new animals!
About: I love to walk! Having a buddy or two walking with me is even better. The age doesn't matter. Young is great because they are active and I want to stay active. I enjoy playing fetch. I do like wrestling (the big ones) and some aggressive belly rubbing. Sometimes just chilling out for some petting or scratching works also. What schedule? I'm retired, so I have no schedule and plenty of time. I love mornings! Spending time around animals fits in my schedule just fine. I love to walk and play fetch with Baya or just rubbing her belly and scratching her head. She is elderly and has a sensitive tummy so is required to have a special made food (usually ground turkey or eggs and brown rice and a veggie. Keeping her weight under control helps keep her active.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sugarmill Woods
Cheryl is awesome! We took our first trip without our 1 year old pup and he couldn't have been in better hands. The first time we met her our pup was in love. He actually laid by the front door to block her from leaving. He is pretty choosy about who he wants hanging around, but he took to Cheryl right away. She gave him plenty of exercise and snuggles. Also, he is very lean and can be finicky with food. We were worried he wouldn't eat but that wasn't a problem...total win! Not only did she take good care of our furry family member, she also took good care of our home. She is trustworthy and kind. Our pup spent the day after we got home looking for her. It was very sweet. We look forward to seeing Cheryl again.

I would give Debbie more stars if available. We had her house sit for our dog. She went above and beyond. I'm not sure our dog even missed us, and I think our house was cleaner than we left it. I feel very secure in leaving our dog with Debbie. It makes traveling so much easier for us to know there is someone out there that treats our dog as good or even better than we do. Thank you Debbie We will see you again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sugarmill Woods walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sugarmill Woods maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sugarmill Woods choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sugarmill Woods. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
