About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. Four years ago I gained the privilege of having a friend of my own named Draco! He’s a long haired tabby cat and he’s a sassy little guy who loves chin scratches and window watching. I’ve taken care of friends and families pets for years and I’m ready to extend that care thorough this service. Furry friends here I come! 🐾 I’m currently working full time as a barista and I am available any time past 12pm. All days of the week are open for me. House sitting will be discussed one on one basis and we will discuss the best options for your furry family members. I keep my kitty indoors and he is fully up to date on all shots and medications! He plays well with other animals and is pretty desensitized since I am often watching animals for friends or family. The neighborhood I live in is very safe and is a great place for walking dogs and getting some outside time.

About: I’ve been responsible for pet care in my household for nearly 30 years. Cats, dogs, rabbits, birds—all the fur babies! I’m happy to be a temporary best friend with your furry loved ones while you’re away, from St Bernards to tabbies and everything in between, for an hour or a week—I’ve got it covered :) I work on a contracted schedule and can build my regular day around your pet needs, whether for a few hours or a few weeks. I enjoy daily walks and have tons of time and patience to bring your furry friend with me for some exercise. Your pets are safe in your home with me! I ensure that I know the ins and outs of the space before I join your furry friend alone. I believe in maintaining the routines and boundaries you have in place so that your pet feels as comfortable and relaxed in their own space.

About: I’ve owned and cared for dogs and cats and other pets since 1986. Love, trust, patience and high respect with animals are my #1 priority! I have volunteered with Animal Protective League as well as adopted cats from there. I am pretty much a person who takes home a stray animal who needs a home. My family has taken in 20 cats in the last 25 years that were strays on the street and kept them their whole lives. We have owned, to this date, 14 dogs dating as far back as when I was a toddler. Trust is everything and you can be rest assured that your pets will be lovingly cared for while you enjoy time away! Animals are my passion and I look forward to meeting yours! I am currently a stay-at-home mom. I own 11 cats. I am available for long-term and short-term periods. I am flexible with schedules and times and days depend on the client’s needs as well as pet needs. Currently, I am available for walking dogs, watching cats, as well as checking in and feeding animals at the client’s house during the client’s absence. Please contact me for further details and a custom schedule! Currently not providing pet care in my home. Pet care will be provided in the client’s home. When pet daycare services become available in my home, it will be announced!

She took great care of our cat while we were away for the week. He normally doesn’t do well with people and immediately wanted love and affection from her. We will absolutely use her again.

Laura was seriously so sweet and amazing with my kitty! 🥹 This was my first time leaving her while I was away, so of course I was a little worried, but Laura made me feel so much better. She sent me cute pictures and updates, played with her, and I could tell my kitty was super comfortable with her. She even left out the red string they were playing with, and when I got home my kitty was STILL obsessed with it 😂❤️. I’m so glad I found someone I can trust with my little kitty. Definitely would book with Laura again!! 🐱💕

Jossalyn took such great care of our kitties, and communicated very well with us throughout our trip. She didn’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, and was very sweet and gentle with our cats. She even convinced our one skittish cat who normally never comes out for cat sitters to come out and eat some tube treat from her! She also sent cute pics of them for each visit. :) I would definitely book with her again!

Ashlee was wonderful - she gave me updates about our cats' moods and showed concern when one kitty had a tender ear. We're definitely rebooking her in the future!

FAQs for Cat Sitting - Southern View

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
