“Emily was wonderful. We really appreciated the updates, photos, and videos that she sent us of our kitten, Lizzy. This was the first time we left her, and Emily put our minds at ease. We highly recommend her!”

“This is our second time in the last two months that we’ve used Bethany to stop in on Lola and I can’t say enough great things about her. She is very easy to communicate with.”

I am currently in training to earn my certification for dog training which will hopefully be another service I can provide in the future. I have experience in administering medications and have worked with a large variety of dogs. 🐶 I am currently in school and have the opportunity to participate online which allows me to have a flexible schedule and spend time being engaged with my and other fur babies!! With the services I offer, I ensure to provide open communication with clients. I want to ensure that clients feel confident, assured, and comfortable in my experience and that I am the right fit. I can send pictures and videos throughout the day and answer any questions clients have.
About: I’ve loved walking and caring for dogs and cats since I was 13 years old. I treat every pet with kindness, patience, and care as if they were my own. I have a flexible schedule and am available most days. Feel free to reach out, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your pet care needs. I prefer caring for pets in their own home, where they feel comfortable and safe. I follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, care, and love while you’re away, and I always keep their safety and well-being my top priority.
About: I grew up on a farm, surrounded by animals of all kinds from energetic puppies to senior dogs, barn cats, and even livestock. That experience taught me how to read animal behavior, respond calmly in unexpected situations, and provide gentle, consistent care. I also picked up a lot of practical skills, including how to support animals through stress, illness, or injury. Whether your dog needs extra patience, a structured routine, or just some good old-fashioned love and playtime, I’ve got them covered. I truly understand animals and I treat every pet like part of the family. Caring for animals has always been part of my everyday life. Whether it’s early morning walks, playtime, or keeping a routine for feeding and medication, I naturally build my day around what pets need. I’m used to adjusting my schedule to fit each animal’s routine whether it’s a puppy who needs extra attention or a senior dog who needs a slower pace. Pet care isn’t just a task for me it’s something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to every day. I follow each pet’s routine closely whether I’m in my home or yours. That includes feeding, walks, playtime, and any special needs like meds or crate training. I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved in a clean and calm environment.

About: I've owned dogs my whole life and I can appreciate every breed. They all deserve love and compassion, and I've recently made room for cats, as well. Pets are family members, so I don't mind lending a hand for family! I have two jobs, but I am hoping to make this a replacement second job. My day job, I get out at 3pm and I have the rest of the day to help out. Of course, I have my own dog, so I'd like to stop home and care for her first before helping out where I'm needed, but other than that, I have a pretty open schedule, especially on the weekends! I will always opt for going to a client's home because I rent my place of living and am limited in bringing around other pets. I will follow any instructions given to me by my clients, and am very good at sending updates!!

“Leah did a wonderful job making sure Munchie and Oreo were fed and watered daily per our request. Munchie enjoyed having some extra pets while we were on vacation. Over all we are very pleased with the service Leah provided. We will use again for our next extended vacation”

I currently work full-time as a pet groomer from 8 to 4 Monday-Friday! I am able to provide pet care after work and on weekends! My services for each client depend on what each pet needs as well! I can provide anything from walks and car rides to treats and cuddles!
“Barbara was FANTASTIC!! I strongly recommend her. My fiance and I went to Florida for our spring break and I was scrambling to find someone to watch my dog and chickens. When I reached out to Barbara, she was quick to respond and set up a meet and greet right away. She took care of Lester AND my chickens (she let the chickens out in the morning and closed the coop at night). She came to my house twice a day. Her price per visit is very reasonable and she does more than what's expected. Most importantly, she takes a ton of pictures!! Seeing pictures morning and afternoon of my dog and chickens eased my mind and made me happy. She's GREAT with animals and is very experienced. She knows what she's doing and has a kind/loving personality. Next time I go out of the state, I will definitely use her as my sitter. Hands-down. Thanks Barbara!! Hope you'll continue doing this.”

About: I'm 27 years old and I've had a dog in my family my whole life. I have my own transportation when it's needed. I'm reliable and very responsible! I hope you consider letting me take care of your pet! I would love to spend time with him or her any day of the week! Thank you! I am available M-F, any time of day! I can do weekends, if that’s what you need! I can try to fit you in any time! I have 1 Dog at home! He loves yard time and treats! our 1 year old, Sarge, loves others dogs and would love to meet your pups!
About: I've had a lot of experience taking care of dogs of all ages. Growing up, we always had several dogs. I would always do the basic stuff you think about, like walking the dogs, feeding the dogs, etc. Ideally, this is what I will be doing for work. I can fit pet care into my schedule and whatever time helps me best do the job. The most important thing would be to follow any directions given to me by the pet owner. After all, they know the pet best. From there, it is about using basic pet care skills that I know I have.
“Michelle was absolutely wonderful with my three dogs. Two of my dogs take some time to warm up to strangers, and they can be kind of intimidating with their barking. She was so so patient with them, and they warmed up pretty quickly! She was able to gain their trust and give them all lots of pets and take them on walks. She was very thorough in her updates and sent lots of pictures, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend Michelle and I will be booking with her again.”

“Alerie was amazing. She really understands dogs. We have a Great Dane and she knew right away at the meet and greet how to Introduce herself. We spent the day away knowing our babies were in good hands. Thank you so much again. Highly recommend!!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
