I work from home and love an excuse to get out of the house. Therefore my schedule is usually wide open to take care of your pets when you can’t! I treat every animal like they’re family—because they are. My goal is to keep your pets happy, safe, and as relaxed as possible while you're away. About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was 6 years old. I used to have a blue heeler that I taught how to heel. This was very useful at the dog park. I’m a college student at Mississippi State University and only have a few classes in person so I have plenty of free time to care for pets. I have two pups in my hometown that I miss a lot while I am at college. Caring for your dogs makes me feel a little less homesick.

About: Hi! My name is Olivia, I am a veterinary student at State, and I look forward to working with you and your animals! I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, have been a Certified Veterinary Assistant for the last 4 years, am RECOVER pet CPR certified, and have been trained in animal emergency response. Before vet school, I worked as a veterinary technician for 4 years. I have experience in small animal general practice, and large animal emergency medicine. Thanks to this experience, I am also comfortable giving medications of all types (oral, topical, injectable, etc.), meaning that I am ready to provide whatever level of care your animals require! I have experience with animals of all sizes. I have been a lifelong dog owner, raised and showed rabbits in high school, fostered kittens in college, and have received medical and husbandry training for a variety of species. I've taken care of many furry family members, and can't wait to help with yours! My schedule is very flexible, and I have ample time to commit to your pets! I typically have a few hours worth of classes on weekday mornings, a break for lunch, and then am either free in the afternoons or will return to class for a couple more hours. I have open availability on the weekends. With my flexible school schedule, I can commit to not leaving your animals alone for longer than 4 hours at a time. When seeing your pet for a drop-in visit, scheduled walk, or overnight care, I will frequently update you with details of the visit, pictures of your pet, and you will be promptly notified should any issues arise. If you feel an emergency requires a vet visit, I will gladly transport your baby to your hospital of choice. Whatever instructions you leave for me will be meticulously followed to ensure the best possible care for your animals. No task is too big!

About: I trained my brothers wild white husky to not chase after our goats and kill our chickens at home. I can handle some lovely pups! I just workout, study and sleep. This semester i have less time because of complex classes so just let me know in advance please! Thankyou I live in an apartment so the dogs will never be let loose, i could take him/her to the dog park and let them roam if you would like though.

Have volunteered at animal shelters and cared for dogs most of my life! I recently moved to the Starkville area. My availability is pretty open! About: Hello I have worked at a veterinarian clinic in my home town for 3+ years now and I am looking for some jobs here in Starkville while I am away and would love to help take care of any animals. As a full time student I think pet care will be easy to fit into my schedule daily or weekly any time that is needed. You can trust in my care of your pets as I worked at an all animal clinic so I have experience with many different animals and things to do in emergency situations.

About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life, and in the last five years, have raised three puppies into well-behaved, mature dogs, and cared for my two senior dogs until they passed. I personally trained my youngest dog and she is the best-behaved pup in public! I have experience with administering medication, grooming, training, feeding routines, and overall handling, especially dogs that are skittish or fearful. All of these skills helped me excel in both of my kennel assistant positions. I am patient and fully willing to provide care for senior or injured pets, as they hold a special place in my heart. I'm currently a full-time student at MSU, and will share my schedule when a booking request is made. I have gaps between my classes, and am generally done with school around 12 pm on T/TH and around 2-3pm on M/W/F. Again, I have gaps between classes so I am available at different times of day. I am fully free on the weekends! I have three dogs and two cats currently living at home, while I have my third car with me at college. My college car is also blind and one of my home dogs has a torn CCL, but they both are adored all the same. I wouldn't change it for the world! My dogs are on radio collars on occasion (generally when strays begin to appear), but more often than not, they are inside-outside dogs and are let out on average 4-6x a day. My own dog, Felix, has the torn CCL and gets leashwalked 4-6x a day as well. All of my cats are free-fed dry food, and my blind kitty gets fed a special dry food. My oldest cat (13 yrs) is also fed wet food as an additional food, 1-2x a day. Their litter box is cleaned weekly, as we do not scoop, but I do scoop my blind cat's litter box daily, as she is the only cat in the dorm and the box is suited specifically for her. In my clients home, I will follow any and all rules and regulations laid out of me. I love "excessive details" as they give me a better idea of how to properly care for the pets. I follow feeding times and amounts to a T, and double, triple, sometimes quadruple-checking amounts of everything, whether it be food, medications, or the amount of excrement I find. If anything looks off (behavior, excrement, appetite, etc.) the owner is immediately notified with a mentality of "what do you want me to do next?" My goal is to treat the pet as good as the owner does, in the time I am around them. On walks, I encourage proper walking skills (heeling, low reactivity), and try to help teach dogs as I do so. If allowed by the owner, I'd use low-calorie, high-reward treats with a clicker tool to help refine walking skills. This way the pet gets mental and physical stimulation, while being able to still be themself.

About: I have been dog and house sitting for the last 5 years for dogs both big and small! I am active and enjoy taking furry friends on a walk, run, or to the park. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. My schedule is most free in the evenings and weekends but reach out with a specific time and I would love to try to make it work! I am not able to have pets in my own home but am respectful of property and tidy when pet/housing sitting in other peoples home.

About: I have been sitting on Rover for about five and a half years and for both dogs and cats of ALL ages, particularly high-energy puppies! I work at State full time Monday - Friday. I am able to be there full time on the weekends and can come home during lunch time for potty breaks. I would keep your home clean and leave exactly the way I entered it. I will make sure that food/objects are not within reach for curious pets.

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats my whole life, I am also experienced with farm animals (including large animals) and some exotics (specifically birds and rodents). I am currently working at an animal hospital and am applying for vet school soon. I am also a member of the American Kennel Club and have experience with animal behavior. I would love to take care of your pet! I work full time at a clinic so my availability is before and after work. Weekends I am often available so just check my rover calendar and send me a message! I am willing to accommodate to your animals needs. If they need to be leash walked at your home, or need someone to watch them in the yard I can do that. I am also experienced with many medications and know how to administer them. Your pets needs are my top priority.

About: I have been taking care and loving all animals forever. I promise to treat them as my own and interact with them in the ways that they need. With going to school and specializing in interactions with animals, I will create a comfortable and safe space for them. I am in college looking to make extra money! I’m available all day Mondays, Fridays, and Weekends. On Tuesdays I am available before 8 am and after 6 pm. Wednesdays and Thursdays before 8 am and after 3 pm. I have a fenced in yard and keep constant water for my animals. I can easily let your dog out if you have a fenced in yard or take them on a walk when needed.

About: Since I can remember I’ve always been surrounded by animals especially dogs. I’ve had about 3 dogs of my own but have cared for well over 20 in my entire life. I remember growing up with my grandparents I would always wake up early to go out into the yard with my grandfather to tend to his 8 maybe even 10 dogs (he has a big heart for animals so maybe it was a lot more). I’d go and greet them all, I enjoyed every bit of it, they’d even have to yell at me to come inside to rest or eat.( I definitely caved) But growing up like that, seeing my grandparents love for animals carried over to me and I one day was able to give all that love to puppies of my own. I now have the privilege to do so with other peoples pup and get paid??! Sounds like heaven to me! I am a full time student with no job so the time and days I have set really fit my schedule. Im always ahead on my work so i’m usually just laying around doing nothing or in the gym here and there so to be able to spend that time outside with a pup would do me some justice! I am always keeping an eye out for my pup ensuring he’s having fun but also safely. Charlie (my puppy) is leash trained but also can walk without one so I definitely have to keep an eye on him to be sure he’s not getting into things he shouldn’t. I can guarantee that I will do the same for your pup as I do my own!
