“Andrew did a great job house sitting for our 3 pups. He was very patient with our German Shepherd (she has separation anxiety), and confident that she would eventually adjust to him being there- and she did! She even slept near Andrew! Andrew sent photos daily of the pups! They were in great hands! We would feel very comfortable leaving our pups with Andrew again! Also, our house was kept very neat upon our return home.”

“We had a great experience with Andrew! We felt instantly comfortable with him at the meet and greet and his personality was a perfect fit. He followed all of our instructions closely and took wonderful care of Roscoe and Loki. We came home to find the house exactly as we’d left it, and our dogs were clearly happy and well cared for. We’ll definitely be booking him again!”

“David makes our dogs feel safe and loved. They run to him as soon as they see him. He followed all our specific instructions and was very conscientious. He snuggled with them and played with them. We really appreciated how positive he was about staying with Belle and Rory. We would definitely use David again!”

About: I’ve always had a love for dogs, and before I moved to America we owned two amazing high energetic dogs. I loved taking them on walks and letting them explore the environment. I will ensure your dog is having as much fun as I will on his/her walk. I like getting exercise through walking so your dog will be getting plenty of it. Your dogs safety is also a top priority to me at all times and I will ensure that whatever activities we’ll be engaging in, they'll be kept safe. I work full time but still have plenty of time in the day to play and love your pup, my husband is also usually home as well and will generally help with care I have a fenced in backyard that I like taking the dogs outside to if they don’t need a long walk while they stay. We can also play.
“Karen stayed at our house for a week and a half with our 5 cats and 110-lb dog. She sent pics and updates every day, and I could tell that my pets were calm and happy the entire time we were gone. One of our cats has kidney disease and is on a prescription diet, and our dog can be a handful because of how big and strong she is, but Karen handled all of them and their feedings and supplements with ease.”

“Autumn was amazing! My animals LOVED her and she was great with sending me updates about them (I'm so nervous leaving them so this was a great peace of mind). I definitely will be using her in the future!”

“Jane and Jon did a great job of watching my boy Oliver and my buddy Gordie. Both guys had unique medication and feeding schedules. Kept in contact the 5 days I was away. Felt at ease knowing they were being well cared for. Have already rebooked with them for my next vacation. Thanks Jane and Jon !”

About: I have been a pet care provider through a private company for 10 years, but my passion for pets started long before that. My first pet experience was with cats, which I have owned and cared for since the age of 5. My first dog was a Belgian Malinois, followed by two yellow labs, which gave me a love for bigger dogs. I raised and trains all of my dogs from puppy to adulthood. However, I have worked extensively with all breeds including pit bulls, chihuahuas, terriers, golden retrievers, and mastiffs, and German Shepards. Therefore, I am very adaptable to all types of dog breeds. My aim is to be as individualized and specialized to each owner and pets needs and expectations. Walking, drop ins, and training 7 days a week. Pet sitting/house sitting: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday I am unavailable Wednesdays and Thursdays 2:30-10 pm I match how the pets are cared for in each of my clients homes. Again, my aim is to ensure my services are individualized to the client and pets needs. I would want to maintain the same standard of care to ensure maximum comfortability.
“Jen was an outstanding cat sitter. She accepted my last minute request and immediately made me feel comfortable leaving my cat in her care. My cat requires multiple medications throughout the day, and she handled everything flawlessly. She was kind, attentive, and even took the initiative to research my cat’s condition to better understand his needs. Coming home to a clean house and litter box was so nice after a long day of travel. I couldn’t have asked for better care—highly recommended!”

