Madison was professional and went above and beyond to tidy up and care for my 3 dogs. I am happy we found her in short notice and she was able to accommodate us. I will definitely depend on her in the future.

Kelsey did an awesome job with our 2 big dogs! She was kind & caring. The dogs tails were wagging when she came by (so they told me). We’d definitely have Kelsey walk our dogs again!

About: Hey there my name is Danielle, I have taken care of dogs of all ages ranging from puppies going through their first heat to senior dogs with lack of abilities. Growing up I had all sorts of pets in my home and enjoyed sitting and dog walking in my neighborhood. Also one of my first jobs was at a dog boarding and day care facility. I love all breeds of dogs and cats and just want to keep them happy and healthy and have a fun time. I am available on the weekends and I love the outdoors so any chance to get some sunshine is my favorite. Meeting new people and pets is something I always look forward to. I have a fenced backyard, and my dog is friendly. I do not leave dogs unattended outside because I want to be sure they won't try to escape the yard or dig holes. When in a client's home I am sure to read all instructions given prior to my drop in. I make sure that the their pet is given my full attention during my time there. If I have any questions I am not afraid to ask. I will also send updates and photos if requested.

About: My name is Alexandria, and I’ve had a passion for animals since childhood. I grew up helping on a farm until I was 12 and began working for a dog groomer at 14 which i stopped around 16, gaining valuable experience in animal care. I currently have two German Shepherds and three cats, and I’ve always been the go-to sitter for family and neighbors. Whether it's walking, feeding, or providing special care for senior pets or puppies, I bring love and dedication to every pet I care for. I am currently in college at USCA and I have plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. Whether it's daily walks or playtime, I can easily accommodate any pup or kitty into my routine. My schedule allows me to give them the attention and care they deserve, ensuring peace of mind for you while you’re away. While I don’t have a fenced yard due to Hurricane Helene, I’m happy to walk your pet using your preferred method. If your pet has access to a fenced yard, I’ll keep a watchful eye to ensure they’re happy and safe while they run around. I prioritize their well-being, making sure they get the exercise, play, and attention they need, whether it's on a walk or in the yard.

About: I have been caring for a variety of pets ranging from cats and dogs to rodents and horses since I was 12 years old. Since then I have fully trained my own dog to do basic tasks but also to “find” things (such as an inhaler for my mom) and stand with her back to my calves if we are in crowded areas. I am always learning new ways to better care for pets and new tricks for my own dog! I have just graduated from university so I am currently searching for a full-time job in my field. That means for now I am completely free to help out with pets whether that means walking, drop in visits, or house sitting. If I am coming over to housesit I will likely be at the house for the majority of the day and stay over at night too (or whatever the owner requests.) I am completely flexible and open to negotiation.

About: I have experience with cats and dogs of many different kinds! I have taken care of both geriatric & adolescent aged animals. As well as having experience with animals who have special needs like blindness, deafness, and giving medication. I hope to meet your babies soon! I'm currently in graduate school to become a speech language pathologist and I’m wanting to supplement my income with some sitting/walking/dropping in jobs before and after school during the week and on the weekends. I will not be able to provide sitting services for any pets inside of my home as I already have multiple animals like cats, dogs, chickens, and fish at my home.

