About: Animals have been a constant part of my life — I grew up with both dogs and cats, and I’ve continued caring for them throughout my adult life. Because of that, I understand the little things that make each pet unique: the routines they rely on, the quirks that make them who they are, and the kind of attention that helps them feel safe and loved. When I’m walking your dog or stopping in for a visit, I bring that same lifelong experience and patience. I’m comfortable with everything from playful puppies who need structure to senior pets who move at a slower pace. I’m also attentive to shy or anxious pets and take the time to earn their trust. What sets me apart is how personally I take the responsibility of caring for someone’s pet. I treat your animals the way I treat my own — with consistency, kindness, and genuine care. My goal is simple: when you’re away, your pet still feels at home. As an educator and high school football coach, I’m used to balancing responsibilities, managing time well, and showing up consistently for the people who depend on me. That same reliability carries over into the way I care for pets. With summer approaching, my schedule becomes even more flexible, giving me plenty of time for regular walks, drop‑in visits, and consistent routines for your pets. Even during the school year, my afternoons, evenings, and weekends are open, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care naturally into my week. Because I’ve always had dogs and cats of my own — both growing up and now in my adult life — caring for animals is already part of my daily rhythm. Whether it’s early‑morning walks, midday check‑ins, or evening visits, I’m able to give each pet the attention, structure, and comfort they’re used to. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to keep their routine as familiar and stress‑free as possible. I know how much comfort pets get from being in their own space, so I make sure everything I do matches the rhythm they’re used to. I follow your instructions closely — feeding schedules, walk times, medications, crate routines, and any little quirks that matter to your dog or cat. I take the time to learn their personality, whether they’re energetic and playful, shy and slow to warm up, or somewhere in between. I make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and structure so they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. Because I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, both growing up and now as an adult, I’m comfortable handling all kinds of needs: puppy energy, senior care, anxious pets, or those who just want someone to sit nearby and keep them company. I also keep your home tidy, respect your space, and send regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I enjoy spending time with animals and will provide the best service for your fur babies. I currently do have a red heeler that was a rescue. I took her in because she was a beauty and very intelligent. I since then was able to teach her how to sit, speak, hug, kiss, stay, jump through a hula hoop, lay down and roll over, all on my own using a clicker and snacks. It didn’t take me long to realize that I didn’t save this dog but she completed me by making my heart full. I also have experience with senior dogs since I had a chihuahua that just passed away earlier this year that was 14 years old. I had to take her care to a higher level of carrying her down stairs and bringing her food to her for the last year. I am a stay at home Mom who would love to watch your fur baby. My flexible schedule allows me to give your fur baby all the attention they need while you are away. I have a fenced in back yard for your dog to run and play while I watch them. While I do have a dog, she only likes to be outside.

About: I'm a sahm so I have flexible hours! You and your pets comfort is my biggest priority. I have a senior dog as well so I am sensitive to those needs. I am a stay at home mom so my schedule is flexible. I do go to the gym everyday so I would need to be able to do that. My son, he's 6 would be with me during the week but if it was overnights for the weekend he would not. I do not care for pets in my own home it would need to be your home. I'm happy to house sit and take them on walks.

About: I will do everything I can to make sure your animal has a blast! I have grown up with animals my entire life. Not only do I have experience pet-sitting, I once owned two dogs, four cats, two gerbils, two frogs, three turtles, and over 20 fish at once, so I know how to take care of a house full! I know what makes dogs and cats upset and what can calm them down. I will run and play with your animals so they won't be as rambunctious when you get back! I will always let your animal smell me and warm up to me before I approach them. Dogs need a lot of energy and love. They need someone that will always be willing to run around with them or play tug-of-war. Cats need someone a little more calm that wants to pet them or sometimes play with toys. I will ensure that they will be well taken care and loved like they have never been loved before!! I will send as many or as little pictures and videos of us having fun as you like!

About: Hi there! I have been a devoted dog owner and lover my entire life. I understand that dogs aren’t just pets; they are family. Since I'm home full-time, your pup will get constant supervision, endless belly rubs, and all the attention they are used to receiving at home. Your dog will be treated exactly like one of my own. I live in a quiet, non-smoking home in the Acworth area. We have a spacious front yard —perfect for fetch or lounging in the grass. Dogs are allowed on the furniture, and I have plenty of cozy dog beds to go around. If they prefer their own crate, I can easily accommodate that too. I know how stressful it can be to leave your furry best friend behind. I specialize in making your dog's stay feel like a fun vacation rather than a stressful kennel experience. I also provide owners with regular photo and video updates so you can enjoy your time away with total peace of mind! For stays longer than three days I prefer to bring my cavapoo Coco as long as the dogs are compatible. She is being trained as a service animal, so unless she is off the leash and outside, she is surprisingly laid back. Because we both work at home, we are always here. Your dog is never left alone. With your approval I may take them to the dog park to let them run - as long as that is something you enjoy with them. I live on a private road with only 3 other homes. There is almost no traffic so walking is relaxing and safe. Two of my neighbors have dogs, plus there are deer, armadillos, woodchucks, squirrels, chipmunks, and birds to entertain the sniffers and excite the barkers. My house is large and simply furnished with lots of spots for a nap and room for inside play when the weather is uninviting. I’m a Yale graduate with 30+ years working for Fortune 100 companies - I’m trustworthy and honest and you can depend on me to treat your home like mine (or better!) when I’m there.

