“Sarah was amazing! I was traveling out of town on business and Sarah agreed to come walk my Chiweenie. They were kind, and Chiweenie was very chatty with Sarah. I’m sure they’re friends forever now.”

“Cat was so great watching our cats for a few days on somewhat late notice. She was attentive to messages and gave frequent updates. When we came back our cats were completely unbothered by us being gone for the long weekend! Would recommend and use again.”

About: I’ve been providing excellent dog walking/sitting services for 5 years with neighbors and friends. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, throughout all ages. I’ve had over 15 dogs throughout my lifetime and they hold a special place in my heart! I’m currently a student at the University of Kentucky and have classes on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. I’m available all day Monday and Wednesday. I have a loving and friendly Bernese Mountain Dog living with me and a fenced in dog park with obstacles to play on. If your dog requires to be crated I can easily do that too!
“Kayla's oversight and care of "Jones" was all, and more than I could have ever hoped for as a new "Rover" client. Even though Jones proved herself to be a bit of a 'skeerdy cat' and may have tried to throw Kayla a few curves when Kayla was attempting to locate Jones during her first drop in visits, Kayla persisted, taking time to make sure that her charge was always both well fed & watered but 'present and accounted for'. It was this attention to detail and persistence by Kayla shown in the twice her daily texts with photos from of her drop in visits that gave me the confidence I needed to fully enjoy my long delayed Christmas respite with my geographically distant family. I would commend Kayla to any Rover customer who is seeking a compassionate, competent and caring caretaker for their pet. Robert, with Jones' kitty paw of approval also”

“Rachel took great care of our cat! She was flexible with his needs, followed all care instructions perfectly, and provided lots of play time and pets at every drop-in. Communication with her was easy and prompt. She also was very respectful of our home and kept it tidy. Highly recommend!!”

“Kara was wonderful! We had never left our cats alone for more than 2 days and were anxious about just having drop in visits for 4-5 days. She was communicative, thorough, and great with the cats. Even our shy cat came out of her shell for play time during visits which amazed me. I will absolutely be using her services again and would recommend her highly!”

“Margaret, thanks so much for taking care of my cat. Margaret is very nice and professional. Her drop-in visit notes made me feel that my cat was well and healthy, comforting my heart. I will definitely book her visits for cat sitting again!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for many years and have experience pet sitting for multiple families, including drop-in visits and overnight care. I’ve cared for cats regularly over several years, watched dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds. I also volunteer through Doggy Day Out at the shelter, where I help walk and socialize dogs, and I grew up with a family dog, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I enjoy walks, playtime, cuddles, and making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. I have experience incorporating caregiving and pet care into my daily routine and enjoy creating consistent schedules for feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. I am organized, dependable, and make it a priority to ensure pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. My schedule allows me to provide regular walks, check-ins, enrichment, and quality time, and I always work to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel at home. I spend a lot of time at home and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and consistency throughout the week. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routines as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress. I make sure pets have fresh water, are fed on schedule, and receive plenty of attention, enrichment, playtime, and companionship. I prioritize safety by keeping doors and outdoor areas secure, being attentive during walks and potty breaks, and cleaning litter boxes as needed. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel informed, reassured, and connected while away.

“Brittany has been amazing. My dog is super stubborn and timid and he wouldn’t go out, and then the next day he finally warmed up to her and he let her take him out. She sends pics, and great updates. Very thankful for her! Highly recommend”

About: I have been a cat owner my entire life as well as watching other peoples pets for several years and I am always very reliable! I am currently a college student but I have a pretty open schedule. I only am taking a few classes this year since I am a senior, so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your babies! I love my animals so I take very good care of them! I always make sure to clean the litter box, fill up the food and water, give lots of love and occasionally a treat or two! I love playing with animals and give them lots of attention so you do not need to worry about your pet feeling unloved when you are gone.

“Jeff is very good at communicating and sending photos even when our kitties are hiding most of the time. He’s always on time and cares so much about the furry babies!”

About: I’m a newly graduated animal science student from the University of Kentucky. I am currently pursuing my masters of Veterinary Science! I have lots of hands on experience with dogs. I have also successfully help train three service dogs for veterans and children with disabilities. I am currently pursuing my masters online so I am pretty flexible once I get all of my work done! I have a car and willing to travel up to 10 miles. I do not take any in home clients! However, I am very respectful of homes and will not disturb anything. I am happy to bring pups on a walk as well!

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and took care of them since I was a young teenager. I have owned a cat for a year now, who’s a challenge himself. I also volunteered at a local shelter throughout high school and college. I start a job in late June, and until then I am completely free! (except the 2nd-9th of June) I normally stay up later, but I can be flexible. For cats there’s a clean litter box and toys, but dog toys and treats would need to be provided. With dogs we can play inside my townhome (I live alone and the cat can be locked in my bedroom) and go to the park right next to my complex.
Southern Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
Shannon was amazing with my 2 cats. One had been abused before we adopted her and is extremely non-social and very skittish. After a few days he was able to give her a little pet which is just a testament to the care he took with her.He sent great information and pics and I could not have asked for anyone better. Great communication, punctual, went above and beyond, highly recommend!

We felt so comfortable throughout our trip with Angelee checking in on our cat! She was communicative, provided important updates with wonderful pictures, and paid close attention to our instructions! Our cat can get a bit finicky/down when we are out of town, but Angelee did an amazing job keeping him on his routine and making extra efforts to make sure he was well fed and well loved! We came home to a very happy and well cared for cat!

I valued Ariel responsiveness and conscientious care are for our two kitties. One of them is very skittish and the other one is pretty old. They both seemed comfortable with Ariel and came out of hiding to hang out with her--which is a big deal, and unusual! I am grateful that I didn't need to worry about our fur babies during our trip. If we have future trips, I hope Ariel will be available to watch them again.

Emelyn has been absolutely wonderful. Reliable, communicative, and clearly loves what she does, she always takes such great care of our dog. We come home to a happy, well-exercised pup every time. It’s such a comfort knowing our dog is in such capable and caring hands—highly recommend!
Ashleigh was great! She helped take care of Penelope while I was out of town for work and did an awesome job. She was so loving towards Penelope and made sure she was well taken care of! She was on time, thorough, and provided lots of pictures and visit recaps!

Addelynn was great watching my cats, and would definitely recommend her! Super easy communication to schedule and coordinate keys with her. She took care of both my cats & sent updates and photos for my peace of mind while I was away. It seems like she already became close friends with my cat Ricky who was purring in her lap after only 2 visits, which makes having to be away even easier <3
