Hi there, I’m Emileigh! Since I was old enough to hold a leash, I have been the neighborhood pet sitter. I have lived in many different places and at each and every one of them, I have house-sat, walked neighbor’s dogs, and done regular checkups on pets of many different shapes and sizes. I have even had the privilege of working at a horse farm where I had the responsibility of feeding and caring for a variety of animals such as horses, cats, dogs, goats and donkeys. In other words, I deeply enjoy the company of animals, and I have found that caring for them is one of the most rewarding and worthwhile things that I can spend my time doing.

Safety, trust & environment
The first goal that I set for myself when entering any pup’s home is to assess how they are doing while scanning the environment for any kinds of disturbances, or anything to note. When on walks, my priorities are safety, being aware of our environment, making sure that the pup is comfortable, and of course, making sure that we are having a good time! I fully believe that you can never ask too many questions, so I will make sure that I learn as much as I can about the pup and how to make them feel comfortable and cared for, as trust is very important to me. Overall, I will prioritize that both the pup and I are in the safest situations possible when it comes to both environment and being in the company of each other.

This was the first time I’ve used Rover, and the first time I’ve gone away without my dog. Emileigh was fantastic, connected really well with Ever, who has tons of energy and excited about everything. I most certainly with have Emileigh watch Ever again.
Emileigh did a great job with our puppy Otis, he seemed to like her and spend quality time with him while we were at work. She has great communication and I would book her again.
We found Emileigh on Rover last minute while we were stuck waiting for our Airbnb check in PA so we could ski, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for Louie. She was so incredibly sweet, patient, and genuinely caring with him from the start. She went above and beyond taking him on walks, bringing him on car rides, sending updates, and making sure he felt safe and comfortable. Louie can be sensitive in new places, but he even slept peacefully there, which meant everything to us. We’re so grateful we found Emileigh and would trust her with Louie again in a heartbeat. She treated him like her own, and that’s all you can ever hope for.

Emileigh was great with our 2 dogs. We have an 8 year old chocolate lab and a high energy German shorthair pointer that is 2 years old. Emileigh communicated the entire time and sent photos of our dogs to us. She followed all the notes I left for her and we felt very comfortable having her walk and feed our dogs and stay over with them as well. I would not hesitate to book with Emileigh in the future.
Emileigh did an amazing job taking care of our miniature poodle even with the bad weather. Everything was wonderful.

Schedule
I am a traditional artist living in Mackinaw city for the summer! I do both commission work, and also have a part time job at a bed and breakfast in the city. I have a pretty flexible schedule and I am able to fit quite a bit of pet care into it between shifts and artwork!
