“This is the second time we've worked with Rebekah and again it was a very positive experience! She is timely, communicative, and does a great job with my animals. 😊”

About: My partner and I will work together to provide the best services to other pet parents as we can! By having us as a team support one another, we're able to help more pet parents with their needs! 😊 Cassie: I've had dogs and cats my whole life. When I bought my first house in 2019, I adopted a senior dog who was scheduled to be euthanized simply because her owner passed away and nobody else could take her. She inspired me to want to take care of senior babies who may have additional needs not everybody can manage. I have experience administering oral and topical medication (no needles) for both dogs and cats. Since there's two of us, we do our best to flex schedules to make things work. Cassie works from home full-time and Justin has a hybrid schedule working 3 days in office and 2 days from home. Cassie has a strong attention to detail, so we will follow instructions closely to ensure the safety of all parties involved. We both have experience with dogs and cats, so we know to be careful to avoid any potential issues.

“Lauren did an absolutely wonderful job taking care of our beloved cat Mochi while me and my daughters were away on vacation. The daily updates were mandatory daily reading for us while we were away and the pictures assured us that he was well taken care of. Can't say enough good things about Lauren. She made my first time booking this kind of a service a breeze. We would definitely not hesitate is booking her again and hope that she is available when me and my daughters go on our next adventure. Thanks again Lauren for everything!!”

About: I have been walking dogs for 3 years. The dog I currently walk is a Golden Retriever with a lot of energy! I have also walked other large dogs as well as small dogs. I currently walk a dog every morning Monday through Friday, and 2 small dogs as needed. We enjoy going for walks and to the dog park if requested. We have gone on car rides to different parks for walks as well as walking in the neighborhood. I love the time I get to spend with the dogs. Dog walking is what I do. Every day Monday through Friday I walk a Golden Retriever. After that I am open to taking on more walking or drop in visits. When going to clients homes I am always careful to be sure to lock up the home after our walk. I check to be sure that there is adequate water. I am respectful of others private space and leave things as I find them. I give treats if requested. On hot days we can keep walks shorter if requested. I will also brush your dog if you request this.
About: I have always had a deep love for animals in my l life! I have lived with cats and dogs my entire life—they’ve always been a part of me! I take pride in providing proper care for animals and making sure all of their needs are met. I am a high energy college athlete who absolutely loves animals!

Trust your furry friends to someone with a proven track record of animal care and safety. I work full-time at a dog boarding facility, typically 35-40 hours per week with a mix of morning (6:15 AM - 11:15 AM) and afternoon/evening (12:45 PM - around 7 PM) shifts. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my six years of dedicated, hands-on experience caring for animals around the clock. I grew up with two dogs and a cat, caring for them through all stages of life—including senior care and end-of-life comfort. I also have experience working with rescues my family adopted, which taught me patience and adaptability with animals of different backgrounds and temperaments. I’m confident working with puppies, senior pets, and those needing special attention, and I truly love and treat every animal as if they were my own. I currently have an open schedule, which allows me to be very flexible and fully dedicate time to pet care. I’m able to plan my days around the needs of the pets I’m caring for, making sure I’m available for feeding times, walks, play, and any special routines or requests. When caring for pets, I prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I follow all owner instructions for feeding, medication, and exercise, ensuring fresh water and a clean environment. Whether supervising play, going for walks, or offering companionship, I aim to reduce stress and make pets feel secure and well cared for in any setting.
About: When I was little I used to tell people I lived in a Zoo and though it often felt that way with 4 dogs, 2 cats, a bird and rabbits it was not a reality (maybe one day ;) .) I have been caring for animals since I could hold a leash from walking and feeding dogs to trimming cat nails. In the past 5 years I have raised and trained my own high energy Vizsla as well as cared for a few litters of Bernese Mountain Dogs. I deeply believe the relationship a human has with their furry friend is unique and irreplaceable and my goal as a dog caretaker is to protect those relationships. Not only do I keep your furry babies happy and healthy, but I also strive to create peace of mind for you. I just moved to Minnesota and am diving into the vibrance of life here. With that, I am very flexible on timing. Morning-Day-Night and Weekends are all great for me. I completely understand that each dog owner has preferences and ways they want their babies to be cared for. With that, as I enter someone else's space I do so with a mindset of respect for the guidelines and rules they have laid out. I will care for you dog to the best of my abilities while keeping your wishes at the forefront.

“Cori really loved on my pets and catered to my extra requests. She went above and beyond to carry unexpected large boxes into the garage. She also cleaned my house. Will book again!”

About: I have taken care of dogs of all ages, sizes, and shapes! I love animals large and small and I have dog sat for my neighbors since middle school. My dog is 7 years old now and is my heart. My family and friends call me a dog whisperer because all dogs love me!! I work during weekdays and can move my schedule depending on the needs of the dog. I have a pretty flexible schedule other than during weekdays. I follow the instructions of pet parent requests. Closing bathroom doors, crating, and feeding per instructions given to me for the safety of the animal. Any special requests I am more than able to provide.
About: I am a single mom, who enjoys animals just about as much as I love children. My son loves taking dogs for walks and helping me care for them. It teaches him about responsibility, integrity, and so much more.. Plus we get to play with many different animals and who doesn't love that! I enjoy all breeds of dog whether they are large or small as long as they're friendly with children. I am very professional, and respectful of people, their homes and their pets and have never gotten a bad review from any customer that I've ever had. I always go the extra mile to make the customer and the pet feel as comfortable as possible because it's hard to leave a pet, and also hard for a pet when the owner leaves.

About: I lived with 2 cats for a majority of my life. I have experience watching animals for family and friends, looking to meet new best friends. I am currently working full time and going to school part time to earn my master’s degree. Looking for a fun side job to keep life interesting. I am open to having the animals out in the open or crated when not around. Would love to have a yard to play with animals, but not opposed to going to local parks.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