Ashlee is an incredibly caring sitter and walker. She communicates often and lets me know if something doesn’t seem right with my pup. She also has gone out of her way to check in when my pup is sick and has the ability to administer medication. She has been so great and my pup loves her. I highly recommend Ashlee. She is responsible, caring, and an overall wonderful person. She is by far the best walker I’ve had so far.

About: I absolutely adore animals. I have a two year old golden retriever, Banks, who is my whole world. I expect everyone to treat him how I treat him. I believe in individualized care for every pet. By creating custom care plans, I ensure that each furry friend receives the attention and care they require. Whether it's following specific dietary instructions, adhering to exercise routines, or providing enrichment activities, I adapt my services to cater to the unique needs and preferences of each pet. Maintaining strong communication with pet owners is a top priority. I provide regular updates, including photos and detailed reports, to keep owners informed about their pets' well-being and activities. This transparency and open line of communication offer peace of mind, assuring owners that their beloved companions are in good hands. Throughout the day, I allocate time for interactive play sessions, exercise, and walks tailored to each pet's needs. I understand that puppies require additional attention and training, so I devote specific time to training sessions, reinforcing good behavior, and helping them develop necessary skills. For senior pets, I am attentive to their unique needs, such as administering medication, accommodating any mobility limitations, and providing gentle exercises to keep them active and comfortable. Ultimately, pet care becomes a fulfilling part of my daily or weekly routine, where I prioritize the physical and emotional needs of the pets I am responsible for. In-Home Pet Care: If I were a pet sitter providing in-home services, I would care for pets in the client's home. This involves staying at their residence and ensuring the pet's comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities may include feeding, walking, administering medication if necessary, providing companionship, and maintaining a clean environment. Dog Boarding: As a dog boarder, I would welcome dogs into my home and create a safe and comfortable environment for them. This would involve providing regular meals, exercise, playtime, and attention. I would also ensure the dogs have a designated sleeping area, access to fresh water, and any necessary medication administration. Doggy Daycare: If offering doggy daycare services, I would provide a structured and supervised environment for dogs during the day. This may include interactive play, socialization with other dogs (if appropriate), walks, and nap/rest periods. Regular meals and access to water would also be provided.

About: I have loved dogs of all sizes and breeds, with varying medical/behavioral issues and I've found that each and every dog has uniquely different needs, just like their humans! I have decades of experience with large, aggressive dogs, toy breeds with attitude, seniors and puppies too. I've adopted or fostered countless breeds and thoroughly enjoy spending time getting to know new pet pals every chance I get. I currently have 2 rescues I adopted from doggie death row, Justin, a 15 year old Dane/Pointer mix, and Charlie, an Carolina dog. I hope to have the opportunity to meet your pups and make their days a little more enjoyable while you're away, rest assured your pets will be cared for as my own. I am only unavailable early mornings Monday-Thursday (often only Monday and Wednesday) and I am happy to do visits any other time. ***I work as a surgical assistant so my schedule does open up when we have cancelations, msg me for my most current availability.*** I prefer to care for your pets in their own home. I have found this to be the most familiar and least-stressful environment for your pets, especially for those with separation anxiety. Many fur babes refuse to eat/drink while their owner is away (mine included). From my experience, having access to EVERYTHING they are accustomed to at home and being surrounded by the smells of their own family is abundantly reassuring to them. ***I have long-term clients which frequently bring me to locations near North Paulding High School (weekends) and Cartersville High School (weekdays) If your needs fall on dates where I am already in the area, special discounted rates will apply! Please msg me for more info*** *My drop-in rates are for a 15 minute potty break/play visit (More often than not, I do stay longer, but 15 minutes is the absolute minimum amount of time your pets will have company). Every visit ALWAYS includes a clean water refresh, feeding and administering required medications, when necessary. **My current overnight rates cover an 8 hour timeframe where I DO NOT LEAVE your pet or home. These hours (and rates) are customizable and I will long term board animals at my home or yours on a case to case basis. Please contact me to customize a care plan to fit the specific needs of your fur family.

