She took such great care of both Jasper my super finicky outdoor cat (Mainecoon), that doesn’t generally warm up to folks upon meeting and Cooper, my super high energy, Australian Shepherd. She took Cooper to the park every day and even took him to the beach to play. She got Jasper to come in and eat and play twice a day which is next to a miracle. She sent pictures throughout the day to show how much fun the pets were having with her. They both went on a walk with her and seem to really love her.”

About: I have had my own cat for 5 years, and have cat-sit for several friends over the years. I also grew up with dogs, and have experience mostly with mid-size to larger dogs and some experience dog sitting for friends with smaller breeds. As a scientist, I have worked with animals for several years as well, and have experience with animal husbandry, handling, and care for several fish species, mice, and rats. I am a animal lover and animal welfare and comfort is a priority for me :) I'm currently working remote, so I'll have lots of time to hang out with your pups and kitties. I'd be available to keep your fur baby company at home and give them some play time and attention. I am very adaptable to my clients' environment! However your pet is most comfortable - crated, on the move, or hiding in their favorite spot - I'll be happy to hang with them! I have animal care experience in informal and scientific environments (I'm a Ph.D. trained scientist!) and have handled complex care instructions. About: I grew up surrounded by animals and I have had dogs and cats as pets all my life. I genuily care for them, for their hapiness and well being. I respect their boudaries and I am mindful for their heatlh. I never skip playtime (including for cats, if they want to, of course), and part of my reward is receiving that wigly-tail and belly-up combo, and I think a purr is the best sound in the world. I am responsible, always on time, and have years of experience sitting pets, including senior dogs. I could do night care, weekends and even some hours during weekdays if close to my location. Really depends on each specific situation, but I am very flexible. I have a fenced area with over 400 sqft for playtime. My neighborhood is very dog friendly and safe, with an off leash park close by if desired. I have also taken dogs in hikes nearby on weekends for longer exercise time.

“We had Alexis housesit and pet sit for our two cats and dog. We were pleased with her interaction with our dog, taking him for walks and sending pictures. She was spot on on her assessment of our female cat, noting that she ruled the house. The biggest surprise was that she was able to get our very feral kitty inside. Quite the feat. When we arrived home, the house was as we left it. She kept everything nice and tidy. It is nice to now have a person we can count on for our future travels!”
