“Meaghan is always reliable and sends notes and pictures every visit that put my mind at ease while I’m away. She takes time to play with the kitties which is nice too because they get bored. She’s the best!”

Safety, structure, and positive reinforcement are really important to me, and I always make sure your dog feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for. I’d love to help with walks, drop-ins, or sitting—whatever your pup needs! I treat every dog like they’re my own and would love the opportunity to care for yours! I currently have a part time job so that allows me plenty of time for your pups! Whatever their needs may be, I’m sure I can fit it into my schedule. I have a fenced yard with space for your pup to run around as well at 2 friendly dogs they can play with to keep them company. I will be sure your pups stay in their routine with potty breaks, feeding time, walks, etc whether you choose to bring them to my home or if you prefer me to come to them!

About: I’ve had dogs all my life. I’ve been watching my friends and my friends families animals for a few years now while they vacation or anything comes up. I’ve done the walking, the repetitive throws back and forth, and the quick check in during a storm just to make sure they haven’t chewed the house to pieces. I’m naturally an early bird so checking in earlier then my normal 6-3ish work schedule isn’t an issue and anytime after I’m usually free I have a fenced in run area for free running if they’d like. My porch is screened in so they can have the outside time without getting out.

I work Monday-Friday, 8-5 but can stay all day on the weekends! Or, if you are interested in house sitting, I can stay during the weekdays as well. I have recently lost my sweet cat of 18 and a half years, so I do not have a need to go home and take care of my kitty at this time. I can devote my pet sitting time entirely to your fur baby!

(I do ask that you choose a different provider if your animal is not used to small children).
“Shya did a great job taking care of my 17 year old cat while I was away for a week. My cat has health issues and requires medication and daily fluids, so I was worried about leaving her home alone for the first time. Shya dropped in twice daily and followed my detailed instructions, and she provided me with daily updates and pictures so I knew that my cat was doing well. She maintained good communication throughout the visits and made me feel confident that my cat was in good hands. I'm very happy with the service she provided and would recommend her to anyone who needs a drop-in sitter.”
“Jamie was a life saver!! Another Rover dog walker had to cancel day of due to an emergency, and Jamie was able to drive out to our house and let our pups out with just a few hours notice. We will definitely be hiring her in the future!!”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my gran, who had a German Shepherd, a rescue mixed-breed from Ireland. Since moving to America, I’ve rescued two pups from a local animal shelter. I’ve had my oldest for over two years and my youngest for just over six months. They’re both under three, full of energy, and bring me so much joy every day! My mum has also had a dog since I was 13, and being away from her after moving made me realize how much I wanted dogs of my own. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, and I’ll treat your pets with the same love, patience, and care that I give my own. Pet care is my full-time job, so I have the flexibility to dedicate my time and attention to every pet in my care. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I understand how important routine and consistency are, and I’ll do my best to keep your pet comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. When caring for pets in your home, my priority is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll follow all of your instructions for feeding, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and bedtime routines, while making sure your pet gets plenty of love, attention, and companionship. I’ll also keep your home clean and tidy, respect your space, and send regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Rachel was wonderful! Even though it was only for one day, she really helped me out. Took great care of my pets and sent lots of photos and updates, which really helped ease my anxiety while I was away. I truly appreciated her care and communication and will definitely book with her again!”

“We had a last-minute situation, and I really appreciate that Katie accepted the sit on short notice and showed up the very same night. She did a good job looking after our cats and made sure they were well fed and had fresh water, which gave us the peace of mind we needed. We truly appreciate the quick availability and the solid care provided during this emergency!”

“Love Doreen!!!! I watched her a bit with Grey, and I could tell he was so happy with her! He loves a good floor cuddle, so I was super happy to see her actually on the floor with him🥹 will for sure be using her again!”

“Caden was great with my babies while I was away. He was able to give my asthmatic cat his inhaler which can be a difficult task to do, especially for someone new. Recommend Caden for anyone in need!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Stilesboro
If I could give Meaghan 20 stars I would. She is hands down the best. I am in the veterinary industry & I love my animal people…. She is truly one of those!….. and since we moved out of a neighborhood with all the high school kids helping me over the years, I haven’t found someone until Meaghan. She loved on our babies and took the best care. Updated with photos at every visit and put smiles on me and my family’s faces….. giving us the assurance they were all happy and loved on highly recommend and will be using her anytime I have to go out of town.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
