“Kaipo loved Scotts home. He was so excited to be there. Nice big yard to run around in and other dogs to play with as well. One of the biggest changes I noticed after Kaipos' stay was that he now returns the ball to me when we play fetch. He would never do that before. Keep away was his favorite game. Took him to dog park and I was throwing the ball for him for nearly an hour. He bought it back every time, dropped it and waited for me to pick it up and throw it again. That was a nice change and I want to thank Scott for fixing that. I had fun.”

About: My family has owned a pet sitting business in Stroudsburg, called IOU Pet Care, for 15+ years. The first job I ever had was going to people’s homes and walking their pups for an hour, checking food and water bowls as well as litter boxes, or even staying the night there. For the past 15 years, since I was 15 years old, I’ve cared for almost every species of house pet you can think of, in just about every way that the owners needed.
About: I’ve been around dogs and animals in general since a young age, with my grandpa running a small farm. I’ve grown up around breeds like German Shepherds, and have always taken care of friends’ dogs while they were in vacation. I learned a lot from my fiancé, who ran a successful dog walking business in New York City Give yourself peace of mind, your dog is in safe, loving, caring hands. I’m currently working from home with a special schedule which I take advantage of as it frees up a lot of time during the day. Pet care fits into it quite easily, as I have a daily routine I follow which includes dog walks, time with the dogs outside and of course feedings (and tending medicine when needed). I have a home situated on a quiet, secluded private lot that backs up onto a river with several trails within a short walking distance. The yard is secluded, well shaded and has ample space. I take care to be active with the dogs, so I usually toss frisbees or play fetch several times a day to keep them content. I walk my dogs twice around the neighborhood. Besides home, I have a number of dog-friendly trails and parks both in East Stroudsburg and nearby where I bring the dogs for some quality time outside. This includes hiking on trails and in the mountains, bringing the dogs to rivers or lakes, I mix it up each week depending on the weather conditions. Any time I go on an outdoor adventure, I make sure I have the owner’s consent. Their dogs will always be hydrated and have a snack. I only ask that if your dog has specific dietary needs or is taking medication, that you provide me with the necessary information and schedule. I have two modes of transport for dogs, both of which offer plenty of space, safety and comfort for the dogs while en route.

About: Since pre-teen, I grew up with dogs mostly as my parents had several dogs in the house. I love to care for dogs and make sure they’re happy and loved. Before Rover, I’ve walked and looked after neighbors’ dogs and owners have confided in me to care for them while they are away (i.e., family vacations, business trips, etc…). Currently my job is fully remote and I can mainly dog-sit during the day on a weekly basis. During the weekends, I can board, house sit and help in any way that I can with advance notice. “Kaipo loved Scotts home. He was so excited to be there. Nice big yard to run around in and other dogs to play with as well. One of the biggest changes I noticed after Kaipos' stay was that he now returns the ball to me when we play fetch. He would never do that before. Keep away was his favorite game. Took him to dog park and I was throwing the ball for him for nearly an hour. He bought it back every time, dropped it and waited for me to pick it up and throw it again. About: I have been in pet care since I 2019 starting with my own puppy. Since then I have worked in professional pet care in education and training through Petco and local businesses. I am dedicated to providing the best and personalized care to your fur baby. I know how important trusting someone to watch over your pet is.
