“Cassidy walked my Millie girl almost every weekday while I was at work for 6 months. She’s been fantastic with my crazy girl and we will both miss her very much (we are moving). She’s very thoughtful and kind to my baby even when she can be a bit of a pain on walks. Appreciate her patience and love! Wishing her all the best. 😭❤️”

About: I was working in a Dog daycare for 5 years before I started my own business. In that time I also received my dog training certificate. I have worked with puppies all the way up to senior dogs in my time working with animals. Pet care is my full time job. All I need are the days you're looking for and I can add you onto my schedule. I also offer limited services on the weekends I travel to my clients for the services requested. Depending on the set up of the clients house determines how I go about looking after the animal. I always request that vet information be readily available just incase anything happens and I generally like to meet the animal first to make sure they are comfortable with me before I commit to working with them.

About: My partner and I both love hanging out and taking care of people’s pets, so we’ve decided to do it together. We both grew up with dogs and cats respectively, and overall, just love animals. We’d be more than happy to check in on your per, take them for a walk and make sure that they don’t feel alone while you have to be out. We have three cats of our own; one of them has allergies that we perform shots on her for. If your pet has such needs, we have experience in that department! I work from home two weeks of the month currently and will be expecting to be fully home by February. During those weeks, I can come anytime of day but the other two weeks, I’ll be available Thursday-Sunday. I’ll confirm that your pet is healthy and ensure that they’re comfortable with my presence / actions. I’ll also follow all instructions provided to me and share updates after each visit.

About: Hello! My name is Lauren. I work as a nurse at Hershey Medical part time and I'm looking to take care of pets in my free time! My last dog had diabetes and other health issues so I’m experienced with administering shots and medications. He was also blind so I’m experienced with those pups who cannot see! I fostered kittens and currently have a cat of my own. I also have experience with rabbits and guinea pigs. I will be sure to send pictures of your fur babies while you are away! I'm currently working part time as a nurse so I can provide care to your animal on my days off which will be provided in my availability calendar. Currently, my house is under construction so I cannot board any animals. I can come to your house though to feed, water, play, walk, and snuggle!

About: For 8 years, neighbors, friends, and co-workers have relied on my dog-sitting, cat-sitting, and house-sitting services. I have worked with pets of all sizes, ages, and breeds. I don’t mind working with newly-trained pets, and I am especially skilled at finding creative ways to make sure older pets take their medicine! I have been an animal-lover at heart for my entire life, and I would jump at the opportunity to meet a new furry friend! I am currently working a full-time job in Reading, and I come home every day to our Bernadoodle, 2 cats, and our ferret! I take our dog on routine walks, and always ensure our cats and ferret are taken care of and have entertainment while I’m away. I will be sure to do the same for your furry friends as well! While pet sitting at a clients home, I will always go above and beyond what is asked of me. I will take care of feeding and walking, in addition to making sure that the pet’s energetic and social needs are met as well. I understand that leaving your pets, whether for a few hours or an entire week can be extremely stressful, so I try to ease that stress as much as possible by providing as many updates and pictures as I can!

About: I’m a dog mom that works from home 95% of the time. With 4 dogs and almost an acre for a fenced in backyard, there is a lot of time for fun activities, cuddles, and the zoomies both in and outside of the house. I have experience with both puppies and elderly dogs, and have enough space throughout the house that either can be made comfortable in a space if needed. My daily AND weekly routine are very flexible as I can adjust my own schedule when needed. Even on work hours, I have a lot of free time on my hands that allow for short walks or some fun activities in the yard. My dogs always have time made for them, so I would love to include your pups in our free time. My backyard is fenced in and is a very large plot to allow for a quick stretch of the legs and multiple potty breaks. Smaller dogs will be taken on a leash as the fence is a rail type fence, but larger dogs will be allowed to roam freely around the yard. If your pups are not dog friendly it is a MUST know so that space can be separated from my own, but still allow them room to run and grow comfortable in a new space. Dogs are let out every 1-3 hours, depending on what is needed and can be adjusted as needed.

About: I have taken care of many animals through out my life and i’ve had them ever since I was 5 so I am confident in knowing how to take care of someone else’s pets and the value of how important it is. I have many skills and experience with animals. I love being an asset to my community and love to make a difference. I am a Vet Tech and I’m a sitter on the side. I am currently in school for Vet Tech through YTI and I am remote, so I have plenty of time to take care of lovely animals, I work at a vet three days a week as a vet assistant! I have 5 dogs and 3 cats but they are very friendly and would love to play with a new furry friend, my pets are very spoiled so other pets will get the very same treatment! I love taking dogs for walks and enjoy playing with animals and giving them the attention they desire. I will also travel if your fur baby needs a sitter. I have a trail behind my house in the woods where my dogs love to walk, and i’m sure your dog would too! I love playing with cats, they are lovely purring friends. I don’t cage my dogs but if your fur baby needs crated I already have crates.

“Christy is a gem! My dog saw her coming and was so excited to see her because he knew he was about to get a great walk! From my six-year-old lazy St. Bernard to my one year-old newfi/St. Bernard mix who has enough energy for five puppies, she knows how to handle both of them. The puppy is in training and she’s very good at reinforcing what he’s learning. I am so glad I found her!”

About: I’ve taken care of lots of animals including dogs for over 13 years! In addition to caring for my own animals, I have been relied on by others to care for their pets as well. I consistently work on training with both my dog and cat. Currently, my dog Nani is learning to search for edible mushrooms on our hikes! I work remotely and make my own schedule so I have lots of flexibility/availability throughout the week! My work allows me to take time during the day to go on walks or to work on training/socializing as needed. I have my own friendly dog and cat who are very active. We go on lots of walks and play throughout the day. My focus is creating healthy stimulation and activities for our pets.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Steelstown. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route, the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Steelstown after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
