Welcome to Happy Tails and Trails Pet Services! Hi! I'm Karen! I'm the sole owner of Happy Tails and Trails Pet Services and I’m living my dream as a full-time dog mom! I offer dedicated, professional and family oriented pet care in my home. My care is individually tailored to your pet! Every pet is different and I do everything within my power to help your pet feel safe and comfortable while boarding or attending daycare in my home. I'm an honest, protective and reliable pet parent who has raised both cats and dogs from babyhood to seniors. I take great care of my pets, with my oldest mixed breed pup living to the age of 23! I love to spoil and baby my pets, my grand-pets and the pets of my friends! I can offer your special fur baby the care you’d be giving when you can’t be there. I’m a home owner, and have a safe and clean pet yard and many outdoor activities to keep your pup active and healthy. Your furkid will return home happy, tired and ready for a good nap! I have expertise in puppy training, behavioral training, elder care, giving medications and can feed and provide accommodations to your preferences. My home is very pet friendly, with safety gates, and dog beds aplenty! All animals in my home are treated like family and by the end of their visit have made lifelong furfriends! Extra services can be added (grooming, walking or bathing) as needed for posted rates. Your animals will always be happy to see me! My pets are my family, and yours will be too! The primary goal for my business is to create relationships with my clients furkids so pet parents are comfortable leaving pets in my care anytime they need to. I love repeat customers! NEW SERVICE: pick ups and drops off available within 20 mile radius for a max fee of $25 fee (depending on distance) to and from your home. PICK UP: is expected 24 hours from drop off, extensions can be made dependent on sitters schedule at an additional fee of $2 an hour (per pet). I offer in person (in my yard), virtual or coming to you meet and greets. I can use Messenger, Zoom or Google Meet. I also offer contactless drop off and pick up if you'd prefer that. A well socialized and exercised dog is a happy dog! (Also, please know that my cats are “dog-raised” since birth and they are extremely dog friendly, so please don’t worry about your dog bothering them), they have their own cozy room space and don't venture out much. Karen was fantastic! My dogs, two larger breeds, enjoyed hanging out with her and the other dogs and got lots of outside time. I got pictures of my pups several times a day and she gave them rotisserie chicken with their meals. If I need my dogs watched again, I will definitely go back to her inbox!

Karen is dependable and punctual! She is very professional and at the same time I can tell my dog really enjoyed his walks with her. I cannot recommend her highly enough, and I will not hesitate to request her again. Her knowledge about dogs is also extremely helpful. I needed someone to walk my dog after a surgical procedure and I couldn’t be more happy that I chose Karen.
Karen was extremely accommodating when I needed a last minute dog sitter. Max came back tired out after playing with his new friends in the giant yard. I'm looking into taking Max back for more play dates.

My yard is fully fenced and dogs are watched diligently when outside. The above ground pool my pool has a fence that prevents any pup from accessing the water without me present. Dogs are fed separately and there is always fresh water available both inside and outside through automatic waterers. All water play (splash pad or doggie pool) is supervised.

A typical days is pups getting up and going out for the first potty break of the day, then everyone plays either inside (or outside) depending on weather. Pups will then all get breakfast, I enforce an hour period in order for pups to digest their food before they can play again. We will then have both inside and outside playtime and allow for pups who may need frequent breaks (my older or younger pups) dinner is anywhere between 5-7 depending on dog activities. I try to get all the pups settled by at least 9pm and get them ready for bed. Depending on parent requests, some dogs may sleep in my room on a dog bed or with me, while others may have their own rooms or kennels that parents would like them to sleep in.