About: Why should you consider entrusting your precious pup to my care? These 7 reasons may be important to you: - Your dog(s) will have 100% of my care and attention! I only host one client's dog(s) at a time, and I don't have any pets of my own (just great memories.) When your pup stays with me they'll feel like it's their home away from home, where they're loved and cherished.. My rate is higher than some because of this limitation; in return, my dedication to your pet's personal needs is unsurpassed - as you can see from my excellent reviews. (NOTE: I will take care of up to 2 dogs from the same family.) - I am a totally devoted dog lover. Dogs come first in my book. Caring, paying attention to the the ways in which they communicate, ensuring they are happy, calm, secure puppies... makes me happy! - I'm quite comfortable with very large dogs, and also have experience with dogs who experience separation anxiety issues. - I follow your directions! Your wish is my command regarding food, walks, verbal commands to use, toys, and any other special instructions. - I am a mature, dependable adult; have raised children; own my own home; no smoking, no drugs. You can trust me to make responsible decisions in an emergency. - I have a big yard that outdoorsy dogs really enjoy for potty breaks, playing catch, soaking up the sun, and supervising squirrels. - I have a quiet home (kids grown, beloved pets long gone) where I spend most days doing internet research and writing; lots of time for hanging out with and being a companion to your pet(s). I'm also within a short drive of the dog park and hiking trails, if that's appropriate to your pet's disposition and exercise abilities. Why I love dog sitting My family always had dogs: everything from Great Danes to Pomeranians, from show dogs to rescue dogs. Personally I have always felt a strong bond and mutual understanding with dogs. Since my last dog passed away, I have looked for the opportunity to spend time with canine friends, and Rover has provided a great opportunity for me to do just that. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages, and have special understanding of dogs with separation anxiety and geriatric dogs. Meet my pets No other pets here - just yours! Looking forward to meeting! About my yard I have a big backyard that has lots of areas to explore all fully-fenced and dog friendly. The back yard is great for quick rest-stop needs (eg, if nature calls in the middle of the night) and on beautiful days it's nice to just hang out there and watch the squirrels and birds in the trees. My experience administering medication I'm comfortable administering oral and noninvasive medications, but not comfortable doing injections. When I'm caring for a pet I really enjoy their company, so spend most of the time hanging out with them or taking them places with me, if appropriate depending on the pet. If your pet has special needs like separation anxiety or a strict medication schedule, I plan my schedule around their care and comfort. I have a big, fully fenced back yard that is wonderful for sniffing around, playing fetch, watching birds and squirrels, and hanging out together when the weather's nice. In the house your pup is welcome to hang out wherever I am at the moment - kitchen, desk, bedroom. Sleeping arrangements will be per your instructions.

About: I have been volunteering at animal shelters all over the East coast for almost 20 years and have a Chihuahua mix rescue of my own who is my whole world. I grew up with large and small dogs, cats, frogs, hamsters, and horses. I will care for your animals as I do my own! My number one priority is to put your mind at ease and keep your pet happy and healthy. I know first hand it can stressful finding good care for your pets, so I pride myself on being communicative, attentive, and providing top quality care. I work full time with some flexibility, and am home during lunch everyday, but am most available on weekends. Due to the nature of my job, some weeks I am more free than others so don’t hesitate to reach out! I will treat your pet and home as I do my own. I love all types of dogs and understand some may require different care than others. Each pet is just as unique as we are! My dog Declan loves to play with dogs big and small. About: Hi everyone! I live in Aiken, SC with my husband, our baby girl, and our pets. We have three dogs. I have cared for animals of all ages, including seniors with medical conditions, babies, high-energy animals, and pets that have behavioral concerns, etc. I have completed pet first aid and CPR training through Pet Safety Crusader. I have experience with administering medications, walking, feeding, and cuddling! I have experience administering insulin to cats. I am used to cleaning up after pets that are older and may not always make it outside or to their litter box for the bathroom, and animals that may try to dart out open doors or gates. Starting in January, I work Monday-Friday 7:45 am to 1 pm. Outside of that, with notice, I can generally be available. I am a mom to a toddler, so I no longer do overnight care in other peoples homes. Exceptions can be made for people in my neighborhood! One of my dogs can be "dog selective" and tends to resource guard... so for everyone's safety, I do NOT watch pets in my home. Exceptions can be made for rodents or reptiles. I want to keep your pets as safe as possible while sticking to their usual routine while you're away. I pride myself on my clear communication. I recognize how scary it can be to leave your pets in the care of a stranger, and I am happy to do a "meet & greet" with you and your pets prior to booking. The more information you can give me about your pet(s), the better.

Ana is an absolute blessing! She has been walking my dog every week day afternoon for several months now and she has been the best walker he has ever had! She is incredibly kind, dependable, and communicative. She goes above and beyond! My pup loves his toys so she always plays with him in addition to taking him on a long walk and giving him his medicine on time every day! I never worry about my baby when she is with him because I know she will love him like her own!

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover, currently with 3 dogs ranging from 4 lbs to 65 lbs, 4 goofy cats, and enough fish tanks to rival a small aquarium in my home. When I left the US Army in 2012, I started working with animal rescue organizations and it became a passion of mine. I will provide intensive home care to geriatric dogs with complex health needs, including cancer, seizures, tracheomalacia, and diabetes. I have experience with puppy training and caring for adult dogs of all sizes. I have also cared for cats, lizards, turtles, horses, and a variety of fish! Whatever your pet care needs are, I’m certain I can take good care of your furry family. I work full time Monday through Wednesday, and am available for pet care Thursday through Sunday with flexible hours including early mornings to late evening. I prefer to meet your pets before the first appointment, so that I can see their environment and be familiar with their daily routine in order to best care for them.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Stiefeltown. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Stiefeltown.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stiefeltown. On Rover:

  • 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