Fenced yard, will walk on leash around neighborhood, crate is great to bring if they are used to sleeping in it, I let them go in and out as they please
About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for dogs with a wide range of needs. I currently care for three dogs of my own, including a senior dog who requires extra patience, attention, and gentle care. I also cared for my previous dog throughout his battle with epilepsy. Administering his medication on schedule and staying with him during and after his seizures taught me how important it is to remain calm, attentive, and compassionate during stressful situations. Because of these experiences, I'm comfortable caring for senior pets, administering oral medications, and providing extra attention to animals with special needs. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I treat every pet as if they were my own, with plenty of patience, affection, playtime, and reliable care. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your pet is in caring and capable hands. Since I am a Nursing Student at ESU, my daily schedule is jam-packed with classes. However, my evenings are usually relatively open and I am always open to overnight sitting! I love animals with all my heart and spending time with different personalities is really special to me. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. In my client's home, I make it a priority to keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible by following feeding schedules, providing fresh water, going on walks or playing as needed, cleaning up after them, and giving them plenty of attention and affection. I'm also happy to administer oral medications and provide extra care for senior pets or those with special needs. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets. I currently care for three dogs, including a senior dog, and I previously cared for my epileptic dog, ensuring he received his medication on time and staying by his side whenever he experienced a seizure. Those experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how to remain calm in unexpected situations. Whether your pet loves long walks, endless playtime, quiet cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I'll adapt to their individual personality and needs. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you're away.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12, including my own Pekingese and my family members dogs. Every dog to me are babies no matter how big or small they are. They deserve the best care which I can give them. I adapt fast to any type of personality. Dogs just like humans have their own unique personalities. I’m currently back from college and I have plenty of time to take care of your babies. I currently am looking for a part-time job which still leaves me with a lot of time to look after your pups. I have one friendly Pekingese, who can keep your dog company if needed. I will always make sure to clean up after the pups. I will always leave your home the same way it was when I arrived
“We recently went out of the country for 10 days and needed someone trustworthy to care for our dog, Kai. This was our first time using Rover, and trusting Rebecca with Kai was one of the best decisions we made! From the very beginning, Rebecca was professional, communicative, and clearly passionate about animals. Throughout our trip, she kept us updated with daily photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. Kai looked so happy and relaxed in every photo, and it was clear he was in great hands. When we returned, Kai was calm, well-cared for, and his usual playful self—Rebecca went above and beyond to make sure he was loved and comfortable while we were away. If you’re looking for a caring, reliable, and dedicated dog sitter, Rebecca is the one. She made our first Rover experience so easy, and we’ll definitely be reaching out to her again in the future!”

About: Hello! I'm Tammie and animals have always been a central part of my life, and I couldn't imagine my world without them. I have years of personal experience caring for both dogs and cats—from managing high-energy playtimes to providing a quiet, comforting space for senior pets. I am observant, patient, and deeply passionate about ensuring that both your dogs and cats feel secure and happy in my care. I also have experience working with llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep, and chickens. I’m looking forward to meeting my new furry friends and my journey working for Rover. Im currently working part time and I have plenty of time to play with your pups and cats. I'm available early mornings and late night visits with open availability on weekends. I have a pet friendly apartment and sidewalks to walk dogs. I’m very reliable and extra cautious of my surroundings and other animals near by.

“We had a great experience with Deanna while we were away for 5 nights! Leaving our two pups, Dino and Ghost, is never easy but knowing they were in such good hands gave us so much peace of mind. What stood out to us was how quickly Ghost, usually slow to warm up to new people, felt comfortable. That’s a huge deal for us as pet parents! Deanna was calm, patient, and clearly has a special way with animals. We came home to two happy, relaxed dogs, and our home was just as we left it. We truly appreciated the updates and communication while we were away, and it’s clear our pups were loved and well taken care of the entire time. Highly recommend and would welcome Deanna back anytime! 🐾”

We found Emileigh on Rover last minute while we were stuck waiting for our Airbnb check in PA so we could ski, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for Louie. She was so incredibly sweet, patient, and genuinely caring with him from the start. She went above and beyond taking him on walks, bringing him on car rides, sending updates, and making sure he felt safe and comfortable. Louie can be sensitive in new places, but he even slept peacefully there, which meant everything to us. We’re so grateful we found Emileigh and would trust her with Louie again in a heartbeat. She treated him like her own, and that’s all you can ever hope for.

Emileigh was great with our 2 dogs. We have an 8 year old chocolate lab and a high energy German shorthair pointer that is 2 years old. Emileigh communicated the entire time and sent photos of our dogs to us. She followed all the notes I left for her and we felt very comfortable having her walk and feed our dogs and stay over with them as well. I would not hesitate to book with Emileigh in the future.

Rebecca and Sam are amazing. They made me feel comfortable with leaving my pup behind. They kept me up to date with how he was doing and sent pictures and videos. He truly enjoyed himself, playing with their dogs. This was my 1st time using Rover and I will definitely rebook with Rover and hope that Rebecca and Sam are always available.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Stroudsburg walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Stroudsburg maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stroudsburg choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
