“Britney took very good care of my kitty while I was gone. My cat is very skittish when it comes to new people, so she tends to hide. Britney went the extra mile to make sure she atleast heard her in the house. She also made sure she had food, water and cleaned her kitty box. I would highly recommend her to take care of your pets!”

About: I am a cat lover through-and-though. Each cat I meet, I treat them like I would treat my own. I rescued all 3 of my cats, and have rescued and fostered more. I am commited to providing the utmost care and love to your cats! In addition to taking care of my own 3 cats, I have plenty of time to care for others! My work schedule is flexible and allows me to provide the best care! I am able to be as involved as your cats need - whether they only need to be fed, or if they need multiple litter box scoops and lots of playing. I also love to cuddle with and pet my own cats, and will treat yours no different.

“Madeline went above and beyond while cat sitting my 3 girls! She offered to meet briefly before she watched them to get more acquainted with the space and the cats which I appreciated. She arrived promptly every day. I received several photos and updates during the visits. She was very observant and thorough during her time with the cats. After each visit, she gave an in depth description on everyone’s mood, the food/water consumption, bathroom usage, etc. I would 100% book Madeline again and would confidently suggest her to anyone else!”

“Callie was great with our cat. Clear but not overly verbose communication with us on our trip. The cat wasn’t sure what to think at first but was clearly comfortable in a few days. Would book again.”

About: I have one dog at home who requires medication, so I know how to give medication. I also have my own cat. I also have a betta fish. I take care of my cat daily. I clean her litter box everyday. I change her water and food daily. I make sure she gets enough attention. I will do whatever is required of me to keep your fur baby happy. Whether it's long walks or snuggle time on the cozy couch.

About: My whole life I've taken care of any dogs I can, I have experience with all different types: from small and yippy, to giants who can't grasp the fact they're not lap dogs. I absolutely love them all. Whether you have an energetic Malinois that needs to be walking at least five miles a day, or a senior pup who needs extra love and snuggles, I can provide all the care they need. I'm currently a part time student here at Mississippi State University, but thanks to my carefully planned class schedule, I am able to check in on your fur babies both during the school day as well as after! On a typically school week, I have a break between classes from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursdays, and a 10:00 am- 12:30 pm on Monday and Wednesdays. Fridays are quite simple where I am done by no later than 2, which brings up the weekend. Weekends are pretty much always open for me, besides a quick three hour shift at the gym, and of course an hour of church on Sunday (gotta keep the priorities straight ;) ). I would love to stop by and hang out or walk your pets between classes as needed! Your baby's safety and your comfort are always my top priority. Whatever is needed, whether that is kenneling, extra care while opening doors (my pups love to dart every time they get a chance), or attentiveness in the neighborhood, always make your concerns known to me. I will always make it my number one concern to keep your dog/ cat safe and loved!
About: I’ve loved and have been taken care of animals since I was a kid. Also I am currently attending school to specialize in animals behavior. I am currently working a part time job, so I have more than enough time on my hands to fit pet sitting in my schedule. I am very attentive to the pets at all time. I also make sure that anything that could possibly harm them isn’t in their vicinity.
About: I have volunteered at local animal shelters for over seven years. I’ve also adopted my fair share of furry friends! No animal is a stranger to me and I promise to love yours like my own! I work from home and love an excuse to get out of the house. Therefore my schedule is usually wide open to take care of your pets when you can’t! I treat every animal like they’re family—because they are. My goal is to keep your pets happy, safe, and as relaxed as possible while you're away. Whether your pup is full of energy or prefers couch snuggles and lazy strolls, I’ll match their vibe. I am very detail oriented and will make sure you pet gets exactly what they need! For cats, I understand they run the show. I let them take the lead and respect any and all boundaries!

About: I've taken care of dogs for most of my adult life. From pups to seniors I've always had a warm sense of love for our four legged friends! I’m mostly available on weekends. With lots of time for walks and playtime from sunrise to sunset. I run on weekends so active pups are more than welcome to join! Those relaxed pups will be met with cold ac and chill vibes! I have a fenced in backyard for any pup for lots of outdoor time! Food schedule flowed if specified. Lots of playtime! Crates will need to be provided.
“Tara took such great care of Draco. He just loved her!! Our schedules changed and she was extremely flexible with us, thank you so much for taking such good care of our second baby!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Starkville
Mary was absolutely amazing! She was always on time and stayed the entire time that was allotted which was a big deal to us. She sent the best photos of our cats and made sure they were always content either playing or giving them their squeezies (churrus). Highly recommend booking with her, very trustworthy and kind lady.
Olivia was a great sitter! We booked her drop in services for our cat Percy for 7 days. She sent pictures daily and left in depth comments after every visit. Percy seemed to have had a great time and was happy and healthy when we returned. Will certainly book again the next time we need a cat sitter!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