About: I have grown up around dogs and cats all my life. I love all furry friends and have always felt an extreme love for all sorta of animals. I have always been the first to volunteer to babysit any friend’s or neighbor’s dogs and have near professional experience with caring for them. I also volunteer at the Macon Animal Shelter weekly. I am very punctual and detail oriented. I know how much pets mean to people and will treat yours like it’s my own! I am currently at Mercer University on my last year. As a senior, I have a lot of free time during the week and weekend. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I am free from 9am -5pm. I am also available for home-sitting overnight, however might need a few hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays for class. I have no pets at my house in Macon (since I am in school) but I do have 2 dogs and 4 cats back home. I have a pretty big backyard and my dogs love to be out and about. They stick to a pretty consistent food diet. I am great at following directions and am quick at learning the habits of pets. I would love to have the opportunity to get to know you and your pets!

I've had dogs since i was a little girl and now my kids love animals they are wonderful company to have and provide all kinds of company and love like no other. I can't wait all of your dogs and get to know them and care for them as my own. There is no dog too big or small I cant handle or won't love me. We will have so much fun inside and outside. I look forward to all the opportunities of meeting and enjoying all your best friends. I work full time but there is always time for pet love and attention that is my true passion in life. I love my fur babies like I love my daughter. I don’t offer these services in my home. I have older male dog that doesn’t get along with other male dogs so it wouldn’t be a good idea.

About: I have a wealth of experience working with a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small mammals. I have encountered various breeds, temperaments, and specific care requirements, which has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of their needs. I believe in tailoring my care to meet the individual needs of each pet. I take the time to get to know the animals in my care, understanding their personalities, preferences, and any specific instructions provided by their owners. This personalized approach ensures that each pet feels comfortable, loved, and well-cared for during my time with them. I am meticulous and detail-oriented in my care. I pay close attention to every aspect of a pet's well-being, including their physical health, emotional state, and overall comfort. I am diligent in maintaining their routines, administering medications accurately, and providing the necessary exercise and mental stimulation for their specific breed and age. I recently had my dog Gracie pass away who was 10 years old and she would want me to love others dogs I am taking care of like I loved her. I understand the importance of trust between pet owners and sitters. I am committed to being dependable and reliable in my services. Perhaps most importantly, my passion for animals is what truly sets me apart. It is not just a job for me, but a genuine love and dedication to the well-being of pets. I understand that pets may need care at various times of the day or week, so I maintain flexibility in my schedule to accommodate their needs. This includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and even holidays. I aim to ensure that pets receive continuous care and attention without disrupting their routines. I allocate specific times each day for feeding pets and ensuring they have access to fresh water. I follow their feeding schedules as instructed by their owners to maintain consistency. Communication with pet owners is essential, especially when caring for their pets in their absence. I make it a point to provide regular updates to the owners, sharing photos, videos, and written reports on their pet's activities, behavior, and overall well-being. This allows owners to stay connected and reassured about their pet's care. If any pets require medication, I strictly adhere to the prescribed schedule and administer it as directed. When caring for pets in their own home, I aim to maintain a sense of familiarity and routine for them. I follow their established feeding, exercise, and care routines as closely as possible. This helps reduce stress and anxiety, as they are in a comfortable and familiar environment. While caring for pets in their home, I maintain open and regular communication with the owners. I provide updates on their pet's activities, well-being, and any concerns that may arise. Clear and consistent communication helps pet owners stay informed and reassured while they are away. In my home, I ensure a secure and pet-friendly environment. I have designated areas or rooms where pets can relax, play, and sleep comfortably. I remove any potential hazards and provide a cozy bed, toys, and other amenities to make them feel at home.

About: I am a true animal lover through and through. I’ve had dogs growing up most of my life, and took on the responsibility of caring for my own dog for the last 10 years! Through this, I know the ends and outs of caring for both young puppies to older, more seasoned pets. Aside from my own dog, I have taken care of family friend’s pets since I was 15! From dropping in to feed and/walk their pets, to staying overnight for days at a time, they’ve trusted me thoroughly to provide the best care and love to their pets as well. I currently work a fully-remote full time job M-F, so my schedule and availability to work from any place allows me incredible flexibility. On the weekends, I am completely free and available to watch, play, walk, and snuggle your pets to their hearts desire! Within clients homes with fences, I love running around/ playing fetch with pets to keep them active and happy! For those with more calm/ senior pets, I love to give them all the attention in the comfort of their house/environment. For all pets, I also take into consideration the space and time some pets need to become more comfortable with a stranger. As they warm up, I will continue to give them the proper space to become more familiar and work within their boundaries.

About: I am looking forward to helping local pet owners while giving high energy, thorough pet care. We have a fenced in yard and plenty of space to play! I give it my all and care for your pet just as I would for my own. Every pet/owner relationship and situation is unique, so I’ll be sure to accommodate every nuance of your pet’s preferences and habits, to make the care given vary as little as possible from his or her daily routine. I truly can’t wait to get started! I currently work from home 9-5, so I am available throughout the day! Pups would not need to be crated for any extended time, and I have a fenced in yard! We do have a two-year-old springer spaniel who is great! We would be happy however to keep the pups separated during their stay as much as needed.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
