About: Hi, I’m Kadi! I’ve spent over 10 years caring for dogs—everything from adopting a senior pup with medical needs to fostering and dog-sitting dogs of all ages and personalities. I understand how important it is for you to feel your dog is completely safe, loved, and cared for, so you can truly enjoy yourself while you're away. I work from home, so your dog will get plenty of attention (and I’ll send you lots of photos!). My husband, Jake, and I recently moved to Royal Oak from New Orleans, where we regularly dog-sat, fostered, and volunteered with a local rescue. We have two small rescue dogs—Omelette and Hollywood—who are used to visitors. Hollywood enjoys playtime but is also respectful of dogs who prefer to relax. I’m happy to continue any routines you have at home, including crate training, medication administration, potty training, and positive reinforcement. I typically walk dogs twice a day but adjust to each pup’s energy level and needs. For safety, dogs are never left unsupervised in my fenced backyard. About: I have cared for dogs since our first Siberian Husky joined the family in the 1960's! Family, friends and now new friends have entrusted me to take care of their fury family members when they leave town. From puppies to seniors they are all treated as if they were my own! I will consider accepting two dogs from the same family/household, but will generally only care for one dog at a time. This is so that no dog needs to not only adjust to being away from their own home, but also have to navigate relating to another, unfamiliar animal. I have no pets in my own home at this time either. Breeds I have cared for over the years include Labrador Retrievers, Samoyeds, Pugs, Huskies, Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Miniature Schnauzers, Weimaraner's, German Shepards, Golden Retrievers, Pit Bulls, French Bulldogs, English Setters, Australian Shepards, Cocker Spaniels, Cockapoos and countless mixed breeds! I work from my home and so I am able to devote myself to any dog in my care. I take frequent work breaks and consider my care of the dogs entrusted to me as a part of my at-home work/life routine! I only care for pets in my own home. I have a nice fenced in backyard with privacy fencing on two sides and chain link on the other two sides, and the dogs seem to like the space. I do not leave dogs in the backyard on their own. I am with them if they are outside. I like to walk the dogs around my neighborhood and through the nearby park up to three times per day depending upon their energy level/physical abilities or limitations and their established routine. Any dogs that are more couch potatoes are certainly never forced to take walks. I honor where they are in terms of their breed, age and physicality! I have cared for elder dogs who have needed regular, timely medications and close observation as well as wild little puppies and everything in between! My home is kept very clean and neat to prevent my fury guests from getting into anything they should not and between visits I wash all dog bedding, towels, blankets and rugs.

I am currently work a hybrid work schedule (some days I work from home, other days I am in the office); I have 5 years experience in a kennel environment and working with working/professional dogs, as well as dogs with behavioral issues; and training/showing/trialing my own companions - I have experience and titles with my dogs in obedience, agility, and nosework in both AKC and UKC and other venues. I focus on force-free training methods, while still making sure to ensure rules and boundaries in my household. As much as I love training, training is not offered as part of your stay. I currently work from home, and am able to let out frequently. Your pets will be treated like my own while they stay with me. I have a fenced in yard and a playful pup who loves to meet new friends! I am set up for any scenario needed, and have crates for safety and feeding. If your dog isn't used to staying in a crate is reliable to be left alone, I have baby gates set up around the home to keep them out of places they shouldn't be.

About: You wouldn’t trust just anyone off the street to watch your kids. So why do the same with your fur babies? Ana and I have been ‘animal people’ for our entire lives, and fortunate enough to have been pet parents to all manner of critters, from dogs and cats to reptiles, birds, and rodents. Right now though, it’s just the two of us and our 8 year old Pug/Boston Terrier mix named Victor. He’s very friendly, and LOVES when friends come over to visit. We have a fenced-in yard with lots of room to run and play, and plenty of healthy treats from the garden to snack on. But pets are also more than welcome to hangout inside with us and lounge on the couch. Victor likes to go on morning and evening walks, but greater frequency can be arranged if needed. We are generally available anytime, home 7 days a week, but in the event that we have to be out of town we will be sure to communicate such well in advance. Also available for drop-in visits and walking at your home. Don’t leave your best friend boarded up at some kennel where they’ll keep them locked in a crate except for potty breaks! Let them come spend the day playing with good friends! Being that we both work from home, we are available and present pretty much all day, 7 days a week. If you require services in your home, that can be arranged as well. As pet parents ourselves, this is already part of the daily routine! You’d just be making Victor happier by bringing along a friend We have a safe, private, fenced-in yard and a very friendly, playful boy who is ready and eager to help keep your pets’ company. We’re always available for you to reach by phone, and can provide photos and videos of your pets during their stay if requested. If needed, we can keep your pet in their kennel until it’s time for walks and enrichment, or if you prefer, they can also roam free and make themselves right at home. We can also accommodate special dietary needs or provide medications if needed (Victor has to take his thyroid medication twice a day).

About: I've owned dogs a majority of my life, both large and small breed. I've house trained and crate trained my own dogs so I have some experience with that, as well. I work from home, which allows lots of one on one time with your pet. I'm able to flex my work schedule based on whatever is needed. I have a fenced in yard, which my own pup loves to run in. Lots of toys and playtime with plenty of comfy surfaces to nap on after.
