The photos of their facilities gave a good sense of what the dogs were provided with inside and outside, and photos of Izzie Rebecca sent to us on the days Rebecca was caring for Izzie were fun and reassuring. Lastly, their roaming farm animals were a delight. We will kennel our dog with Rebecca whenever we are in this part of the Columbia Gorge.”

About: I'm an experienced dog sitter and former dog mom just returning to Rover and accepting new and returning clients! I have decades of experience taking care of dogs, including my own, friends', and dogs in rescues and shelters. I was the dog-walking coordinator for a dog rescue and a dog-walking volunteer for a public shelter for years. I actually grew up afraid of dogs and it was a big deal for me to start volunteering to walk strange dogs; it helped build my confidence, and I was -- and still am -- very attuned to what's going on with the creature at the other end of the leash. I believe every dog has unique needs and temperament and honor these while they're in my care to ensure they feel as secure and safe as possible. DOG SITTING AND BOARDING: I work from home as an editor, so your dog will get lots of attention and potty breaks. Your dog is welcome to join me on the couch or lie at my feet for regular pets, or chill in another room in or out of a crate. Whatever will make your dog feel most at ease while you're away. I recently lost my own 15-year-old dog, so your pup will be my sole focus (and will get lots of love and care). I have a fully fenced yard at my home for potty breaks (separate from walks/hikes). If you don't have a fully fenced yard at your home, it's no problem to take your dog for leashed potty walks as frequently as necessary.

About: I have two miniature Dachshunds who are my best friends. I deeply understand the need for someone trustworthy to not only care but also love your dog when you can’t. I’m here to help. I work 7 days on 7 days off. During my off time I’m home without any other responsibilities and have all day to take care of your best friend. I have a fenced yard and two friendly small dogs to keep your baby company. My dogs are free to roam the house, but also have a guest room for them to keep space if they need it.

About: My name is Emily and animals are a major part of my life. I grew up in a home where my mom was a dog trainer for 40+ years. We provided doggy day care and boarding service in our home. I have lots of experience with dogs, their behaviors and personalities, and how they truly bring happiness to people's lives. I have also volunteered my time at different animal rescues and have done an abundant amount of fundraising for animal causes. I have a car for transportation I have long term house sitting & daycare experience. I have two dogs who are friendly with others dogs, mine are kennel trained, but I do not own a kennel. I believe that our animals are happier in their home, vs, at a kennel when we are away. I am more than happy and avaible to house sit in your home so your babies are comfortable.

When your pet stays with me, you can expect: - Lots of love, attention, and snuggles - Daily updates and cute photos - Clear, friendly communication - A safe, comfortable home where they’ll be treated like family I know how important it is to feel at ease when you’re away from your pets, so I’ll always go the extra mile to make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and cared for like my own. I work from home, so I can give your pets lots of attention throughout the day. Every 3–4 hours, we take walks around the neighborhood, and in the evenings, when the weather is nice, we head to our neighborhood dog park for some extra playtime. For kitties, I make sure they get plenty of indoor adventures to keep them happy and entertained. I live in a gated neighborhood, and there’s a fenced dog park just downstairs from my apartment, so dogs can safely enjoy walks and playtime. For cats, I make sure they have a safe indoor space to explore, and all our windows have secure screens so there’s no worry about them sneaking out.
