About: Hello, I have worked for rescues I volunteered for shelters. I’m that crazy cat lady that will pick up an injured cat off of the side of the road or in the neighborhood that needs help because as human beings we are here to help the helpless and give them a voice. Hello, I foster and help out with the stray community of cats. I am very into TNR trap neuter release I think as human beings we are here to help the helpless and give these animals a voice. I care for my animals on a daily basis. Make sure my dogs are walked, played with and make sure their emotional needs are taken care of. About: I've had dogs ever since I was 10, but my experience with them goes far beyond that. When I was a little kid, before I ever had a dog, I would go to this read with a dog program called "Paws to Read." I would spend countless hours reading to the dogs and befriending them, along with a cat or two here and there. When I was 10, I got my first dog, a husky, and gave him a wonderful life. He had quite a few medical issues and behaved older for his age because of it, so I know how to provide senior pet care. He has since passed, but my two current dogs, one pitbull and one pitsky, remind me every day how important pets are to me. I've had them both for eight years now, during which we've taken numerous car rides, walks, enjoyed outside and inside playtime, movie nights, and anything a dog could dream of. Now, while I've never had a cat because of the majority of my family being allergic, I never turn away from a cat. I'm a regular at the Gem City Catfe, where I play with the cats often and have gone so often that they are comfortable with me. I keep cat and dog treats on me in case I come across a stray, because all cats and dogs deserve to feel some love. I've also dog-sat and house-sat for a few friends before, so I know how to handle situations like pets not getting along, bathroom accidents, and being a bit of a picky eater. Currently, I am a full time student and work full time at UDRI (UD's Research Institute) from 8:30am - 3:30am. During the summer I won't be taking any in person classes, just two online. But when I return to UD for my final year, I will be taking classes again and may be slightly more limited. When it comes to my pets and caring for clients pets, the comfort of the pet is most important to me. Personally, my two dogs don't get along with each other very well, so they typically have to be separated. Even so, I always make sure to treat them both equally and give them lots of love! If I take one for a car ride and ice cream, I bring ice cream back for the other and take the other for a car ride later that week. If my client has dogs similar to mine, who need to be separated, I would be sure to treat them equally and split my time with them according to my client's requests. Given single-pet households, I'd spend a lot of my time with them! In my downtime, I'd make sure to sit with them while I work on coursework. I'd be sure to take them on walks and go for potty breaks. And of course I'd make sure we get a lot of play time in and lots of love!

About: All my life I've been interested in animals. I grew up with a dog, a cat, and a snake, and my work in the field has involved all sorts of animal husbandry, from shearing sheep to catching alligators or banding songbirds. Sometimes I feel I understand animals better than people which helps me provide specialized one-on-one care to meets your beloved pet's needs. I want to ensure that they feel as safe, comfortable, and well-loved with me as they do with you! I'm currently taking some online classes, so my schedule is pretty flexible! Right now I have a lot of time Fridays-Mondays which I would love to spend taking care of some special pets. I don't have access to a fenced-in yard currently and would not be able to host a dog to the best of my ability. I've taken care of cats at my house, however, and have found that they quickly feel at ease in my home environment. My kitty passed away last year, unfortunately, but I am home often and will provide as much company and attention as your pet desires. I want them to know they have a friend in me.

“Emma was great with our dogs, however. We met with her prior to booking so we could get to know her and our dogs could meet her as well. We spoke about the time being 12noon and that was not a problem. The first day (Monday) she was here on time, the next 3 days she arrived at 1pm. 1 hr later then discussed. Then Friday morning she texted us stating she was stuck at a house she was cleaning and was not gonna be able to make it. My wife had to rush from work in Sidney to take them out, then rush back. Keep in mind we had already paid for the entire week.”

I cared quite often for a dog with congestive heart failure who needed medicine & needed monitored for his breathing & risk for fainting. I’ve also cared for blind dogs and older dogs with dementia. Some of the dogs I’ve watched take medicine or have dietary supplements and restrictions. I’ve never had any pet emergencies while pet-sitting for others, but did have to take my family dog on an emergency run in her final days which resulted in her passing from old age at 16 years. I mention this to say, if an emergency would ever arise while pet sitting- I am familiar with the process to get the dog help. I have MedVet info saved to my phone so you can rest easy knowing I am prepared for any out of the ordinary circumstances any time of day or night. I also like cats & have done cat sitting on a more rare occasion, including homes with a cat and dog, or only cats. I have lived with a cat who was very close to me in recent years so I am familiar with their behaviors and needs. I’ve also administered medication to a cat with FIV although it is a bit tricky. About: Things to know about me: 1. I’ve been dog-obsessed since before the age of 5. I’m now 40(ish), and still have to control my natural and immediate impulse to pet every dog I see. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 15. I have helped family members, coworkers, neighbors, and other families by feeding, walking, playing with, etc. with their dogs, including both daytime visits and overnight stays.
